UPDATE 5/1 ON BELOW REVIEW I just want to clarify that the employees I interacted with were all professionals and extremely polite. I appreciate manager Akia (sorry if I butchered your name) making the effort to correct a wrong that she was not responsible for. In most cases, this is the true meaning of customer service. I think she has a bright future ahead of her and hopefully it'll be with a company that is more organized and respectful of the customer's time and money. I don't fault my situation to the employees, they were all pleasant and understanding if not the victims of constant miscommunications from higher up the chain. I did finally receive the glasses and I love them to be honest. I would say they were worth waiting for but nothing can really justify how long this process took. I'm raising my review to three stars for the patient and kind employees and for the quality of their product. However, I am weary to ever do business with this company again because of my issues explained below. Wish I'd read the reviews before I gave them my business. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire adult life. Living in an area rampant with subpar customer service, that's saying a lot. In the store (first appointment): we were there for over two hours. I wasn't certain if this was a normal process to order one pair of glasses so I didn't think much of it. The manager who I paid with told me it'd be about two weeks for my order to come in. Delay 1: As I began to get excited to receive my glasses and relieve the headaches I get from staring at a computer screen all day, I discovered my order was delayed. This was after two weeks when I was anticipating their arrival per the manager at the store. I called their overseas call center (seems like you can't speak to someone at the actual store) and was assured that my order would be there by a certain date and I'd receive a text or email upon their arrival. Delay 2: After another couple of weeks, near the date the call center guy said the glasses would have arrived, I discovered that there was another delay. So I called the "hotline" again and told them to cancel my order. They apologized after putting me on hold and informed me that, since I'd used my card, I would have to physically go to the store and cancel in person. A couple days go by, and I finally have some time to inconvenience myself and go to the store and cancel. The man at the store checked my order and informed me that, if I wanted, I could get a partial refund but still receive the glasses. He said there'd been several thousands of orders along with me that were delayed. Reluctantly, I agreed to this arrangement. "They'll be here on or before April 11th," he said very confidently. Present day: April 11th came and went with no text or email from them that my glasses had arrived. I tried to check my order online but it's now saying my order is not found. Called the call center once more and they told me (after putting me on hold to call the actual store) that the lenses are at the store, but now they're looking for the frames and they'll call me back in ten minutes to let me know if the frames are in the store. An hour goes by. No surprise, no one called me back. Ok, I'll speak to their offshore representatives again. She puts me on hold to call the store. Comes back and tells me that "they're still looking for your frames and will call you as soon as they find them." Some time has gone by, no one has called me and I highly doubt anyone will. Only way to resolve this situation is to get to the store when I can and cancel my order and release the albatross. Like I said, I wish I'd read the reviews and gone to Walmart to get glasses. This has been so painfully unpleasant and aggravating to deal with such terrible, indifferent customer service. I'm beginning to think there are no glasses and this is simply a money laundering scheme or something, because this is absolute BS. After reading the reviews I feel a little better, and I want to add to their sentiments. Everything they are saying is accurate and I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. Gave 1 star, because I can't give a half. Horrible, just flat out horrible and unprofessional Had a 10:00am appointment. They open at 9:00. When we arrived there were 7 to 8 people waiting outside, as no one showed up for work. Waited for 30 minutes and left. Talked to one of the folks whom was waiting, she communicated this was the second time this has happened in a matter of months. Went to the Cedar Hill location. They were open, but not a whole lot better. Eye exam was done virtually.... Not by a doctor, but by a refresnest.... The doctor signs off on the work... Apparently they ran outta business from ripping people off. Now most optomitrist lie and say I need glasses, and have blurred eye tests to con you into buying glasses, but never in this fashion. They took eye exam scams to the next level. Anyone who thinks I need glasses needs a head examine and their license revoked. I see better than people with glasses and I never had glasses. read more

Customer service provided inaccurate information in order to get us an appointment but when I got there the young lady did not have any information as to what the customer service rep promised me he promised a free eye exam with Medicaid and a certain price and then I had to act ugly and call the man back for him to then tell me the truth! No free eye exam and pretty much provided MISLEADING INFORMATION to get customers! The service was for my son and he still have yet to receive his order after they promised his glasses would be ready same day! Paid and was told the glasses would be ready 01/09! This is the worse business ever. I have filed a BBB complaint as well. We took a form In to fill out over two weeks ago. We can never get anyone on the phone. Each time we go in there they tell us something different. We go in there today and Joshua Shipley walks over and says well the form still isn't done, I say well why not he begin to yell we a billion dollar business I said if you don't calm down what are you hollering and waving your hand for. You all did a virtual visit and we can't get paperwork back because of yall misinformation, then he says he refuse service I said it's because of the color of our skin. You hollering yelling yet it's weeks later and this dmv form still not done and you keep Changing the date and saying you don't know when it will be done. I will make sure this story reach the news. My appointment was at 10pm and I didn't get out of there until 3pm. Customer service was bad. The guy Josh seemed like he cared a lot. Got 2 pair one pair was supposed to be made the same day but worker continued to service other customers without telling me that my glasses couldn't be made because of a machine error. The rep went thru without asking me any questions and selected my lenses, of course the most expensive ones. Then when I questioned her, she got an attitude. Getting my lenses picked and fitted with Kim was a joy. She is a person of light and joy and her passion for people is clear in everything she did from her greeting when I walked in to her kind words of encouragement when I left from picking up my new glasses she was great. I watched her care for several people with compassion and empathy. She greeted returning customers as if they were old friends. I love that she broke down every cost for my lenses and I didn't feel pressured to upgrade anything. No sneaky charges added and I know I can go back anytime to have my frames adjusted. I know you can get glasses online these days for less, but you can't get customer care and genuine joy from a computer. Kim made me feel that every penny I've spent was worth it. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!This place is a complete ripoff! I came here with my insurance for a routine check up, and ended up getting charged almost $60 for a retinal scan that they did not tell me was not covered under my insurance. To my surprise they pulled the same thing on the lady across from me. Then one of the girls comes and starts to tell the lady helping me that she has to stop helping me to go help somebody else because she was taking to long. Zero customer service! I visited yesterday to check on my glasses lenses and encountered several issues. Initially, I was assisted by an African American woman who demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of customer service principles. Her loud and disrespectful behavior was completely unacceptable. Fortunately, Maria intervened and skillfully de-escalated the situation. She listened attentively and provided a solution that enabled us to leave with our glasses. Maria deserves a strong 5-star rating. It's crucial that other staff members learn from her exemplary approach in positivity. I enjoycoming here and the service is great! I have been coming here before it was Stanton and now I bring my son. Leslie the manager helped us out in EVERY way possible and the other staff were very detailed, professional and nice. I do have insurance so the companies prices don't qualify for me but I still leave out paying a reasonable amount and if the service stays the same they'll have customers for life! I am still waiting for the glasses I ordered in early June. It is now the second week of August. Representatives continue to tell me it will be two weeks. I purchased contacts and two pairs of eyeglasses. First, my prescription needed to be corrected. The second eye doctor did a good job. They notified me and said my order was ready. Only the contacts were available. They notified me again a couple of weeks later. One pair of eyeglasses was prepared. They notified me again for pickup, I went to the office and they told me they could not find them. I contacted Stanton to file an official complaint. The representative said she would contact me in 48 hours. I waited a week. I am on hold as I am typing this review. They still do not have any answers. SMH read more

