8/1/2025 bought a Brothers printer (for $149) and had help from salesperson. He never told me it didn't come with ink. I hadn't used it for 35 days so they wouldn't back it up (9/6/2025) the store Manager said I had to call Brothers and gave me a number to call. WELL, it was the number of a scammer pretending to be from Brothers and got into my computer telling me it was necessary to connect to the printer and diagnosting the issue (didn't know it was the lack of ink issue) Nightmare. This person redirected me to supposedly someone from FCC to report that this scam artist detected fraud. I called that number and he asked for my social security number to post a fraud claim and if I didn't I could go to jail. I hung up but this process took an hour and a half. Preface by saying I have been a customer of Staples for 30ish years. Did all purchasing for a large company in Concord and knew most of the Managers and some of the employees by name and they knew mine. Today I was treated so rudely by their clerk on a return (same clerk that moves in slow motion). I am sure with employees like this that Staples will go the way of Circuit City. They are now, in most cases, just a showcase for Amazon. Look at products here and buy them from Amazon! Good thing for them that they are an Amazon return spot. I'm not sure what I expected, but certainly more than what I got. The guy around the shipping area was useless and condescending.

Vet disappointed with service. Took us a while for someone to help us who then recommended we look at amazon. He said we could get iPad once tech was ready. 25 minute wait we found another person to help us who again we had to wait for tech guy. Tech guy came and said they were sold out. I never go out of my way to write negatively about a company. Actually this is my very first time and just created a Yelp account specifically to address this company. But I do not respect a establishment that offers a service it is not by any means have professionalism or skill behind there work. But are willing to spend your money to let give try as well as you would. Do yourself a favor and never, ever let staples in concord nh replace your iPhone screen. they do not how to do it and try anyway because its a chargeable service. I spent 120 dollars for replacement and gelatin screen protector on my screen I had to get it replace by them 4 TIMES due to how poorly installed it was, whether it was when I tapped one letter about 7 other letters and pressure points on the screen would be activated, or being whiteness pressure damage marks, or just no reaction at all. I understand it may be very complicating and quite a technical process to have it appropriately calibrated to the phone....but then leave it to the professionals.... on the 5th time I told them I do not want them to do it again they still charged me full price because I paid with credit card that I no longer had because it had a fraud alert on it so I couldn't get money back, and I was obligated to reside with the screen they charged me for. So I guess as far as them being an office retail store sure go buy your over priced Xerox paper by all means if that's how you want to spend your money they are good at stocking shelves and selling things from major industries that provide there store with merchandise. As far as having applied skill and knowledge to fix/ understand technology is by far the lowest caliber I've experienced . You are better off walking down the plaza into Gamestop and asking them question about the item in staples then the concord staples staff. Not. Impressed. read more
