Helpful staff, clean store...and not very busy on a Friday afternoon. Not very busy, meaning...lots of people standing around offering to help you find stuff. They don't pester, though, which is good. I'm the type that likes to browse sometimes, and then ask for help if I can't find it on my own. I needed to print out a document. I usually don't need to do this because I have a printer at home. But given the circumstances, I needed to make this 20-minute drive here. Staples has it set up super easy. You can email your document to them and make a copy, or you can directly hook up your device via USB to their printer. You can also have it sent through their business printing, but it takes longer and is thirty cents more per copy. They currently have curved side pick up as well as in-person visits. Whatever suits you best. I've had instances where my document does not print out correctly and I just inform the clerk, and they will print it out for you again. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Staples. This was at the Staples off of Ken Pratt in Longmont, CO. I printed my wedding invites, RSVPs, registry cards, and address labels through them. I designed all four and they just had to print. The invites, RSVPs, and registry cards came out beautifully and I was so happy. Over the weekend, a kinder older man helped me when I picked up my invites, and a sweet, middle-aged blonde woman helped me when I picked up my RSVPs. However, the address labels were microscopic and you could not even read them. My fiancé went to pick them up yesterday (6/11) and did not look at them, so he paid for them and left. I did not send the label in that small of text, I printed in 18.5 size font) and they told me I was going to have to pay again for them to reprint the labels, even though the mistake was on them. I spoke to an older brown haired woman, I think her name was Kara, and she was very short with me, offering no kind of solution. She said their printer and network were down and didn't know when it would be back up and running; she also told me that the image isn't altered when they print it, they print what they receive, and asked me to prove that my font wasn't sent microscopic. She was very rude and not helpful in the slightest. I wish that I spoke with the older man or blonde woman today because I feel like they would've at least offered some sort of help or discount. This has been such a frustrating process because the place I printed my invites, etc. at before Staples messed those up, so this is the second place I am printing them. I ended up borrowing a friend's printer and printing the address labels myself, which took me 2.5 hours to do as I had to create the template from scratch. It has been so stressful and my invites need to get out asap. I am so disappointed in the service I received today. Such a bummer because I was going to write a great review for them since everything else came out amazing, but the service I received today cancelled all of that out. read more

Ok store, but at least one of the check-out staff could use some customer service training. The paper shredder I was there to buy rang up for $109, which was $10 more than the tag on shelf said it cost. The cashier said the $99 was an expired sales price, but I knew it wasn't, so I went back and took a picture of the price so she could see that it needed to be adjusted. Instead of simply ringing it up correctly, she acted peeved that I had challenged her, and her response to the picture was arrogant and dismissive, insisting that it was an expired sales price. It wasn't. But, in reality, even if it had been, it would have been the store's responsibility to take their sales tags down if the sale has expired. Once I finally convinced her that there was no sale price involved, the computer just had the price wrong, she shifted to treating me like she was doing me a favor. She actually said, "Well, ok, I guess we can honor the price on the sticker". Really?? How about, "Oh gosh, sorry about that, we'd better fix the price in the computer." If I had to guess, she did nothing to see to it that the price got properly adjusted in their system so that the next customer doesn't get overcharged too. read more

I went in there to inquire about business cards and I was told that I could do it online I was thinking to myself at first maybe there's a little computer station that you could do it and then possibly you could get assistance with whoever was there but they're like no you do it online order it submit it I'm like okay, I completed my cards on a desktop and tried to stay in the safety zone that's on their program and I submitted it and then I was to pick it up the same day at 7:30, for whatever reason the machine was not cooperating with them and they asked me if I if they could use a matte rather than the more glossy finish and I was like okay whatever and then I guess they still had a problem with them machine and they said well let me get somebody to look at the machine or whatever try to deal with the problem I said fine let me know cuz if you get the machine fixed or the get it resolved I would still like the glossy finish anyways call the next day how about a cheetah I must have called like 10 times nobody answered so I was like okay well whatever and I got an email saying it was finished fine I went up there and me and this guy were waiting for customer service at the printing counter and the woman that was working at you can tell she was agitated and that she just kind of says pretty loud okay who's next!!? Me and him just looked at each other like nope you go first, when she got to me she's like okay are you picking up what's the last name you got an order number I mean just I'm just like wow so I gave her my name and she goes you know we really had to work really hard on these and I'm like what do you mean and she's like they were all crooked your your I guess where I was putting my information I was just off centered and I said well I was in the "safety zone"she just is impatient and she was like well you have to remember that when you're doing this you have to make sure that your wording is in a certain you know area or whatnot and I'm looking at her like you have I have to remember these things this was the first time I did it I was that's why I was hoping that when I initially came in there might be a little computer there so if I did make an error that they could tell me how to fix it and if that was the case anyways that it was misaligned and whatnot why didn't they tell me this when they first told me that they were having problems printing it? She told me next time that happens we will just cancel it and then you'll have to do it over and I'm like wow this is what it is what am I that special that I get your I get your attitude you know you may be hate your job guess what that's why I'm trying to be my own boss lady customer service is so terrible I won't go to Staples again cuz I actually needed to go back there and go get some stuff and I will not go to that Staples but I won't go to Staples entirely again I'll just go to like Minuteman printing or something which I should have done from the get-go sorry I walked into your establishment I'm sorry I wasted your time I'm sorry I made you mad and you know what I'm sorry I made you work just a little bit I'm sorry even decided to go with staples and then the reason I did is because Staples is a well-known name and there is an expectation and that's why I went with them unknowing to me I did not know that I was going to get my ass chewed because I made her work really hard it's like trust me lady you have no idea what hard work is why don't you go to work with me one day and I will work your ass I will work you. read more

