Lack of ability to gain my trust due to poor management, unskilled labor and inability to even pretend like they care.

Don't even let the thought of them touching your vehicle, damaged or otherwise. I was in a parking lot fender bender. I have a 2019 Ford F150 which has aluminum construction. The Ford dealership did a quote, but they didn't work with my insurance (progressive). They said the only worked with Star Collison. Not a problem I thought. In both quotes I needed an entire new bed side. I dropped my truck off and pretty much kept it. I am a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran (getting to that later). I knew they had to order a bed side and other parts underneath and remove the bed. I was in a rental for 4 weeks. Apparently, they just kept the vehicle until the parts arrived. Which made me angry. Me and my wife called Ryan (no idea what his title is) I explained I was frustrated and what the holdup was. He said just waiting on parts and I told him I knew that but why did it take (then 3 weeks) to get parts. I also told him I have PTSD and was a service-connected veteran and he just laughed on the phone. I kid you not. I just had to leave it and hope for the best. Got news my truck was ready and me and my wife went down to pick it up. I checked the gaps. and They were ok. Paint was a bit wavy but it's a black truck and I let it go. 5 weeks into having my truck I had a first car wash. I noticed a chunk of paint missing near the rear tire. Yep, bare aluminum. Called my wife and she spoke to Ryan again and said they would schedule it to be repaired. Aluminum is hard to paint I get it but when Ryan looked at it he said he would warranty the paint. Like it was the paint's fault for not adhering to the aluminum. I am not a dummy. Still no repaint schedules. That paint flaking off was in May 11th. Still no reschedule, not that I would trust it. Paint and work are warrantied for a year. Says all you need to about their entire business. Included picture of the damage before repair and the flaking. I have used Star Collision a couple times and I always have a great experience. Chris is always so helpful and informative. I've taken 3 different vehicles there for mechanical repairs and have always gotten everything fixed the first time. There was one time it stayed a lengthy amount of time because of national back order issues (during Covid) I couldn't drive that vehicle at that point anyways (transmission). It was safe on their property! My warranty is accepted there and they are reasonably priced if the work isn't covered by warranty. I would recommend these guys all day! read more

Dont waist your time have the money to fix my car people at the shop not willing to work with you. first shop i went to after being jerked around by in insurance companies in other body shops. go to this place to get an estimate didn't open the car up or nothing just immediately gave me an exorbitant price, mind your another shop opened the car up to check what parts are needed for repairs no where close to what the other shops estimate was and the other shop checked the car. after that i knew i wasn't welcomed. I took my car to star after it was damage in an accident. Although they were unable to fix it, due to other circumstances not theirs, when I went to pick up my car it was returned to me in better condition than when I dropped if off! They were not going to make any money off the car and after the estimate their job was done. They really went above and beyond to make sure it was better than before. I took my car in for a cracked bumper and the job took longer than planned and the color did not match. The progressive agent and Star said there was no problem but when a different shop verified my claim they said have the other shop take care of it. Their warranty is useless and the craftsmanship is a amature. The local progressive agent and Star do not help customers and give you a hard time, so not choose Star Collision and Progressive. read more

Went there to get parts painted and must say I wish I had gone elsewhere. The paint job was good once it was finally done but in the meantime they quoted me one price, a couple days later increased it, a couple days after that increased it again and said it is either that price or they couldn't do it because they didn't want to. All in all, I wasted well over a week trying to get them to paint all my parts then just gave up on it. Next time I need paint (which is now because they changed their minds about painting some of my parts) I will most definitely go elsewhere. Very arrogant bunch but the woman who works the front room was very nice and helpful, their painters are just a pain. read more

What kind of auto body shop doesn't know the difference between a sedan and a suburban? Took our impala here for a simple bumper replacement. We paid a week before we brought the car in so the parts would have time to come in. We were told that it would take 2 days max. It has now been almost a week and after several times of calling and not having our calls returned we are being told that they accidentally ordered a suburban bumper! read more

