*****WARNING***** do not go here if you value your clothes and check with your hotel to see where they send the dry cleaning. Staying at the Fairfield I've sent items it and had to complain more than once. They love to blame it on the manufacturer of a garment if it is damaged and don't take any responsibility until you call, complain and make them. My wool dress was supposed to be hand washed delicately and the cuffed sleeves came back stained yellow with spots and all they did was blame the binding and refunded me $17. The dress came back worse the second time around. They did not offer to replace the cuffs at all. The sleeves were frayed. The dress cost me $120 and they said they're not responsible due to a manufacture defect even though I'm sure their seamstress could have replaced my cuffs. My dress is now completely unwearable. They broke a zipper on a second dress and then had the audacity to tell me that the zipper wasn't broken. I had to tell them numerous times that it worked before being sent in and now does not I.E the dress zipper IS BROKEN. After 5 min of back and forth she said she could take it in and replace the zipper for a cost which lead to another 5 min of discussing the fact that they should do it for free. The dress finally did come back after they replaced the zipper. Save yourself the trouble of losing loved garments and just do your dry cleaning at a better more responsible place. Stannard is irresponsible with clothes and does not know how to take care of customers. read more

I never leave reviews, but I am not happy with my experience here at all. I took my letterman jacket in to get cleaned for my senior pictures, and they asked for my name and number which I guess is standard. From that, I thought they would call me when it was done; they didn't. I went in a few days later to pick it up, and it looked terrible like it hadn't even been touched. It seemed all they did was lint roll it to get some hair/fuzz off of the back which I could have done myself. One of my letters is one year older than the other two, and I haven't had it cleaned since I added my two new ones, making my first letter a little darker in color. When I got it back, it was almost the exact same and my colors were not even close to the same color. I took it back to complain because I was not at all happy with the results. I called earlier this morning to check if it was ready to be picked up, and they said they "had already called and left a message". When I said I didn't get any messages, they said it was my phone's fault. Anyway, I went in to pick it up and the lady working told me that there was absolutely nothing they could do to make it look better because the colors would "bleed". On top of all of this, we didn't get a refund. I would absolutely not recommend this dry cleaner to anyone. And yes, these are the after photos. read more

Do not bother with this dry cleaner. I brought in shirts before, a fairly simple task. I just thought they were overpriced. They cannot handle anything that a typical dry cleaner should. Pet hair? Forget it they wont even try. Stain on a shirt... they tried. And failed. Food on a quilt (which was clearly cotton and the individual that works with fabric all day asked if it was wool...) was above and beyond their means. It was suggested that I go to a Laundromat. Stay very far away from this place. read more

When picking up the boyfriend's shirts recently, I showed the cashier several broken buttons (caused by the pressing). She told me that while she could tell me who to call at the main location, she still had to charge me and that in the future I should pay extra to have his shirts dry cleaned instead. Excuse me??? Though it was only about 2:30pm, she could not get anyone of authority on the phone, and when I asked for the number so I could call the following day, she gave me the wrong one (reversed two numbers). Unacceptable. Do not take your clothes here unless you want a bunch of excuses! read more

I had to get a suit, dress shirts, ties and a tuxedo cleaned in time for a wedding. I called ahead to see if they could stay open a bit past closing time as I was running late. Lisa said she had an appt and wouldn't be able to stay open past closing time. I got there 5 minutes past closing time and the lights were off. Bummer! I tried the door, expecting it to be locked...but it wasn't locked....Lisa had stayed longer for me. How cool is that?! They got my order finished sooner than they said they would and it was very reasonably priced. I decided to have the tux pants and jacket altered. I just called, ( not expecting them to be finished as it is a week early!) and they are already finished! And the price was easily half what I expected...Talk about under promising and over delivering! I'll update once I pick up the tux, but right now I am a very pleased Customer! PS The boink who complained about paying $8 for cleaning a cashmere sweater is out of line. That price is very fair for a cashmere sweater!m I just picked up my tux jacket and pants - both needed alterations. $23 for both and they did a very professional job! Five stars! read more

We had a young woman who was a contestant in the Miss Wisconsin Pageant who had a very large, intricate dress with a lot of lace and beadwork that needed to be steamed- and we had only about a hour hour window of time before it had to be ready. Stannard stepped in and saved the day! They did a beautiful job so the dress was ready for competition earlier than we even asked! Can't thank them enough. read more

I have used the alterations department at Stannard Cleaners for years and they have always been reasonable and the workmanship is high quality. The dry cleaning is excellent and the best I have ever had and I have lived in five different cities. Everyone goes to this cleaners because it is wonderful! read more
