I'm writing in response to the two star review of Zeppelin below. I personally know the owner and…read moreknow of the web-site in question, as I am part of the club in question and set this up 22 years ago. Zeppelin was responsible ONLY for domain hosting (for which he took personal responsibility to protect on behalf of the club so as to not have unauthorized people transfer the domain) and server space. They do not offer services of web-site support. The statement "we had an issue with our website not being operational and it took them over one week to resolve which was unacceptable" is, and where it is in the paragraph, is misleading to the point that it appears that they did not help said person below. Zeppelin went above and beyond helping with the web-site issues he called about and had no responsibility to help. Zeppelin went out of their way to help with web-site issues. After a week of support (during the holidays), Zeppelin had to cutoff the support for which it was taken personally by said person below Zeppelin was not helping him anymore. Said person below took the low road and, during the November holiday week, represented himself as an active board member (for which he wasn't) and demanded the domain be transferred immediately. Zeppelin would not release the domain as they had an agreement (which unfortunately was not in writing) to protect the web-site on behalf of the club board. When he did not receive immediate action he became rude and reported Zeppelin to the Washington State Attorney General's office. So the week in question never would have been an issue if said reviewer below would have understood how much Zeppelin went out on a limb to help. Where the confusion resides is Zeppelin, not understanding what was happening and being reluctant to release the domain without proper board authorization. Communication may not of been the greatest as it happened so quickly and there was not a process in place. Here are some questions related to said person below review answered: Was the web-site unavailable to web browsers due to negligence or anything directly related to Zeppelin? ANSWER: No, it was always available. Was the problem with the web-site being broken anything to do with Zeppelin's negligence? ANSWER: No, it was not Zeppelin's responsibility to to assist in maintaining the web-site and it's functionality. Was it critical that the domain be transferred immediately during a holiday week? ANSWER: No, the person below feeling he was wronged decided to make it about the domain transfer immediately which aggravated the situation. Does said person have sole authority to request said transfer (not being an active member of the board)? ANSWER: No, which could have been done civilly if the whole situation had been handled appropriately. Zeppelin is a GREAT small business and I would HIGHLY recommend them!! If you host your domain through Zeppelin as the member of a business or club, rest assured Zeppelin will protect your domain from unauthorized access. I stopped in a few days later and he wouldn't even look me in the eye and said it wasn't done but perhaps he would work on it Sat. and give me a call. I said I would appreciate that and that is when he came unhinged. I ended up leaving and headed straight to the police dept where I found out he had also done the same thing earlier to another person. I do NOT recommend this business to anyone. I needed an escort to retrieve my computer and it's still not fixed.

I told them that I wanted a computer with Windows 7, Home Premium installed, for our home personal use. I was told that the cost would be about $850.00, so I placed the order. It worked fine for the first 8 months and then it crashed. I went into GS Computers to tell them about my problem and I was told to bring in the computer, with the original purchase receipt and they would look at it. I turned the house upside down looking for this receipt, but was not able to find it, so I took the computer into a shop in Olympia. They did a diagnostic on it and told me that it had a bad hard drive that needed to be replaced. At this same time they told me that there were other used parts in my new computer and that it had been built for gaming and this is not what I had ordered. This repair cost me $200.00. 8 months go by and the computer crashes again. Off to the repair shop in Olympia. This time they find that the mother board is bad and needs to be replaced. This repair cost $200.00. Another 8 months go by and this computer crashes again. Now the Windows 7 operating system needs to be re-installed. $180.00. This time I get only half the usual time with 4 months passing before it crashes again. I take it in for a diagnostic in Olympia at one of the larger computer stores and they tell me that the hard drive is bad and I finally say enough is enough. I am not going to throw away more money on this piece of junk that GS Computers dumped off one me I thought that I was getting a top quality computer from a trusted business here in Shelton, but as I have discovered first hand, this was not true. If you need to buy a new computer, save yourself a lot of grief and go into one of the larger computer stores in Olympia were they stand behind their products. If this business is a example of how customers are treated here in Shelton and this is the best we can expect, we are all in big trouble. Shame on GS Computers.

Mike migrated two PCs for us, in our home, one of which was Windows 7 to Windows 11. I wasn't shy…read moreabout my total skepticism of his process, and Mike was reassuring within reason. He did both machines in less than a day and the transfer of programs was altogether seamless. I still am amazed at how smoothly it all went, and how my entire system copied over to the new machine with all the same context menus, file paths, and personal configurations like customized toolbars and procedures. This would have taken an eternity to do all from scratch by myself. The old components included a hard drive that failed, and Mike was able to recover and transfer the data to a new modern SSD. During another visit, Mike set up a new wireless mesh network for not just our house but our whole property. It was a massive improvement in network performance. We can even connect from our boat! Again, Mike saved us a ton of time and a lot of headaches. He did the setup and tweaking in one hour. He does not dally or pad his visits, and makes himself available for questions and followup, without ever acting impatient or put upon. His scheduler Bev is also very easy to reach and even returns calls and email messages after hours. I could have wound up with any computer tech but was completely lucky to get Mike Cole on the first try. I highly recommend Cole Computer Services and wouldn't think of hiring another company. (Mike, you are not allowed to move away!)
