I then contacted VSP, who reached out to the clinic to confirm my coverage. Upon arriving at the clinic while still on the phone with VSP, I informed the staff of the situation. Unfortunately, the receptionist dismissed my information and insisted that the call center does not verify benefits, then called VSP herself. It turned out the clinic had entered the wrong date of birth. All that was needed was a simple phone call to verify the information, especially given the error displayed in the portal when they were trying to verify my benefits. When asked if I had completed my paperwork, I explained that I never received it. The receptionist then offered a QR code to complete it, but I was so frustrated that I decided to leave and seek care elsewhere. I never got a chance to meet the providers, who might have been great, but the staff's unprofessional and disinterested attitude left a poor impression. Clearly, customer service is not a priority at this clinic, and I would not recommend it to anyone. If I could give a minus 5-star review, I absolutely would, solely based on this incident. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service left a lasting negative impression. It's frustrating when a simple verification issue spirals into such a bad experience, especially when it could have been easily resolved with a phone call.
