They never showed up. They send a text that they're on their way and 15, 30, 45 minutes later they still haven't showed up.

This is the continuation of my previous review and experience with Stanley Steemer. I was contacted after many attempts to talk to a supervisor and or manager. They came to inspect the damage caused for the heat of the steam. They decided to help me a little bit to repair the damage with a handyman. I wasn't expecting to receive anything just wanted them to take my situation in consideration and let customers know that it could be a damage to the floor. I appreciate that they took the time to come to my house and look what happened. It would be great if they take things seriously and return customers calls especially if there is a complaint. Stanley Steemer is not prompt, their service is not good, their equipment is weaker than local private companies, they have always left me wanting a second cleaning. Additionally, they apparently don't know what a COI is for anyone in a condo, which is half of not more of Miami. Their prices are much more than any local service I have used. I've been using Stanley Steamer for the past few years. They are always professional, efficient and responsive. They have also been accommodating to me given my difficult building requirements (in the Brickell area in Miami). I was given a 9am - 2pm window and they arrived during that time. I received a phone call 30 mins prior from them to let me know that the cleaning crew was on the way. They just recently steam cleaned my carpets and did a great job. The only thing that has changed recently is that they have increased the minimum job price for apartments to $300 (previously was $150 for just carpet cleaning). However, they allow you to add in other services to get to the minimum price. This time, I was able to add in the bathroom + sofa cleaning for the $300 minimum. So, more money for the job but you also get more value and more services (money I would have spent on other cleaners anyway). The only thing that is a little confusing is that you can add promotions to lower the price. When I spoke to the crew, they said that even if you add the promotions, the price will not go below the $300. This should be a little more clear on the site. Note: I think that minimums are dependent on zip code so this may not apply to all jobs. Overall, happy with the service and value. They are organized, professional and communicative. read more

Called for cleaning my shop carpet and they did chairs and mats without hesitation great service

They ruined my tile with a chemical they used to clean it. I saw the damage as soon as the tech was done, and he reported it to his manager. It then took 6 months to get their supposed neutral 3rd party assessor to look at the floor. Stanley Steemer then tried to claim the damage was already there, I just did not see it. It was a blatant lie. I would've thought you could trust such a large company to do the right thing, but that's not the case. BEWARE!! read more