This is the worst place I ever been to, they damaged my ride after fixing it. They fixed my fuel line but messed around with my exhausted pipe now its hanging. It wasn't like that when I brought it to that place. NOW I have to spend more money to fix what they messed up. I was at victim of a 3 car collision. I had my vehicle sent to star collision. When I went by myself (I am a female). EDDIE the estimator was super nice. When I took my brother with me to get more information he was very rude and treated me horrible. Then he called me on their day off (Saturday) and stated "you need to move your vehicle or I am having it towed"; I did not have a chance to say anything before he hung up on me. I stressed all Saturday calling the insurance, to find out what I needed to do. The insurance I formed me to leave the vehicle and they will take care of it if he tows it. On Monday my claims specialist informed me that EDDIE told them "she removed her vehicle on Friday and it was not there". I had to tell the insurance that he called me the day after (saturday) and stated "you need to move your vehicle or I am having it towed" whereas he told them the vehicle was not there. I did nothing due to the insurances' instructions and I left the vehicle there. The insurance finally agreed to tow my truck to another location to have ot worked on. I would not recommend to anyone. If I could give a negative star this would be the place. read more

We got our car body worked from Star Collision Center in Farmington, NM after someone back ended into us and this place was horrible. They will not complete the job on time. Once you give your car, they do what they want to do. At first the trunk liner was not put back in the right the place which was obvious for anyone and they should have fixed it. Took my car back and they fixed it. Then, I found out the trunk wouldn't close properly. So took it there again. They said they will order parts and will call. Guess what, they never did. If your insurance company tells you to go there like mine did, don't go. Take your money and run. I have not seen people who does their job with less commitment. They do have a lifetime guarantee on their works. But I don't think I will ever go there again. read more

BEWARE of Star collision center!!! They have horrible customer service and they did an awful job on my repair. When I brought it to their attention, they did very little to help the situation and that includes the front desk. They damaged my car battery and then had the audacity to make me pay for a new battery and also charged me additional labor to install the car battery!! BUYER BEWARE On 2-23-2014 it was recommended by Discount Tire personnel to obtain a front end alignment from Star Collision Center. I met with Cody McKinney Service Advisor who had one of his service technician's look at my truck. He advised me that I needed upper ball joints and an alignment. The quote was $300 for ball joints and 50 for the alignment.. I contacted my trustworthy Durango mechanic Andy Graybeal @Andy's Imports @970-903-0207. He recommended he look at the situation explaining that the upper ball joints rarely need replacement. I advised the Star Collision folks not to do the repair and took my vehicle to Andy. Upon his inspection of my vehicle, he said I did not need upper ball joints. He replaced one lower ball joint because it was very slightly loose stating I should error on the side of caution. I then took my truck to Goodyear Tire. I asked them to inspect the upper ball joints and they advised me that they were fine. Goodyear charged me slightly more for the alignment but provided me a coupon to reduce the price. Shame on Star Collision who want to charge for work not needed! read more

We took our car here after a collision only because this is the repair shop our insurance uses. Told it would take about a week. 10 days later was told it was ready and went to pick it up. The paint job was the worst I have ever seen. Raised areas all over the hood with sand and who knows what else, also several paint runs. And one of the dents wasn't fixed. It took them THREE tries and a MONTH to finish it. After all this there was still 2 factory holes that should have been filled and painted on the bumper but we let it go since it had been painted 3 times already. After we got home we noticed that the hood wasn't sitting flush and had a gap on one side. We took the car back up AGAIN and they said they had to order a part and would call us when it came in. Well that was 3 months ago and haven't heard back. Tired of calling. They are the most arrogant bunch of people who really don't care and have no pride about the quality of work they do. I should have listened to my gut instinct and paid the extra money and had my car fixed elsewhere. read more

I took my 2006 Dodge to them to repair damage to my paint. They did an excellent job of matching the paint color, the job was completed on time, and provided excellent customer service. I would recommend Star Collision Center for any auto body and paint repaires. I returned to them 2 months later to have a small repair created by a door hitting my truck and leaving a mark and to have a bumper straightened. They remembered who I was and were able to fix it within an hour. Awesome customer service once again! read more
