Took the car to Ribaudo, didn't mention NTB at all, just asked them to check the front and back brakes. Guess what? The front and back brakes (and rotors) are just fine. He asked why I thought they needed to be checked and I told him that I had heard some grinding. This car sits for a while when my daughter is away at school. Turns out the grinding is pretty common for a bit while the car warms up if it hasn't been driven for a while. Total due to Ribaudo - $31.85, which includes lubricating both sets of brakes. I'm a fan.