First, the two men who came our condo were extremely professional and cared a lot about their quality of work. They seemed to try their best to clean our sofa and remove stains. HOWEVER,, although they arrived in a nice new van their cleaning equipment was old, beat up and did not function well. Our sofa still has several scuffs that were not removed and I think it might be due to an ineffective old machine. After about 30 mins of cleaning the machine began to burn. We would plug it in all over the condo and it continued to smell like burned plastic. The brought the machine into our outdoor hallway and the burned plastic smell went with it. After the first 30 minutes of the machine working it failed. The guys plugged it in all around the condo and it kept tripping our circuit breakers! We were told it was us. It was not. All of our electricity if functioning properly. We tested with a high volume vacuum. All went well. Although their machine may have worked properly at other jobs I believe the machine had finally given out. I'm left to spot clean the remaining scuffs and stains. Since they could not use their machine the Stanley Steemer guys took my area rug back to their store to clean it. Although they gave us a $25 discount we ended up paying more for the removing and cleaning of the carpet. In total, although the Stanley Steemer commercials show you new, state of the art looking equipment they arrived to us with a big old dirty clunker. Not worth the money. Disappointed. Again, the young men were not at fault. Their equipment failed them.** Oh! Pls know their vans cannot fit into a 7.5 foot parking garage. Don't waste your time I set an appointment and the arrival time was between the times of 8a and 12p, which is fine. However, I got a text saying that the technicians were in their way at 7:40a, leading me to think I had the first appointment of the day. Makes sense right? I called at 8:40 to see what was going on, I was told it'll be 20-30 more minutes. By 10:00a, I had to call back to cancel because no one had shown up. Keep in mind that there is no direct number to a local store. And so I sat through 2 calls to a 1800 number, was transferred around and had to suffer through the menu options prompting me to push different numbers and all. This inconvenienced me in so many ways as I cleared my schedule for my own business for that time block. I rushed my son off to school early to get him out of the way for the techs to work. My husband ran around moving all sorts of stuff out of the way so the carpet and entryway would be clear. And now we have out of town guests coming in but we still have dirty carpet. What a nightmare! Too bad, I would've been a repeat customer and recommended this company to others. Instead, I'm writing this review and will never call them again. I got my sectional sofa with ottoman cleaned. The smell that was left from my daughters letting the dog on my sofa is completely gone. Im very happy and satisfied with the work. I had the pleasure to have Reynier as my cleaner. He was very polite, professional and patient. Most definitely would recommend them to my friends and family. I recommended Stanley Steemer to our property manager as doing really good work. Boy, was I wrong!! They knocked off 12 hallway floors in half a day, and charged us $2000. There were endless missed spots on our carpet tiles. The SS manager said they would send technicians back out on Monday between nine and one Nine and one actually meant if they've arrived at 12:59 PM and work for another three or four hours, they would've met their "window." AS IT TURNED OUT THEY PULLED A NO SHOW AND DID NOT CALL, EITHER! So, I end up having to spend the whole day waiting for them to show to show them, floor by floor, all the missed areas which they should've done right the first time For my time and trouble I asked the manager if he could throw in a cleaning for a tiny sports car for free or for a small charge. The small charge is $80, no exceptions. Horrible, horrible customer relations only interested in a money grab. Stanley Steemer just doesn't care about making things right. Additionally they could not wet the chairs. This is after describing in full detail what was needed to customer service. My experience with Stanley Steemer was nothing short of perfect. I made my appointment late in the night and they were here just in time the next afternoon. My tech's name was Aldo, and he had to have provided the best customer service I've ever experienced. Very quick, very professional, and sociable all while maintaining all the sanitary precautions recommended by the CDC during this pandemic. I highly recommend. I am extremely please with the exceptional service provided by two employees, Luis Perez and Robert LaBelle. Yesterday they came to clean and repair the carpet in my mom's house, and I am deeply impressed not only by the excellent work done by these two gentlemen, but also by their kindness and professionalism. My mom is elderly, and she recently tripped over ripples that had appeared in the carpet and suffered an injury. Luis and Robert went above and beyond to make sure that the carpet was smoothed out so as not to pose any further danger to my mom. Our appointment was in the afternoon, and even though I understand repairs are usually done in the morning, these gentlemen willingly did the work then and there, being so considerate of the special circumstances involved. I am grateful that these guys, surely two of this company's greatest assets, were so helpful and kind during a difficult time. This company is fortunate to have Luis Perez and Robert LaBelle as employees, as their professionalism and personability reflects positively on this company and inspires customer loyalty. In 2014 I used Stanley Steamer in 2 different occasions and the work they did was outstanding. Unfortunately I CAN NOT say that anymore. On February 7, 2015 I requested the EXACT same service i had previously had done in 2014. The service on that day( February 7,2015) was HORRIBLE. The crew entered and acted like they cleaned my carpet and all they did was spray hot water . My Carpet was left dirty and swamped i water. It took nearly 3 days for my carpet to dry( having my AC on and my windows and doors opened during the daylight hours. After I complaint of the service, I was told that a manager would be contacting me to review my complaint..... Well Im still waiting for that alleged manager to contact me. read more

