When we called for a pick up at the airport a driver arrived with our car in the promised 15 minutes and when we got back to the car rental location to process the paperwork there was no line and I was quickly out the door. All the staff were very friendly and the car was clean and in good condition. We priced compared for the weak rental of a jeep and they were definitely the best. They met us at the airport within minutes of getting our bags and checked on us via text a few days into our trip. She provided a child seat for my 2 year old daughter for free. The only gripe was that the care was completely bare boned. We had a tan Toyota Echo that had no power locks or windows and a noticeable amount of cosmetic damage on the outside. The interior had a "lived in" scent and was a little bit sticky to the feel. The child seat she lent us was I guess a bit old so it it would not tighten to the child safety latches well. If would bring my own child seat next time but it was very nice of her to provide it free of charge. For the roads in St Thomas, I would suggest getting some sort of compact SUV at the very least since it is speed bump heaven over there. Bottom line is the car was fairly priced, it had a motor and air conditioning. I would definitely rent from her again but I would probably upgrade to a slightly newer and better car.

These machines are no joke either modern Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet skis that'll absolutely fly across the water if you let them. Next thing you know, we're out there like a couple of overgrown kids checking off a bucket-list item I normally wouldn't splurge on. Another couple pulled up beside us and suddenly it turned into what felt like the Caribbean Grand Prix. Hard banking turns, hopping wakes, spraying each other with rooster tails of water like a bunch of irresponsible pirates. At one point it felt less like jet skiing and more like bumper cars on the ocean. The laughter, the shouting, the pure reckless joy of the moment it was childish, ridiculous, and absolutely unforgettable. I'm not saying we broke every rule... but I'm also not saying we didn't. Now don't get me wrong be responsible out there. These guys take safety seriously, with briefings, life jackets, and a safety boat nearby while you ride. But I'll say this: from the friendly staff to the convenient location (even our cab driver told us to go there), it turned into one of the most fun memories of the whole trip. Nobody got hurt, nothing got damaged, we didn't get hauled off by the marine police and somehow we rode back to the dock laughing like kids who just got away with something. I usually save my money for boat tours and cruises... but this? Totally worth it. One of the wildest, funniest afternoons I've ever had on the water.

Omar, our driver, was always on time and had the SUV in tip top shape. Clean inside and out and smelled nice. Omar did a great job navigating us back to the airport on the final day of Carnival. We had just landed from a long flight, it was 90 degrees and building was not air conditioned. Woman behind the counter was super unfriendly, and kept trying to sell us add ons and insurance. It took almost 30 minutes before we got the car keys and she said she didn't know what spot it would be in so I'd have to walk around the parking garage with the remote and listen. When we finally found it, the car itself was in reasonable condition and had about 8000 miles on it. There was a large scrape on one side, but there wasn't an available attendant to report it to and I didn't want to woman at the counter again, so I documented it with my camera. It looked like it was vacuumed on the inside, but exterior wasn't washed. When I returned the car, the amount charged was about $25 more than the amount on the reservation. AVIS customer service couldn't locate my account, reservation or even the vehicle number in their system. They told me to send them photocopies of the emails they sent me. UGGH. I rent cars about 10 times a year and will not rent from AVIS again.

Bait & Switch - Insurance scam! Rented a car because of a…read moregood rate. At the counter, I declined insurance. The rep would not rent me the car without accepting their insurance. He said my card did not provide coverage on the Island - I confirmed with Amex that was a lie - and I suspect it is a common tactic for this franchise owned location. I took it so I could get on with my trip. It added $260 to the cost of the rental.