I'm very disappointed. I went in looking to buy a new Kindle Paperwhite because I had such a good experience buying my other kindle here three years ago. I was completely ignored when I walked in past two employees. Then I found the e-readers and they had them mislabeled and didn't have all the models displayed that were posted. When I looked for someone to help, there was one young lady going on break, and didn't stop when I tried to get her attention. I waited around for 10 minutes and finally figured that the store probably would not have what I wanted. As I was walking out the door two young men who were sitting at the cashier area asked if I found everything. I replied, 'No, because nobody helped me.' They seemed to shrug and not say anything. I bought a new printer from Staples. I needed toner for it, now they no longer carry the brand or any type of substitute for it. This the 2nd time I bought a product from staples and they quit carrying the supplies for the product. They told me that they could order it and have it shipped to my house. I told them I could do the same thing and get it cheaper and faster. The whole thing is that I it today. Check OFFICEMAX, and they have a store I can pick it up today. Today I dropped off two computers to be recycled. I read on the website that you can drop them off for free so they don't end up in a landfill. I called the store a couple hours before I left just to double check. The woman on the phone said yes they would take pretty much anything but TVs. After carrying these dinosaurs down two flights of stairs and hauling them into town I brought one in and the woman said just to set it on the counter as I went to get the other one. When I brought the second one in a guy told me to go take them to the cashier. When I got there a guy yelled at me in front of other employees and customers and told me that they don't take them. I told him I had just called to confirm that they did and also read it on the website. He insisted that they didn't and that I had to take the computers back with me. The other cashier said she was the woman on the phone and said she did tell me I could. The guy continued to argue with me in front of everyone and seemed to start getting annoyed. He then changed his story and said they just don't have anymore room for them. And that he had stuck a sign up saying they weren't taking anymore today even though I was told to bring them in two hours earlier (I'm assuming he stuck that sign on the door after he found out his employee had told me to bring them in) He then acted like a child and threw his hands up in the air and said "Fine just leave them I'll figure out what to do with them". Made me feel like I had hugely inconvenienced him. I've worked in customer service my whole life. That is not how you treat a customer. And if he was the manager that is definitely not how a manger is to remedy a situation. The right way to handle that would have been. "Yes ma'am. Please just set them right there and we will take care of it. Thanks and have a great day. " And I would have walked out and not thought anything different. Instead I was made an example in front of everyone and was yelled at. What a shame. I walked out and told him I won't bother him with bringing anything else into the store. Nor will I bother him with anymore of my company's business. read more

I'm writing this review from my iPhone which now works thanks to the tech dry machine at staples! I dropped my phone in water a A few days ago and although I powered it off and let it dry, Parts of the screen still did not work and my phone was hitting random buttons, opening random apps, and making random calls. I decided to take my phone here for repairs because they were the only ones that guaranteed it would work before they charged me. Most places wanted 80 bucks for it to maybe work or maybe not. They put my phone in the machine and now it works way better than it did. Although it's definitely not perfect, it at least works. (Faint water mark down screen, and a couple of finicky areas on the screen) Since it wasn't back to 100% they didn't charge me full price for the repairs which was very nice of the staples employees. If your phone is water damaged take it here... you have nothing to lose! read more

I bought a printer from Staples and when it acted up I took it in to see if they could help. On 2/15/2018 at 3:15 pm the surly woman at the counter referred me to the young man next to her. He related unequivocally that he would not be able to help me. He could not advise on the problem, he could not troubleshoot in any manner, and could not refer me to anyone that could. He told me they sold them, they do not support them. He told me, "It is on you" to find someone to help you. I related that it made no sense for them to not offer any help following a sale. He told me to take my attitude and get out. Which I did after we exchange a few more words. I walked a couple store fronts down to Best Buy. Best Buy took a few minutes to look at my malfunctioning printer, advised me on whether to pursue a repair or replacement, then spent a few minutes setting me up with a new machine, took my old one in for recycle (Staples on Ken Pratt proudly displays signs relating they DO NOT RECYCLE), and gave me a 15% reduction on the already reduced price. I will NEVER SET FOOT IN A STAPLES STORE AGAIN. read more

WOW. I called to find out if this store had color HP cartridges in stock. I was transfered right away to Alex who verified that the product was in stock. He then gave me a quick tutorial on the type of cartridges they carry and the difference in price and value. I told him which one I planned to buy and he offered to have it waiting for me at check.
