Called another day and was told I was good to come in, and when I showed up 5 minutes later, they said they couldn't fit me in until tomorrow. Well, it is an office supply store. So what you want is a decent inventory and helpful staff. It was fine on both counts and we would use it again if we weren't driving past other similar businesses. They do TSA processing which is not done at other stores. The print shop department at the Reading Road Staples is fantastic! They go above and beyond friendly customer service. No matter if it's a small or large job, they get it done on time or before. If there's a mistake, they remedy it immediately at no charge. I live less than a 1/2 mile from this store and it's the BEST! read more

The TSA precheck counter is a joke. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment time and walked out an hour after our appointment time. My daughter who is 17 stopped in the week prior when she was downtown for an appointment and they told her they don't take walk ins. But the day that we were there they took 2 walk ins ahead of her. The guy would scan the waiting room in between every customer and add people's name to his book. It was the biggest time drain. The appointment itself is about 5 minutes if you have the right documentation, but it is very poorly run. read more

Sometimes it seems like a big task to find somewhere to do those last-minute prints. You'll have to find parking at the FedEx downtown and this Staples provides a great location to get such things done. The location is perfect, there's a parking lot, and that's usually all I ask for out of a Staples. The only problem is that it just seems like something is always going wrong at this store. Nearly every time I get something printed here, something has gone wrong with a printer or there's some reason why you can expect a wait a the printing station. The staff looks stressed and a small line usually builds up. Despite the chaos, the staff here is very friendly and works hard to make things right (Which is super important!). 'That was easy' most definitely applies to this Staples location. Plenty of close parking, really helpful and friendly staff, and conveniently accessible off 71. During the day I've always walked in to see a greeter stationed at the entrance, ready to direct me if I need it or just offering a nice hello if not. At the copy/fax station there's also always a staff member ready to assist as well. The self-serve copy machines are very easy to use, and once I was shown how to use the fax machine (I can never figure them out in my own - those things make me wanna go all Office Space on them), I've been able to send those pretty quickly as well. I've never had to wait long at all to check out either. They have a free rewards program that I'll probably never really take advantage of, but I signed up for it anyway just because the employees are so great and I wanted to show my appreciation. read more

So I go to the desk where a gentleman and I wait forever to even speak with someone or even acknowledge our presence. I don't think anyone grows up wishing to have a big box store near their house. However, if you have to retail close then Staples is the one to have close by. Sporting the traditional red & white exterior, this staples is similar to most. The staff inside make all the difference. They go out of their way to help you locate items and make trips efficient. There have been numerous times when I have run out of printer ink and been able to quickly pop down the street to pick up a replacement in less than 15 minutes. This place is the most accessible store and it's so funny that it is right down town by my house. When I need something I would normally go to Target, Michael's for I actually just pop in here real quick just to see if they have it and they almost always do. There is plenty of parking in the lot, again weird for downtown, and it is also right next to the highway so you can get in and out very quickly. The store is neat, clean and tidy. The staff here is usually very helpful. Sometimes you have to track someone down, but most of them know what they are talking about. The only problem I have is that some of staples pricing is higher, but for a quick and easy trip I'll pay the extra $$. I don't know what I would do without this place! read more

I don't go to Staples too often, but whenever I have any type of office need I go to this location. They have a copy/print/fax station and the people who work there are great. My printer broke and they printed all my paperwork off for free. Whenever I need to send a fax, I use them as well, since I don't have a machine of my own. I have always received the friendliest service here and they always make sure to help you with any questions you have about using the equipment and make sure all your faxes go through. They are thorough and have always gotten my job done right. From the location you may not expect it, but this is one of the most friendly staffed stores I've been to in this area of any kind. You don't expect to have such a pleasant experience at an office supply store, but I always leave with a smile. read more

I rarely complain, I've worked in retail ten years so I can empathize with A LOT, but oh my gosh this place was so not kind or communicative. I walked up to the printing area which I've never used and the woman asked me what I needed and I told her I needed to print and she then went on with her business and walked away. So awkwardly I tried to do it myself and the machine froze and threw employees just chatted as I tried to figure it out. Having a staples within walking distance is very useful. While I try to support the more local options such as Plaza or Smartfish, sometimes these places are closed on a Sunday night. The biggest complaint I have about this store is that it is ugly and walking there is a little difficult. The intersection it's at is where 471 and Liberty meet Reading Road, so it can be busy and the crosswalks suck. Also, the side of the building is very boring (and that's all you see unless you are in the parking lot to the side). The staff was very helpful and directed me to what I was looking for. The girl that helped me was so kind and helpful. Usually I feel like I'm going into a time machine when I walk into these stores and everyone is moving in slow motion. Not here. The girl got my order printed quickly. I had a couple concerns and she created multiple prints for me to compare. She then cut them all and helped me find everything else I needed. I was out of there and a happy customer in 5 min. She also took initiative and helped multiple other customers as they walked in the door. Last time I came here it was difficult just to get the attention of the man at the printing counter. Last week I had the greatest experience at this Reading Road Staples in Cincinnati and working with Luis Wright (Louie) from the print center. Not only did he spend 20+ minutes on the phone with me while I explained what I was looking for my business cards, but he then was able to quote me an estimate over the phone. Two days prior I had tried to do this at a small print shop close to my house and they took days to do what he accomplished in minutes. Not only was this shop want double the price but I was leaving the next day so timing was crucial. Next, he was able to take a few documents via email and start the mock up for my business cards. I made it to the store right at closing (Yes, I was that girl) and not only did they stay late to print them but Louie then explained that he would be able to print other items like t-shirts, hats etc. In my business we call this an up-sell and Louis has it down to an art! Normally I like to give the "smaller guys" my own personal business, but after this experience I will be visiting Staples for all my personal and profession office needs. In conclusion I have had people compliment my business cards, one person even said "That's the cutest business cards I have ever seen!" while I designed them myself, I wouldn't have any if this store hadn't gone above and beyond. read more
