Easily the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've gone here maybe seven times, out of all of those times I've always checked out in the same area, where they also do packages. Today there were two people there scanning Amazon packages with the complete capability to check me out after I've been standing in line for 15 minutes waiting to buy a single can of glitter. Both attendants treated me like a second class citizen when I asked a question they'd very well known the answer to " can I check out here?" The first short round girl tried to brush me off and immediately take the next customer so I directed my attention to a person who I know was the manager, a fair skinned guy who is always there. The funny thing is I've bought things at this very register from this very same guy numerous times which is why I asked him eye to eye "can I check out here". His response was to make me get back in line somewhere else in the store to wait 20 more minutes instead of just signing into the register and checking me out in the name of customer service. I put the glitter down and left the store, I will go to Michaels or Target. I gave this place a lot of grace by even coming here, it's funny. I was joking with my wife about how bad it was before coming. Sidenote, I also printed some things while I was here, and three out of the four printers were out of service, I fixed two of them myself. You're welcome. The print department goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. I brought in a paperback book to be spiral bound which they didn't do right. They ended up buying the book and redoing it for me at no cost. read more

The customer service here is a joke! No one wants to works and they're just behind the counter chit chatting and joking around with each other and have people that don't even work there hanging out with them in the back. This location is in the Gateway Shopping Center. It's one the front side of the center and more towards the middle. Parking if course is shared but plenty of it. The store itself is huge. They carry everything Staples normally has including tons of office furniture. The staff here is friendly and helpful too. read more

I went here today to mail off a package via ups. I was assisted by the manager who didn't weigh or measure my package. His name tag says Islam. I come to this staples often to mail off packages and never had this issue. He was very unprofessional and not helpful at all. He has very poor with customer service. I went to staples because I needed to make a work book for my daughter, I needed color print outs that were laminated and hole punched. When I picked up my items they were not hole punched. I ended up hole punching 53 pages manually...fun. Other than that mishap the customer service was pretty good. When I first got to the store there was a nasty argument that took place over where the line was supposed to be and no manager came out to defuse the situation. Instead, I saw "security" roaming around doing nothing. One of the print center guys jumped in to help but the argument went on for far to long which was disappointing. read more

Omg came here to drop off a package for UPS there is no one at the UPS counter. I wait for awhile for an employee nobody shows I go ask another employee about assistance with this he's like well you can just leave it there it will go out. Another customer was waiting also she also did not feel comfortable leaving her package rather then wait she left the store. There are numerous employees standing around doing absolutely nothing except talking with each other. I'm not sure whose in charge but looks like sone new management is needed. They may need a lesson in more work less talking to your coworkers. read more

First let me tell you, this location is very unprofessional and I will never spend a dime in this store again! I brought my computer to Staples in Gateway Shopping Center to transfer all of my data onto a USB , then to donate it via Staples after the process was complete. The tech service department told me this may take a couples days. I said fine. Staples called me a couple days later to tell me they donated my computer but they mixed up my computer with another customers information. I then replied ok, so what happened? Islam the store manager goes on to say they did not save my data to the USB (which I purchased when I dropped on my computer). I said ok, so how can I retrieve my data from my computer. He said we can't retrieve anything because my computer has been donated already. At this point, I am both angry and heartbroken....because basically all of my data and pictures of my 3 children were on that hard drive (not saved anywhere else). Long story short I lost all childhood pictures of my children and personal/professional data. But it gets worse, Islam (store manager) promises to give me a full refund over the phone. I go into the store the next day and Islam says he never stated that he would give me a full refund. We go back and forth in the store, this man says he cannot give me a refund for ther service..they can only give me back my empty USB. This Gateway Center -Staples location is HORRIBLE!!!! ISLAM the store manager is by far the worst store manager I have ever came in contact with, he is very unprofessional showed little care or empathy to me as a customer. I lost all of my data, hundreds of pictures of all 3 of my children and all of my money I paid for a service I did not recieve. I wish I could give this place Zero Stars, unbelievable!!!! read more

