This was, quite easily, the best dental experience I've ever had in my life. From the very first to the last exchange, my expectations were exceeded. I initially reached a while before my appointment and talked to Ashlyn, who verifies insurance and likely way more. She forwarded all the new patient forms I'd need to reduce the wait time once I arrived. I had difficulty receiving my X-rays from my previous dental office and Ashlyn offered to step in to help. What was taking me weeks to do, she was able to do in an hour. On the day of my appointment, she assured me that my insurance had been verified again for good measure. She's awesome! I met, Cat (Catherine) my new hygienist and she was extremely warm and congenial. She did an amazing job building rapport before diving in for my cleaning. Before the actual cleaning started, she provided the option of watching Netflix or listening to Pandora. Where has this service been my whole life? Who wouldn't want a distraction while someone is scrapping your teeth? She made what normally feels like a chore, almost enjoyable...almost. Ha! The dentist came in once the cleaning was complete to perform the exam and I was all set. At the end, Cat scheduled my next appointment so there was no need to stop at the front desk on the way out. I am a new patient at Stansell and I was welcomed with open arms. The staff was helpful, friendly and extremely accommodating!!

Wow. I have never been so disrespected from a dentist office in my life. My wife and I just moved to the area and wanted to change dentists. We called to make an appointment with Stansell Dentistry and we had to wait 2 months to get on their schedule because they were over booked. We decided to go ahead and wait to get in their office because we heard how great they are. Once we made our appointment, we were asked to sign a form allowing them to obtain our records from our previous dentist. We signed and sent them over the same day-2 months ago. I called the day before my appointment to make sure they received the x-rays and they ensured me that they would have it by the time of my appointment. I went in for my appointment today and get called back there and they want to take x-rays. I informed them I just had them 6 months ago and didn't want to pay for them again. I informed them that they should have our x-rays because we gave them permission to get the records from our previous dentist. Then, due to their errors and not getting the x-rays done by the time of my appointment, I was given 2 options: 1-Pay for updated x-rays 2-Reschedule the appointment for another day No teeth cleaning. No option. Just another waiting period for my teeth to get cleaned. I rescheduled my appointment with them. I did some more research and found a better dentist, so I called and canceled my appointment with Stansell. When I called to cancel, I was hung up on. read more

I like stansell dentistry a lot! The doctor here is super great! I do not particularly like the hygienist here -- they can be rude, tend not to be gentle when cleaning, and even spray water all over your face during the cleaning. If I were to rate this facility on them, it would probably be a 2. However, the doctor is super amazing and does her job fantastically well. Location: convenient, parking is easy Interior: nicely decorated, coffee station Wait time: none really! which is fantastic Receptionist: love her. so sweet and always calls me and gets me my appointments squared away-- super accommodating Dentist: Love her too; gentle, sweet! Of all my interactions with healthcare providers I must say Stansell was the best. I worked with Karen (I hope I spelled her correctly :) ) on reception and Stephanie (Dental Hygienist) and they were amazing. This was my first appointment so I had to go through the new patient registration which was as simple as they could make it. I received reminder call the day before and a follow up call next day of my appointment. They have tightly integrated their service with technology and I love that :) All the staff was friendly and caring. They were quite through with their work and knowledgeable. Had my teeth cleaned by Cat, who was super friendly. She did a great job and did not cause me any pain (I tend to be a baby when it comes to dentists and cleaning). Dr. Stansell (in a follow up appointment) filled one of my fractures. The entire procedure was done in less than 30 minutes. I had a device that kept my mouth open the entire time, didn't feel a thing, and I watched Netflix with some pretty awesome headphones. She even fixed some of the previous fillings done by another dentist that was a bit high. Best dentist work I've received. read more

Went back for my filling and loved it. Well, as much as you can like a filling, I guess. I got an email ahead of time with a coupon that gave me $25 off my service (yes, please!), and their procedure during the filling was unique and really awesome. They used some sort of mouth contraption that kept my mouth open while the filling was being done so I didn't have to worry about anything aside from remembering to swallow every now and again. The only slight downside was that the dental assistant almost said I couldn't use it because my mouth was too small. Dr. Stansell told her to try it again and thankfully she did, because it made everything way easier on me, which I appreciate. Still didn't try the Netflix/Pandora thing. REALLY NICE PEOPLE FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN! Even though they have no one on staff who went to Duke, GO SEE THEM. If you are in North Raleigh especially, there is no place else you need to go. As a person with high dental anxiety, it is very VERY hard for me to get up and go to the dentist. Dr. Stansell and her staff made me feel completely at ease. They handled my anxiety very well (without additional medications), and they took great care to ensure my comfort during every step of the process. The wait time after checking in was very minimal, even when they were behind schedule. Following procedures, they gave excellent, clear post-visit instructions and even recommended changes to my daily habits that were not cost-prohibitive. They rock! Every single one of these girls. Dr. Stansell is the best. She is kind and gentle. I had several fillings done after my pregnancy and she rocked it. I was never in pain :) One filling was too high....which was my fault cause I couldn't bite on that paper well due to being so numb.... they got me right in and corrected it. I've always had a wonderful experience at Stansell Dentistry and have been a patient for about two years. I've had mostly routine cleanings and X-rays (yay!) and have had one small cavity filled here. The staff are always kind and the hygienists have done a wonderful job. You have the option to zone out by watching Netflix or listening to music with headphones while they clean your teeth. It helps me deal with some anxiety that I have going to the dentist. The dentist was super patient and explained everything. They even let my little girl pick a prize (even though she wasn't the patient). Overall experience was perfect. They called me while I was working, they charged for things not done at the appointment, let me have my teeth cleaned in Dec when they said I was over my $1500 yearly insurance allotment which of course I did not know or I would have waited one month. First time at this Dentist but I am a fan! The service is fast. I was in and out quick. I think I waited less than 6 mins. The staff was sooooo friendly! Especially the front desk. Please give them a raise. I can't remember the young women's name at the front desk but she was a delight. They have TVs in your room so you can watch while they work. My hygienist forgot to put the paper over my blouse. I had to remind her. -_- This isn't cool because I had on a nice blouse and if I didn't catch it my shirt would possibly be ruined. Besides, it can get messy during dental work. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They don't make you wait around They are an invisalign preferred office. PLUS they are open late! Like until 6:30 on Monday's. I mean, you have got to love that. I will go back!! read more

Worst experience..never get to see the doctor you selected ..Dr Dani is always on leave or giving some exams..they are not bothered to even tell that other doctor will be seeing you..and receptionist at north Raleigh office is very confused..she will not give clear information. She will not even allow you to take appointment at brier clinic.even there are so many slots available. And once you go for appointment ..they will try to finish more than one more procedure. And otherwise they never give appointments when you want.. Never go there.. read more
