This theater is exquisite! Nice, clean, upscale, great menu, and very courteous and professional staff! Love the hospitality/concierge members as well. For the area - this is the service I expect. We've been a fan since before the pandemic. We were so excited Star was one of the first cinemas to reopen. Watched the first Avengers movie just to get out of the house. I literally ONLY come to Star Cinema Grill because of the cookies. They're so scrumptious, like literally can give Tiff Treats a run for their money but this location (may be an isolated incident) has disappointed me in the cookie department. They were out of the triple chocolate chip cookies (and that's totally understandable because they're bomb) and against my better judgment, I figured I'd try the oatmeal raisin. I ordered the cookies at 7:25pm and they were delivered at 7:32pm. The cookies were cold as if they were sitting under a lamp and/or just sitting. Now, this location may be different than others (specifically Conroe) but it's my understanding that the cookies take 30 minutes to cook and that was wayyyy less than 30 minutes. I then notify the server and she says, "Yeah, they may have already been cooked" . I told her I wanted fresh ones to which more cookies were provided but based on time and temp, I'd say they weren't the freshest they could offer. I won't cheat on "Conroe" again but for the sake of these good cookies, please don't sabotage their reputations read more

For a year this has been my go to theater. Nothing like a movie good and drinks. I went on Tuesday 8/9/2022 and will not be returning m. I ordered beef sliders and when I bit into one it taste sour/spoiled. I had the waiter to return and he stated he would have the kitchen "investigate". He returned and stated I needed to order something else. I asked what was this issue and he stated the kitchen is checking the meat. At that point I was disgusted and didn't want anything but my daughter ordered chicken strips. They were brought out and he stated sorry. At no point was any attempt make to rectify me being served spoiled food. A manager didn't come to assist or apologize. No worries the best action is posting a warning for others. read more

So this review is mostly for the food service... If I was writing for the actual movie, the general feel of the theater etc, it would be 5 stars...the theater is beautiful and very nicely appointed. Chairs are comfy (get the VIP pod) and plenty of room. Here's the reason to ding the 2 stars off...in a word, service. Waiter was nice enough, but, asked what their beers on tap were, he proceeded to rattle off the breweries that they had - not the beers. So I asked again, what beers from those various local breweries did they have and his answer was, "I'm not really much of a beer guy, so I don't know". ...maybe go find out? No offer to do so, so I asked, and he said "right now?"...(facepalm moment). I ordered an iced tea, which I ended up having to ask 3 other folks before I got it. Wife's tea came out right away...was actually nearly halfway through my meal before my drink came out. Had to ask two different folks for the side of ranch I asked for when I ordered...told them NO pickles, sandwich comes out with a huge dripping wet pickle spear spiked through the top of the bun...another facepalm. Never received sweetener for the tea I ordered, had to get up and head out to the bar to get some... Movie was awesome, food tasted fine, service sucked. Hopefully this is growing pains from being new but they need to fix it! read more

Best kept secret in Woodlands/Spring area. My hubby and I went here for date night and fell in love with the concept. You buy your tickets as soon as you walk in. There id a bar there but that's just for drinks. Go straight to your movie and find your seat. Then you light up your small light and a server will take your order. There are plenty of food options, including drink menu. Yes please! The server was so on point. Surprisingly the food came relatively quickly. I love that! The facilities are so cozy, clean and well kept. The chairs are so comfortable. It's like being at home with food service. I recommend you get your tickets on line. It's faster but you can wing it and buy the tickets at the theater. One more thing if you get cold they will bring you a blanket. So thoughtful! We love it and we will be back! read more

This review is based on the food, service, experience and the facility (not the movie). After all, their "gimmick" is that they serve you a meal while you enjoy a movie. While the facility was top notch the food was your average "bar" food (nothing special) but the service was absolutely atrocious which led to us not enjoying the movie experience. Knowing that it would take some time to order and receive our food we arrived about 20 minutes early. After reviewing the menu, we (group of 5) ordered our drinks and meal. Well, that's where it all went wrong as 3 of our drinks arrived in about 15 minutes or so but the other two didn't come until over 30 minutes into the movie so probably 45 minutes after ordering. This is despite asking for them 4 times, including leaving the movie to speak with management. Our food was similarly a disaster. Part of it arrived about 15 minutes into the movie but the remainder was well over 90 minutes into the movie. Again this was after asking and complaining about it several times. To their credit they did eventually give us free passes for a future visit and did not charge for the food, just the drinks. But, I feel like you've got one job here (promptly serve the food and drinks) and you couldn't get the right at all. read more

Not my first coming to a newly open movie theater. Had the chance to go to warren theater in OKC. And now experiencing this theater was nothing less of grand. The entire building looks like a lounge. Love all the entire choices and bar layout. The seats themselves are prestine and comfortable. They have little side kiosks to purchase your tickets from. The only probably i have with this place is the parking. It's TINY! They also serve food and alcohol during the movies. We've been here twice and both times I've ordered the Haley berry for drinks and both times, it was delicious. Cannot wait to drop by and catch a movie next time. read more

I his is our go to theater for date night. The food and drinks are okay. The margarita is a pre-mix. Popcorn could be bigger. A small popcorn and coke cost $14. Service is excellent. Bring a blanket or jacket it is chilly. read more

Great place to watch a movie , just don't order any food or snacks. The prices are insane. A small bag of m&m's cost around $6-7 dollars! The sweet potato fries were cold and probably old. They went and cooked a fresh batch like they should've from the start and they were very good. read more

Beautiful decor. Helpful staff. Clean bathrooms. Food is just ok - the shrimp salad was good (but it did have hard chunks of bacon that I couldnt eat) and the wings were good as well. The queso and sweet potatoe fries were terrible but the egg rolls were ok. We enjoyed the warm pods with the privacy wall but it's so close to the screen that I probably wouldnt pay extra for it again. I won't return but I would re commend as a date place for sure - come ready to spend. read more

We had a great time, and the Sliders and fried pickles were delicious! Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and silently checked in on us frequently without being a disturbance. She brought us refills and a to go box without being asked! The premium pods with dividing walls, heaters, blankets, and complimentary popcorn were worth the extra money. Went to go see the new Horror movie barbarian last night, the movie was good. The service kind of sucked. We ordered and they forgot a few things. When I brought it up to one of the servers or food runners that they forgot my side of butter and salt with one of my things they said "okay" and then just never came back. I usually go to vintage park star cinema and it is very beautiful but this one is very impressive and beautiful as well. I love the art Deco décor. The food was good and the service was great!!