I could not leave a review if I did nit choose at least one star. My husband took our soon to be adoptive son to get new prescription glasses, and upon arriving, he was told that my son's insurance was nit accepted, so my husband decided to pay out of pocket. The so called 88 dls deal turned into 150 dls (way to advertise service to unsuspected clients). In addition and in following with CPS regulations, we left a fotm that every service provided is supported to fill out, well apparently the one who called does not know what a coma "," is used for because she mentioned primary care physician and ignored "vision, dental" Now, our CPS worker has to call this place. She was great she explained everything to me and my son (who was a first time contact wearer) she guided him on how to insert his contacts properly and take them out . I just received an email from Stanton Optical Business Services. What a joke, they didn't even bother reading my review.... it some phantom AI crap doing the reviews. Maybe they need to invest in AI to make the glasses.... on second thought, maybe they need to fire all the idiots that think AI is the "next big thing".... all I can see is AI and the lack of leadership from the ground floor up to the top of the ladder at Stanton should be fired. The company structure "sucks" to put it mildly. I actually tired to get a job with the company, they told me I have too much experience and couldn't pay me the amount of money I was asking for. That right there just shows you they don't care about "Customer Service" at all. Even though I started out in the Optical field working for Lenscrafters back when they were doing the glasses in an hour or less, we NEVER let anything go out of the lab that wasn't correct or that didn't meet ANSI Standards. Now Stanton is doing glasses in 30 minutes or less.... that's CRAP !!!! Like I stated in my first review, if you have a very low "single vision" prescription, then that can be done, but if you are wearing bifocals or progressive lenses or if you want any sort of Anti Reflective coating (AR Coating), it's going to take longer than 30 minutes.... and I know for sure they can't make those lenses in house at the stores. Your best bet is to find an independent doctor that has an optical department to where you can choose a frame, and an optician sits down with you to find out exactly what sort of lenses and coatings you need for your glasses, and he/she actually takes measurements while you have the frame on. It should only take 7 to 10 business days to get your glasses back, but 98% of the time they will be back on time and the prescription will be right. It may cost a little more to go that route, but remember this one thing... it's my motto: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!! read more

The technology in this place is great. The on screen evaluation by the provider is easy to understand, and see. The questions are simple, the exam is quick and concise. Now this was my first visit to MyEyelab, so I was there for quite a while. Before, and after my exam. I tried on so many glasses, and I had a wide variety to choose from, and I dam near tried them all on before deciding on 2 pair. Their customer service was awesome! This has to be the worse place I've ever came across. There is absolutely no way any of the employees have ever had any training for the job what's so ever. We have never had one thing go right here from glasses continuingly breaking (including safety glasses) to getting the wrong prescription, to them ordering the same contacts as my right eye then labeling it as my left. This was my first visit. I usually go to UT Southwestern but due to the pandemic I was unable to get an appointment. My appointment was set for Saturday morning but due to over booking I was not seen until that afternoon. Once I made it inside the customer service was excellent. Everyone from the lady answering the phone to employee that fitted my glasses. The selection was nice and I joined the vision plan for the incentives. During the first visit I was told my insurance was out of network until the manager came and explained to the tech how to run the insurance for VSP (in network) to them getting the prescription in correct on my contact and getting my glasses correct. Run away!! Do not go here!!! The first time I went here things were simple enough, I did an eye exam picked out my frames and waited two weeks for them to come back. The glasses came back with the wrong prescription, so I had to have another eye exam, this time by video. The prescription was totally off and they said I had to come back to see the doctor and let him do the eye exam, but unfortunately he wasn't going to be there for 3 days. He did my third eye exam and after talking to two of the women there, I made sure to remind them to send both pair of glasses back with the new prescription. This Saturday will be another two weeks that I've waited for the glasses to come back, but I decided to stop in to make sure they sent the second pair off with the new prescription as well . To my amazement, the second pair never got sent back. They were still sitting in the drawer! These people are nice and all, but they get easily distracted and I ended up paying for it with my time!