I used to use this company because their customer service was great and their prices very competitive. I just got off the phone with the company and they informed me that I will now pay double the price that I paid in 2015. I am asking for the exact same service. I do not understand how a company can justify a price increase of double in just 2 years. I paid 157.00 dollars in 2015 and now they want to charge me 425.00 dollars for the same service. This was a horrible experience. These people are very unprofessional. The two men crew decided that it was a good idea to remove the bathroom shower head to fill their bucket while placing it inside the shower. What they did not know is that the bathroom had been re-grouted that same morning in white. They failed to remove some stains but I don't think they even tried. I would not recommend Stanley Steemer and will never use them again. I hope that the manager and the regional manager do the right thing by me. The office that I used is number 17. This company is a NIGHTMARE. After yrs of using them, I will be looking for an alternative. The past few times, the actual price once they get to the house, is HUNDREDS more than the price quoted when I made the appointment. Now, again, I've been using this company for eons, and there is literally no customer service. Their service is shit for the customer. They literally take advantage of the customer & try to bully once they come for the service trying to convince you that you need a lot more services done for 4X the original price quoted. Payed way to much money for 10mins worth of service. Ordered services for a 1 bedroom Hardwood floor cleaning. The cost was $91 but since an order can't be less than $150, $49 was added to the bill. Fine we placed an order anyway. Only to find out we would be charged $68 additionally for a "Maint. Coat." Highway robbery is what I call it and definitely not worth it. This company is a nightmare that never ends. I hired them to clean 3 area rugs and my stone floors. The 8x10 rug is very expensive and they nearly ruined it. The day after they cleaned it, it smelled like I had 50 cats in my apartment. Very moldy because they left it soaking wet. They offered to clean it again and did, but it was beyond cleaning. I had to hire Rugsies (highly recommend) to hand dip it twice to get the horrible smell out. Besides this issue, one of the smaller rugs didn't look clean either so I had Rugsies clean it again. Additionally, now my stone floors have several holes in areas where their machine was too strong for the floor. The manager, Ian, lacked customer service skills and fought to have me pay the bill anyway. He eventually offered to reduce it by $160, when I had to pay Rugsies $380.00 and had holes in my stone floors. Today a two-man crew of Eder and Edwim came to clean our sofa. They did an incredible job, worked very hard and got our sofa very clean, showing me the visibly dirty water they had extracted during the cleaning process. We have two small dogs who like to sit on the sofa, so dog hairs and some dog sweat were visible and smell-able. Edwin and Eder took time to look over the sofa, identify the problem spots and then worked on those spots extra diligently. They arrived right in the middle of the 5 hour window provided at the time I made the appointment. Don't be fooled into thinking these people are the pros, my pet stains looked/smelled worse after they attempted to clean it. When customer service called me the next day they offered to come back out to redo the area I was unhappy with. I waited all day and they didn't show up! I had a terrible experience with Stanley Steemer. First, I received a call stating they were on their way about an hour and half into their time window. Then I get a call stating they do not have a portable machine. I was informed this is what is used in "High Rises". In my order had the address of Collins Avenue (which only has high rises) and the apt number as 14 did not give them a clue. Then they inform me there is an additional $75 fee for the use of the portable machine. I have yet to seen this "disclaimer which the manager stated over and over again is in my order. Then the manager did me a "favor" to reschedule later in the day and finally offered 50% off but only on the $75 portable machine. This still baffles me. If I was in the business of cleaning carpets in high rises I would have purchase of portable machine as a cost of doing business in high rises. I would not so that I may charge more. I express my dissatisfaction with the whole waste of my day and asked the manager to please don't have the crew rush my cleaning because you "squeezed me in" the full schedule. Second, the crew final came in 20 minutes before the close of their time window. They did not pre spot cleaning or spraying. They started to say things like "Wow this carpet is old", "when was the last time you had it clean", "you did not use us last time we cannot guarantee we can get it clean in just one visit" etc. I just asked them to do the best they can. I had a big spot where one of my plants was located. They told me again they would not be able to clean out the stain. As he promised he did not remove the stain. Third, when it came to the billing was also an issue. I showed them one small bedroom which is 11x10 and they only cleaning on the sides and front of the bed. Didn't even move the small night stand. I ask for that room to not be included since it is not 300 square feet. To be honest I placed in the order 1200 square feet when the apartment is 1264 square feet including the two full restrooms and the full eat in kitchen which was not included in this order. Their response was since I placed it in the order they could not remove the charge. Then I asked the obvious question had I under estimated would they be able to charge me more? Of course the answer was yes. Then I gave them my credit card, then a 2nd card. They kept telling me there might be something wrong with my cards. They ask me to write a check and I ask them to call their office and run the first credit card. After 15minutes we get an approval and they went on their way. I went back the next night to the stain from the plant. Grab some warm water, laundry detergent, little bleach, a scrub brush and went to work. After 5 minutes and my wet-dry vacuum the area was cleaned. I wish I could post these pictures. The last person I use was a local small vendor. He did spot clean my carpets, used a circular brush machine and them the portable machine for only $100 and he spent 2 and a half hours working. Stanley Steemer at $189 including the discount for the portable machine. I wish I had not lost the small vendors card. Lesson, give your local small vendors a chance, they care. These big companies just see us as a number! read more

there was a smell in my car's seatbelt. i had stanley steamer steam clean my entire car interior. the service part was good. however, there was residue left over once they were completed. I'll have to have someone detail the interior. the smell in the seat-belt remained and eventually went aways. i don't feel they cleaned that area thoroughly enough. i feel i would of done a better job renting a steam cleaner at publix for $30, instead of spending $110. However, the main job of getting rid of the odor did happen. read more
