I really like this location. I have always had a good customer service experience coming here. They are always willing to help find me what I need so that I don't have to wander aimlessly around the store. I have used their printing services here as well. I love that I can place my order online and pick up when ready. More than not, my printed items will be available before scheduled pick-up time. There was an incident once where I was supposed to get my items in color but they were printed in black and white. The guy apologized and fixed my error quickly and let me keep the black and white ones at no additional charge. So he did definitely go above and beyond to fix the error. They have quick turn around times for their printing services - which definitely helps if you are trying to do something last minute. I did try to find some brother toner here once that they didn't have so I had to go elsewhere but other than that - this is normally my go to spot if I need anything office related. read more

All she said was, "you have to submit it online..." All I had was a hard copy. If I had the means to do it at home I wouldn't be here at Staples. I went to staples for the TSA Precheck appointment. It was a very slow process. It should have taken literally 15-20 min. It took a little over an hour and I had an appointment. Staples please hire more help. It's a great store with good customer service but your staff needs help. It's summer and the TSA pre heck appts are only going to increase. read more

Came to this location for a TSA pre-check appointment. Note I said "Appointment". Arrived to find out the computers were down with no estimate of when they would be back up. No notice given to anyone who had appointments. The explanation was they had no way to contact anyone. 5 hours of round trip driving wasted. Other locations were too swamped to handle the redirects. DO NOT COME HERE!! My grandpa was discriminated against because of the color of his skin! I apologize if he's older and doesn't know how to use technology to find products but this location has rude, racist, and ignorant employees as well as leadership. Employee Quinn was in charge of helping him and she outright refused to help him and began a side conversation out loud with another employee talking about my grandfather! If that wasn't the worst part he went about looking for products himself without any help from staff but when he looped around here goes employee Quinn smiling and being nice to white customers. Absolutely horrible customer service at the Staples store #1794, Huntersville NC. I arrived 15 minutes before the store closed and asked to have a 3 page architectural drawing printed for an emergency meeting in the morning. The employee at the copy center said he was clocking out in a few minutes and refused to make the copies. I reminded him that I still had 15 minutes. Again he refused. I spoke with so called manager named Mike who said that he could not help as they close soon. I told him that I came in 15 minutes prior to closing and his response was, I guess you should have come in sooner. I asked for the store managers name and he refused. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years, but have noticed the decline in customer service. We will never use Staples again. read more

The entire store needs to be vetted after what's been spread and witnessed about Quinn and Sean's behaviour. Other employees who giggle with Quinn during racist furled altercations need to be looked at as well, for not checking their own colleague for improper behaviour and bringing it up higher that Sean supports her negative behaviour. Just had a pretty horrible experience with TSA precheck at this store. As a child of military parents, I was born on a military base in Germany, and because of that my birth certificate states US Citizen born abroad. Well, the older white woman with blond hair and glasses was very confused by my birth certificate, so proceeded to ask loudly multiple times to coworkers " I've never seen anything like this, Do we accept this?" I was completely dumbfounded when I heard that. She walks away to double-check, when she returns she proceeds to tell me my Birth Certificate is not acceptable because it does not have my parent's name on it. I have never heard such a thing, and the certificate is sealed and signed by the US state department. But I guess she was in a hurry to get rid of me since there was an elderly white woman behind me in line that was impatient. I have never experienced anything like this, and as a person who owns a passport and SSN card all of a sudden my birth certificate is not sufficient for TSA precheck?!? . . . this is laughable and as a black woman I was offended. Staples hire someone who knows what they're doing. I didn't catch the woman's name but looking at the other reviews I'm assuming its Quinn. read more

The worst experience received for TSA pre check. I had an appointment came to my appointment and no one was there. They told me to come back during business hours and I can walk in. I walked in today and the lady at the desk stated she is only taking walk-in's from 9am-12:00. Interesting, she took 2 ladies before me as a walk-in. However, you stated you only take walk in from 9-12. Please held everyone to this standard if this is the policy and if no one was at the desk to take my appointment I should be able to reschedule my appointment the next day. This is ridiculous and this should not be a service at staples if you can't accommodate and have the same policy for all customers. Don't come here for TSA precheck if you have an appointment or not. Zero stars general manager Sean Smith and his associate Kim Sanders, not Quinn as others have posted, repeated their cycle of refusing to do their jobs and provide the tsa precheck service as posted on the website tsa.gov as well as their own staples.com website. Both websites very clearly state walking are welcome at various times throughout the day including from 3:30 pm to 5 pm. Shortly before 5 Kim has decided she will make her own hours and in her own words "now I'm not doing your application at all". Sean stated "we're consistent" in refusing service and refusing to abide by the hours of service that are posted on theirs and the tsa website. I implore you all to email their general manager lindsey.Gatling@staples.com to express just how often this duo is refusing service. Please please email their district manager to let them know what terrible customer service is going on at this location. I needed a specialty job printing signage. The young lady said she understood what I was asking. Paid for the express service. Job was delayed 2 hours. Went to pick up the signage. I asked for card stock signage...it was printed on regular paper. I was also charged for the express service which should have been deducted off my bill....it was not and I was told I still had to pay it! This will be the last time I step into any Staples store. Today I was serviced by Eric and he went above and beyond to assist me with flyers I needed for my business. Very professional and very knowledgeable. I like Staples. The stores are not crowded during the week which allows me to get in, get what I need, and get out. That was the case again today. I needed a new wireless mouse. A staff member directed me to the location (right in front of the store), I picked out a mouse, paid, and was on my way. That's how I like it. There is an obvious reason why online shopping is closing retail storefronts. I needed to pick up gold staples. Yes, I needed them to be "gold". I looked online and observed that this location had multiple packs of them. I went instore to purchase them. I did not see them on the sales floor. I asked a sales associate and she informed me that they were not on the floor but were in the back storeroom in one of multiple totes. She stated she would have to look through them to find them. They was her complete answer as well as her reason as to why she would not go locate them. She didn't want to look through the totes. I then asked her if I ordered them online for instore pick up, who would be the person looking for them. She replied that she would be that person. She then gave me the NASTIEST look and reluctantly walked to the back. I, initially, felt bad but then I realized I should not feel bad. She is simply doing her job. Why should I feel bad about very politely asking her to do her job. It was around 9 am and the store was rather slow. Had I just ordered my item online and had it shipped to my house, I would not have had to deal with this awkward encounter.
