There are many times when someone describes a talented athlete or actor they like and they end with the phrase "and they are an even better person ". That's Star Cleaners. They are great at dry cleaning, and they remember every customer. I can't imagine using another dry cleaner, they are the best! read more

My husband dropped off a shirt and suit here in January to be cleaned and promptly forgot about them. Until July when suddenly he needed the shirt for a wedding he was in this weekend. This place still had the items clean and ready to go and didn't charge us any additional fees for leaving them there for 6 months. What an excellent business. read more

The staff and service here was excellent! I took in a comforter to be dry cleaned and they did an outstanding job on it. Even better than I'd hoped for!! I will make this my goto for all dry cleaning needs from here on out. They also got it back to me earlier than expected, by two days. Can't beat that for service!!! read more

Recently I washed one of my vests with a new towel and what a mess! Towel fuzz was all over the vest inside and out! I took it to Star and boy did they work their magic, removed all fuzz! I have done business with Star Cleaners 12 years and have always been happy with their work and professionalism and their prices are reasonable! Top quality laundry (shirts) and dry cleaning. The owners work the counter and are as pleasant and efficient as one could ever hope for. This week they replaced a button on one of my favorite shirts. It was no simple task as there were no additional buttons provided and it was a rather unusual thick button. The normal turnaround is 2-3 business days but they will expedite since the cleaning is done in-house. read more

Had to find a new dry cleaner more convenient to me after I switched jobs. I just didn't want others to be surprised if every once in awhile your sleeves were not perfect. That said, I've tried a number of other places and this is the best of the bunch.

It's open 24 hours, but there isn't an attendant overnight. But my experience is the attendants are helpful and friendly when they're there. There are a variety of well-maintained machines in different sizes and styles (front load vs. top load) that should be able to accommodate most needs. The larger machines are priced a bit higher though. They're easily set and paid via credit card with an app or there is an ATM and change machine on site if you prefer the coin op method. Price is the same either way. There are plenty of tables and chairs available for folding, sorting, waiting, etc. There are also a few wheeled basket carts that can help with moving stuff around and include a bar for hanging items. Snack and drink machines are available as well as a few crane machines if you get hungry, thirsty, or bored. But the washers and dryers are pretty quick, so you shouldn't need to make a meal out of it. The prices seem a little higher than I might have expected, but the entire experience is also much nicer than I expected. So, it feels worth it. I don't go to laundromats regularly, and don't have much to compare to. All I can say is that this exceeded my expectations and I actually enjoy coming here when I have the need.

Tucked away, off of 116th street, in the track houses across from Handels Ice Cream, it would be easy to overlook them, but don't make that mistake. The place is small with a few changing rooms and their workplace, but what they lack in size, they make up for in dependable services and good prices. I have been using these ladies for the past ten years and have always been happy with their work. Their most recent undertaking for me was a lace bridesmaid's dress that was 4 sizes too big and reworking the entire gown to fit me. I can't imagine how many hours this took, but the dress turned out beautiful and fit perfectly.

At my initial appointment, I discussed several fairly straightforward alterations: taking in the dress, adding sleeves, closing the slit a bit, and adding a bustle. I was quoted for those services. At no point was I asked to put on heels to determine the hem, so I was surprised when I received a call days later with a new quote including hemming--something we hadn't discussed and couldn't have accurately determined without heels. At my second appointment (wearing heels), we agreed the length was perfect and no hem was needed. We finalized the price without the hem. The seamstress was unable to pin through the material to properly assess how much the dress needed to be taken in, but I trusted her judgment and was told we'd evaluate it again at the next visit. When I came back, a different seamstress informed me that the dress had already been hemmed--despite the prior agreement--and I'd be charged for it. I was told the hemming had already been done before my second fitting. To resolve it, she asked if I'd pay to finish hemming the remaining layers and I reluctantly agreed. She also had to take the dress in more--again, something that should've been handled earlier. At my final appointment, we added the bustle. I asked if the dress would be steamed and was told that it wouldn't be, as we hadn't agreed on that earlier and that the dress had come in "dirty" (it hadn't--it was brand new from the boutique). I was offered a discounted price for steaming and accepted it. When I arrived to pick up my dress, they had trouble locating it--it took about 10 minutes. Once I got it home, it was clear the dress had not been steamed. The sleeves that were added were poorly sewn and I had to reinforce them myself. A clasp that was supposedly fixed fell off just days before the wedding. I had to take the dress elsewhere to fix the clasp and have it professionally steamed. I did reach out to the owner about these issues, and to her credit, she reimbursed me most of what I paid via check (since their payment system was down). But even after all of that, on my actual wedding day, the bustle broke less than two hours into the reception, and I had to change. The dress also never fit properly despite asking at every appointment to take it in more. It was visibly too big and I spent my wedding day pulling it up constantly. I would not recommend Donna's Alterations for wedding dress alterations. My dress didn't require anything overly complex, but the experience was inconsistent, the quality was disappointing, and the lack of attention to detail created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful time. (All photos are work from Donna's Alterations before having it all fixed) I wish I had taken more photos

I 1st heard about Star Cleaners in Fishers from a friend and have never looked back. This business is Hands-Down the best dry cleaner in the area. The owner-operators truly care and take pride in their business & your clothes. You can tell that they care the second you interact with them. I have dealt with many dry cleaners in the area in the past, and most of those haven't satisfied me, have lost items, or have some less than enthusiastic kid working up front. The Star Cleaners in Fishers is a breath of fresh air to me. They have worked tirelessly to build their business and their quality and reputation stands up for itself. If you are looking for an honest, caring dry cleaning business, Star Cleaners at Allisonville just north of 116th in Fishers is the place to take your dry cleaning to. You will be pleased. My only regrets? That I didn't find them sooner & that I cannot give them 6 Stars. read more

I have been using Star Cleaners on Allisonville Road for at least 10 years and maybe more. I would trust them with anything and have. Most often they handle my business shirts and occasionally my casual items but my wife and I have used them also for our daughter's wedding dress, our bedding comforters and more. It would be hard to find another local business who care more about their customers than Jay and Maya - two entrepreneurs who handle all aspects of their business. How often are you greeted by your first name when you enter a business and truly feel welcome? It happens every time at Star Cleaners. I'm a big fan and am so glad they have stayed in the neighborhood for so long. They truly do deserve a rating higher than 5-stars. read more

I have been using Star Dry Cleaners since 2009. The family that owns the business (Jay & Maya) are extremely friendly, courteous, & professional - and they call me by name every time I walk in.
