Someone also wanting to return an ink cartridge so she had to run do that. then something in the computer ink department was alarming. She had to run and get that. Staff was friendly, but of no help when I tried to return items to Amazon. This happened before. Both times, I have left the store with the Amaxon items NOT RETURNED and having paid a fee for unusable printouts. I guess this old lady needs help with the computer process!!! No help is offered, even when my inability to use their system was obvious. My loss, not theirs, so WHO CARES? (Besides me.) read more

i went to this store this afternoon and they sucked in customer service big time. what happened to hey how are u? i'll be right with you!? what happened to that????? i stood there for 5 mins with not even a hi ugh so then a lady was talk to another lady and i said where do i go for amazon drop off then the smart A!) guy behind the counter ( employee) said oh over there i said oh well maybe they should have more than one sign for amazon cause your small sign stand out more than that one which points this way he said yea we changed it ugh he said it's over there ok where is over there? he said over there. omg im ready to explode here. so i said ok fine guess ill find it myself so i get in line the second cashier said oh it's the first line when u get here i was like omg you guys have to figure this out maybe two people in line do t accept amazon pkgs here. get ur stuff together work as a team talk communicate can u do that? read more

This review is offered in the highest recognition for the excellent customer service provided by "Jason" in the Print & Marketing Services Center at Staples, on National Ave in Centralia, WA. Twice this week, Jason has been able to advise me correctly on the custom picture posters I needed. His expertise and manner influenced my decisions, and I was particularly impressed by his focus to detail and his efficiency. More importantly, the results were so beautiful and perfect that they brought tears of delight to my eyes! The work was completed quickly, considering how busy, yet considerate he was with all the other holiday customers. I smile in telling you that he is obviously very dedicated to his work and even took a moment to joke with him about an Uber pizza (I had seen delivered earlier for his lunch) which was still untouched when I picked up my order late that afternoon. Went in yesterday to do an Amazon return. Employee at checkout greets me and I look to where the return desk used to be. She's still staring at me and asks what I'm there for. I say to return an Amazon package and she points at a little sign that says checkout does it now and says "there's a sign right there." Doesn't help that every time I go in there, the Amazon return counter moves. 1/10 customer service. I'm fine with direct, but rude is uncalled for. read more

There just really aren't any words to convey the utter disappointment I feel toward this Staples location. We used to do a lot of business here and have taken elsewhere slowly over the past couple of years. From weekly grabbing business items for our company to having things printed for our kids for school projects, this was always the place we would go because of their customer service and consistent pricing. That has all gone by the wayside. We ordered school posters for one of our sons for an ASB election just a few months ago and paid $55 for four posters. Simple, easy, and back to the way things used to be... or so I thought. Today we called to place an identical order for our other son and spoke with a female who told us that she was the supervisor of the print shop. After providing the same order details we did last time we were told that the same type of posters would cost us almost $300. I was obviously taken aback and questioned them to ensure that we were talking about the same product. I even still have my receipt from when we last bought posters showing the proof that each one was about $16 or so. I asked to speak to a manager because that supervisor I just mentioned was very rude and seemed like she was getting ready to go on a break and my call was the interruption that stoped it because she was very adamant about trying to get me off the phone quickly. If I hadn't of asked the questions I did she would've tried to charge us $300 when I picked up the posters and that would've been when I found out about the pricing error. No bueno. I did finally speak to someone else after asking for a manager after I was transferred to a gentleman who told me that his name was Winston and he was the general manager. He said that they don't consistently price posters. He said some print workers will give discounts and some do not. I expressed I wasn't asking for a discount, just the regular price we JUST paid. I told him I had the receipt and he said he didn't care (not kidding) and that it didn't matter anyway because this was his store and the decision was his. I asked him to repeat that and he did. He was very serious. I asked if I could have the name of the district manager and their contact information. He refused to answer that and would not escalate the situation any further. Hence the reason for this long review. I hope the district manager sees this and the other reviews that the store has gotten over the past year and a half or so showing the customer service decline at this location. Regardless, I will be doing everything I can to find this district manager or the regional manager or whomever I need to speak to to escalate this and get it rectified because it is absolutely wrong. read more

Avoid at all costs. I had a printer that kept jamming up, so I went online and looked at Staples ad. They had 2 HP laser printers on sale, and also offered a trade in on each unit. I went in to ask about the trade in. When the clerk was showing me the units, he said, " I think we are out of this one." The ad started Sunday and this was Tuesday! So I asked to see the other one, and he informed me that they no longer carry it. He tried to sell me their replacement, which was not on sale, nor had a trade in attached, and sold for $180 more! This is in your ad that came out two days ago, and the store has stopped selling it! He then went in the back to see of they had either model. After some time he returns and informs me they have neither in stock. I asked him, " How can you have an ad came out two days ago and you have no merchandise?" He shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't make the ads." Great store! You don't have the items for your ad, but you have other items that are 40% more that I can buy. I used to shop there quite often, now I will just buy it online, or drive to Olympia and shop at a competitor. read more

