I rarely make reviews, but I had the worst experience ever with my wedding dress. They had not…read morecleaned it well, ripped my wedding dress, and lost my garment bag. First time I had dropped it off, it was barely cleaned at the bottom. I had them redo it, and it was cleaned better the second time and I was satisfied. It was returned with a slight rip at the top where the dress had folds, mind you I had only worn it for a few hours on my wedding day and I'm almost certain it was not brought in that way. Also I had dropped it off with a garment bag and it was lost during cleaning and not returned when pickup came the first time or second time and I was told they would look for it after the manager had called after I had requested a redo. I had gotten my dress out of state so the bag was branded with a bridal shop from my hometown, sounds silly, but it had minor sentimental value. There's no way I would've dropped off my white wedding dress without some sort of protection while bringing it in, plus I had a decorative hanger that was returned to me. There's no way I would've dropped off just my dress and hanger, but not the garment bag. Really upsetting in more than just one way.

They offered me no refund, have kept them in their possession and have made no attempt to make it right. Can you imagine? It is mind boggling. They have my coats! I left at least 4 messages and most recently left a message at their coorperate office. I honestly don't think they care. Surely, they would not want a company to treat them in such a poor, unethical manner, but I am just a number. So, now I will leave reviews, contact my bank and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It is a shame. They had been so good!

The lady asked if I was a new customer and took care of me quickly, took my info and coats and told me when they would be ready (2 or 3 days later). The price she quoted me was lower than I expected, and when I went back to pick up my items they looked fantastic! I was amazed at how nice my wool coat looked, like new! Zips feels like a volume-driven operation, not a service-oriented one. I expected more accountability and quality control.

I noticed on CC's website that they have a method of cleaning and rejuvenating them. I had a Valentine's Day coupon so I figured, why not? My two old down pillows came back like new in two days! The feathers were removed, cleaned & sanitized. They were then stuffed into new soft ticking. For less than $18 each I got back two essentially new down pillows. Quick, professional and courteous service as well. Who knew? Well now I do, and am happy to share this info. with my fellow Yelpers!

It's the little things... :) -It is cash only but there are several change machines in store that work beautifully. -clean! The machines themselves are cleaned and well-maintained, the floor (even in the winter) is free of lots of spills and debris. -There are staff on site to assist with change, and and other questions. - They offer free Wi-Fi with excellent signage to know the code. - Kroger is in the same parking lot, so a 29 minute wash cycle is perfect to run in and grab a couple of things. Pricing is $3 to wash for a 2-load size washing machine. This is about the same size as our home washing machine. They also offer drop off laundry services at about $1.50 per pound. This is significantly cheaper than tide cleaners, which charges close to $2.75 a pound.

It's open 24 hours, but there isn't an attendant overnight. But my experience is the attendants are helpful and friendly when they're there. There are a variety of well-maintained machines in different sizes and styles (front load vs. top load) that should be able to accommodate most needs. The larger machines are priced a bit higher though. They're easily set and paid via credit card with an app or there is an ATM and change machine on site if you prefer the coin op method. Price is the same either way. There are plenty of tables and chairs available for folding, sorting, waiting, etc. There are also a few wheeled basket carts that can help with moving stuff around and include a bar for hanging items. Snack and drink machines are available as well as a few crane machines if you get hungry, thirsty, or bored. But the washers and dryers are pretty quick, so you shouldn't need to make a meal out of it. The prices seem a little higher than I might have expected, but the entire experience is also much nicer than I expected. So, it feels worth it. I don't go to laundromats regularly, and don't have much to compare to. All I can say is that this exceeded my expectations and I actually enjoy coming here when I have the need.

Tucked away, off of 116th street, in the track houses across from Handels Ice Cream, it would be easy to overlook them, but don't make that mistake. The place is small with a few changing rooms and their workplace, but what they lack in size, they make up for in dependable services and good prices. I have been using these ladies for the past ten years and have always been happy with their work. Their most recent undertaking for me was a lace bridesmaid's dress that was 4 sizes too big and reworking the entire gown to fit me. I can't imagine how many hours this took, but the dress turned out beautiful and fit perfectly.

At my initial appointment, I discussed several fairly straightforward alterations: taking in the dress, adding sleeves, closing the slit a bit, and adding a bustle. I was quoted for those services. At no point was I asked to put on heels to determine the hem, so I was surprised when I received a call days later with a new quote including hemming--something we hadn't discussed and couldn't have accurately determined without heels. At my second appointment (wearing heels), we agreed the length was perfect and no hem was needed. We finalized the price without the hem. The seamstress was unable to pin through the material to properly assess how much the dress needed to be taken in, but I trusted her judgment and was told we'd evaluate it again at the next visit. When I came back, a different seamstress informed me that the dress had already been hemmed--despite the prior agreement--and I'd be charged for it. I was told the hemming had already been done before my second fitting. To resolve it, she asked if I'd pay to finish hemming the remaining layers and I reluctantly agreed. She also had to take the dress in more--again, something that should've been handled earlier. At my final appointment, we added the bustle. I asked if the dress would be steamed and was told that it wouldn't be, as we hadn't agreed on that earlier and that the dress had come in "dirty" (it hadn't--it was brand new from the boutique). I was offered a discounted price for steaming and accepted it. When I arrived to pick up my dress, they had trouble locating it--it took about 10 minutes. Once I got it home, it was clear the dress had not been steamed. The sleeves that were added were poorly sewn and I had to reinforce them myself. A clasp that was supposedly fixed fell off just days before the wedding. I had to take the dress elsewhere to fix the clasp and have it professionally steamed. I did reach out to the owner about these issues, and to her credit, she reimbursed me most of what I paid via check (since their payment system was down). But even after all of that, on my actual wedding day, the bustle broke less than two hours into the reception, and I had to change. The dress also never fit properly despite asking at every appointment to take it in more. It was visibly too big and I spent my wedding day pulling it up constantly. I would not recommend Donna's Alterations for wedding dress alterations. My dress didn't require anything overly complex, but the experience was inconsistent, the quality was disappointing, and the lack of attention to detail created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful time. (All photos are work from Donna's Alterations before having it all fixed) I wish I had taken more photos

Unfortunately, that was not the case. This is the worst hemming job I have ever seen. One pair of my orange pants was hemmed using bright pink thread, which is clearly visible along the hem. The stitching wasn't even secured properly--it started coming loose while I was standing in the store speaking with the staff. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was told I would have to wait to speak with the manager, John, because he wasn't in the store that day. After paying $57 to have three pairs of pants hemmed, I now have to pay to have all three pairs redone correctly. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the alterations and the lack of an immediate resolution. Based on my experience I would not use them for alterations.

This is unacceptable and should not take this long for anyone to respond to an issue that you all created. Chris called me today after this post to insult my intelligence. He acted clueless and told me the dress looks fine to him. Well, I have pictures. He told me I was not getting anything from him and that he deals with this type of stuff all the time and that there is a disclaimer posted in their store and on their receipts. My dress was white/ivory and it is gray! They do not appear to be registered with the Secretary of State and are not accredited by the BBB. He hung up on me three times and told me to talk to his attorney. I, absolutely, have no problem with doing that at all. He is unprofessional and cannot articulate a clear thought or sentence and should not be handling customer complaints.