I made an attempt to purchase a computer tower to complete my home office setup. To cover the costs for startup I used a business check which was declined without explanation at Best Buy/ Gateway Mall. No effort was made by the store manager to resolve the issue other than me calling my back and him using a different register. Fortunately, Staples was next door. SUPER busy the day I went which was the day before the school year, but Raven & Angie who were working at the copy, printing & shipping center kept the line moving! They multitasked multiple customers with different requests and did it while being professional and patient. Exceptional customer service always deserves to be recognized, hence my review. We went to Staples a few weeks ago with a mission to actually purchase a Stapler. What we found though, was a cheerful crowd of helpful employees that appreciated our sense of humor regarding our simple shopping list. We chose the best stapler on the shelf and picked up some other fun stuff (an underwater dog calendar and some snacks) .. Jesus, the manager, made our trip extra special by kidding around with my 7 year old kiddo. This is by far my very favorite Staples.. We stop by before grabbing our Trader Joes supplies just to say hi and look around at all the cool stuff they sell. Happy Stapling!! read more

Disgusting. During the Corona crisis, not one worker cleaning the printer/copy machines, computers or supplies being used by the customers. Not one bottle of hand sanitizer for use entering or exiting the store. Nothing near the machines so the customers can clean the surface themselves. Went in there today, got online to get my carriage of ink. I didnt even realize I was next. The girl at the cashier didnt say hello next not a word I ask for my ink. She came back with it still no words. I ask if they have a chip for the credit card she says yup not looking up. She acted like she did not want to work. I made a purchase here last week for some IPhone Earbuds. Not only did it take them forever to assist me, but not one employee offered to assist me waiting an hour for them to get the iPhone Earbuds out of the display case. And not even a week after that purchase I saw two unauthorized purchases for Showtime Subscription and Amazon Prime membership on my bank statement on my Debit card ever since using my card here. And I rarely use my card so I know it was someone at this store using a skimming device. Check your statements if you used a debit or credit card here. Put in a printing order, website said it would be ready within 24 hours. Was ready within TWO hours. I even got a personal email stating my order was ready for pickup. I hadn't splurged for the extra cost of slicing the edges, figuring I could always cut the pages myself with scissors. Time got away from me & I forgot to pick up my order.. they sent a friendly reminder which was very helpful! Most amazing, when I arrived to pick up my order I discovered they had sliced the pages perfectly as a courtesy. Staff was super friendly and super sweet! read more

Staples, That was easy! LIARS!!!!!!!!! This was one of the slowest, annoying, time consuming visits I've ever had, EVER! I just wanted to send a fax, that's it (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAN JUST LET ME SEND A BLOODY FAX!) There was no line in the Copy & Print center just a few people waiting around for their orders. I was next online and literally wait 20 mins for a sales associate to acknowledge my presence (You just lost one star). When someone did notice I was standing their she proceeded to tell me that they were really busy and someone will help me shortly. "BUT I JUST WANT TO..." Yup, she walked away while I was in mid sentence. Another girl finally assisted me and then I had to wait an additional 15 mins for my fax to go through (welp, there goes the rest of my lunch break). I really can't blame them for their machines being slow. Wait a minute, yes I can! Apparently 4 other people were waiting for faxes to go through. The sales associate flooded the machine and that's why it was moving soo slow (You just lost another star right there). And the last star you lost was because a visit to Staples to send a one page fax should not take an entire 40 mins. Ridiculous! read more

There is no customer service in printers department. I waited for half an hour and no one with any knowledge of printers came to help me. I asked for help and was just left to wait. I noticed the thick layer of dust on the machines and guess no one ever goes to that section. I spoke to the manager and he did not have any reaction react as I guess he is use to the complaints. Tried calling this particular staples and was on hold for over 20 minutes. When someone finally picked up, she answered with a rude "yeah". I was so disgusted that I asked for a manager. She placed me on hold without telling me to hold. I then waited another 10 minutes just to be told that my call was sent to the printing department and not the manager. I had need of photocopying tax papers at the Gateway Drive Staples on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, around 7:30 PM. I had this done before, with no problem, at this center, for my failed attempt to get NYC Build It Back services, which I mention here but is not connected to the following incident. This time, the Copy and Print Center service representative behind the counter flat out refused, and simply directed me to the Self Serve copy section. I have no experience with this machine, which didn't originally accept my customer loyalty card, or using it for doing dual sided copies.The machine also chewed up some of my originals, as did the second machine I moved to after the first machine jammed. While this center is the closest to my home, I now so do NOT recommend this location at all, and am now willing to go elsewhere for both this service, and office supplies I may need. read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Wish I read the reviews before I came here. Tried to get $250 worth of Macy's gift cards. The cashier didn't realize that the cards didn't activate until after she charged my card! Then she told me you can't return gift cards so the manager came over to help and disappeared with my receipt for 20 minutes. Finally came back to tell me I can't return the useless pieces of plastic and can only exchange them for other gift cards!