Went in to make copies. First 4 copies had marks on them. Asked one of the worker's about it. She came over and noticed that the copy machine's glass was drity. Then telks me the employees are supposed to clean them. Then instead of using a cleaning product. Used her sleeve of her shirt. Doesn't apologize about the issue. As most employees should in that situation. Poor example of customer service. Left there went to Carroll's Printing, Inc. 1976 S. Market Blvd. Chehalis, WA 98532 360.345.1399. Owner Linda helped me not only get the prints I need but even help fix issues on a paper and didn't charge me. I did pay her for her time. read more

My parents own a tow company they came in today to have business cards made. They have had them made there before with no issues. This time they changed the picture and went through the details with the clerk. However what they got was not what they had agreed to have made. The photo and the font were much smaller than they agreed on and had previously. When my mom went back in to have the cards re-done they were told no...that they agreed to the computer mock up..well I call b.s. My mother left there feeling bullied and scammed. Is that how you operate? I will let people know and believe me I have the ability to make good on my word. read more

Horrible customer service, every time. Do not go here. I only ever go here in emergencies, if you just need things printed in black and white try the Library (Centralia or Chehalis) its free with a library card and 10 cents a copy without. Or try the print shop in the fairway center for more complicated things. They are very helpful there. If you need office supplies just go to wal mart seriously. The office supplies at staples are overpriced anyways. 1st time - Need about 15 playing card size pieces of card stock laminated. I assume it will take 20 mins max. Employee says, no, we can't do that. I ask her how long it will take. She says a MINIMUM of one day and I will have to come in tomorrow to pick it up. ONE DAY. To laminate a few pieces of paper. So i tell her I need this now, she says "we're really busy" (literally no one else there) I ask her what if I do it? In about 5 minutes I arrange it all between the sheets of plastic, hand it to her, it takes her a couple minutes to put it through the machine, then I cut it out in another 5 minutes. The entire time she is standing there doing nothing but watching me. Ridiculous. 2nd time - I come in about an hour before they close trying to get something printed. The only employee in sight, at the cash register, greets me. I tell him i need something printed. He tells me to wait at the print center for an employee because he can't leave the register unattended. I go to the print center area and wait for literally 20 minutes. There is another man there waiting as well. Finally an employee comes out, and says that he was on his lunch the whole time and that no one called him to come up. It takes another 15-20 minutes for the employee to help the other customer, who can't speak english very well and is trying to show the employee something on the computer. The employee gets very rude and defensive and tells the man that he can't use the computer, point out anything on the computer, or go behind the counter to show him something. finally it's my turn. Had to wait at least 35 mins for bad service. 3rd time - Went in with a jump drive to get a few documents printed, and one picture. The employee says that there is 2 jpgs and no documents. I tell him there should be a few 4 documents, can you please print them all. He insists that there isn't. I tell him just print everything then. He prints 2 documents out of 4 that i needed, (despite telling me there were no documents on the drive) and then tells me he can't print the picture because of "copyright issues" and he can't print anything that may be a logo or copyrighted, which makes NO SENSE. It was literally a pattern I was using for a sewing project I was working on. I went home and checked the jump drive and all the documents WERE there, and they were uncorrupted and in the same format as the things he did print. Bad service and didn't even get what I wanted. Everytime I have had different employees, most of there employees are very rude, do not smile or act nice, and all look like they hate their lives. read more

I went to the store 2 weeks ago and Staples was out of the ink I needed. The employee said he could order it at the store. I did that and paid for it. He said it would be at my house in 2 days. Staples keeps emailing with different excuses of why it has not been delivered yet. I called the store and all they did was want to give me a number to call and cancel the order! No apologies at all. I got my phone screen replaced here. The first guy to help me wasn't all the friendly or nice and seemed irritated by me. After my screen was replaced I left only to have the screen freaking out and going black. At this point I was very annoying and pissed. So I went back feeling pissed and the next guy to help me was very nice. He also had no problem fixing my phone and making sure it was okay before I left. So this time leaving I was very happy and impressed with mike and his service. Thank you so much for fixing my phone! read more

Horrible customer service. I was having problems printing from my google drive, the printer just kept "calculating cost" for about 20 minutes. Not a single person even looked our way until it was time to close. Thanks for the help. read more
