JUDSON! I had the most positive experience because of Judson. I came in stressed with a large order to print for my upcoming presentation. Judson disarmed me the moment I got there and made everything so easy. He was incredibly patient with me, caring and funny. It's hard to come across that level of customer service these days. I would never leave a review for a Staples store, but each time I go here I get a different employee that can't be bothered to answer any of my simple questions. I get it that you are overpriced and Amazon is beating you at every turn, but you would think they would make up for it in customer service. Nope. The store has basically turned into a giant printer and a place you can look at the items before you order them off the internet. I had a simple print job of my resume. I came to the counter and 3 employees ignored me but proceeded to laugh amongst themselves and make sexist jokes. A man walked up and was greeted right away. Finally got my order only to come home and find out they printed the wrong number of copies. I called and the manager John did not even apologize or offer me any coupon, although I asked. So I have to drive back there. Inconvenient. Overpriced. The library will do a better job next time. Rude and unprofessional people. read more

Today I went in for printing and binding of documents. It just seemed like I was burden to the staff that were there. They don't adequately staff their copy and business center well. It seemed like they didn't want to help me, and that I was too demanding. I recognize that it is a Sunday and people would rather be someplace else, but if I was working there, I would make sure that people's business matters. The lady working behind the counter wanted me to count my pages and step out of the line so that she could someone else, but I said "no," as I had been waiting my turn. The customer service at this store leaves much to be desired. I went there to ship an item via ups. When it didn't arrive on time, I went to store for assistance and they said not their problem, despite the fact the tracking info said it never let the store and their ups hot line said I should go to store in person to get them to investigate. They only started to look into it after I contacted the police due to concerns of sensitivity of items sent. Something I paid for next day delivery being shipped from NJ to NY ended up taking two weeks to arrive since the store ended up shipping it to Texas instead and they refused to give any explanation of why it was sent to Texas and why after locating my package in Texas they didn't then expedite the delivery to get to it to the arrival site sooner. Little to say, the store's response at all times was "Not their concern and not their problem." If you want to be treated fairly or at least get reasonable customer service, go to another store. read more

I needed help printing out a shipping label. Although I tried the self-service kiosk, it didn't work. The print staff had me forward the email to them and the printed it out for me. Also, everyone I dealt with in the computer section was very helpful. read more

I bought a new H/P laptop and spent a decent amount of money, I was told that it was incompatible with my old HP Photosmart 6520 printer and I would have to buy a new printer. When my son came to hook up the new printer he first went to see if my old printer was indeed incompatible and found it was actually 100% compatible and works fine. I was lied to. Please be aware of the false upselling tactics, I trusted the technician and realize now I should have checked to see if I did in fact need a new printer. read more

The customer service at this location is great that's not what the review is about. The review is based on Staples pricing. I went into this location to buy a 12-month planner, tape for my labeler and a 5 inch binder. To my surprise my total came out to about $90. $90 for a 12-month planner one tape for my labeler and one binder. I left, I didn't buy anything . This is ridiculous how can Staples get away with this? Let's just say I went home I printed out a 12 month calendar and stapled it. This place seems dead ever time I come here. Back a few years back this was one of the most popular places to come for office supplies, print jobs, and package shipping. Sadly this is no longer the case. I went in today and it was relatively quiet with a few customers. Took about 10 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help and another few for someone to come assist me. Ended up purchasing a few toners and a new printer on Black Friday, but no thanks to the staff and management here. The customer service here really is the worst, people who work here are inexperienced, unhelpful, rude even and outright will constantly nag you to buy extra stuff you don't need. This one manager kept asking me to buy protection and then kept on going about how my printer would be broken soon and so on. Staples get your act together, at this rate this store may as well close down. Won't be back unless you get a staff and management turnover. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. The service at the copy and print counter was beyond horrible. My job required a large print and poster job for a client. Took it here on a Friday. The total cost was $2,700 and we were told it would be ready the next Friday. I went the next Friday and it hadn't even been started. I had a meeting with the client that afternoon. They half-heartedly apologized and said they would start immediately and it would be done after my meeting. Went back after my meeting, nothing had been completed. Spoke to a manager to voice my displeasure. He assured me that it would be completed by the end of the night. Received a call about 4 hours later saying the job was 75% finished and I could pick up what was completed then but they would finish the rest that night. Went back on Saturday a few hours after it had opened and they still were not finished. Went back on Sunday again. They said it was completed, however upon checking the documents I found there were documents missing. Totally unprofessional and horrible service. Learn from my mistake and go somewhere else read more

Customer service was very poor. I needed supplies for school and called the Staples location in Sea Girt. They happily looked for a good fifteen minutes and politely said they did not find it. Next, I called the one in Ocean. The woman on the other end said in an almost ticked off voice, "Hi, what do you need?" I told her what I needed: a hole punch/ruler. She angrily responded, "I have no idea. We have thousands of items in this store. Do you really expect me to know what it is you need and if we have it?" I kindly said, "Have a nice day," and hung up. Will never go back to that Staples again. read more

I'd give this Staples location less than one star, if possible. I've been in the store for almost an hour, and all I needed was 25 black and white copies. The first set was entirely printed before I noticed that the ink bled all over the page, so it had to be completely redone. Only one printer in the store currently works, and they should have paid me $97 instead of the other way around for this crazy inconvenience. read more

Went to the store with a broken/wet iPhone after realizing that there was no help with a ziplock bag full of rice. Chad and the other two guys on his tech crew took a look at my phone and said they would try to see what they could do. They put it in there new TechDry machine and in 30 minutes the device that had evidence of water everywhere we moisture free. The service costs $70 if the phone is back to working order. Well, there were still a few glitches in the phone but most function was back. So I asked what I owed them for the service, They told me, "If it's not back 100% then it doesn't really count that we fixed it." So they didn't charge me for any thing. They tried and that's all I would ask and they were courteous and professional at all times with nothing but a smile and friendly response.
