These are what they made in fashion camp, even more than these.

My two girls went to fashion camp at Westport elementary school last week, and they create their own line of slumber party product. Both of them love it. Every morning they were excited to go to camp and when they come home they just talk a lot about camp. I can tell they love the camp so much.

Be careful....... The children are unsupervised and will get hurt. No accountability!

My son's first time at summer camp and he loves it! Star summer camp has a lot of options and the staff were really nice.

Star camp was an incredible way to get our daughter ready for kindergarten and get acclimated to her new school.

From the first day I went there, we were warmly welcomed into the space by Coaches Ben-Oní, Selah, and Audrey. In the last month, I have seen my son's confidence grow in his gross motor skills. I really liked the minimalist design of the space. There are no screens, and lots of encouragement to use the imagination, which is a major plus to me! I also really liked how they had structured and unstructured times in the class. All of the coaches encourage and respect children's boundaries. They taught me to not hurry my son, and that is something I am really grateful I learned from them. Two challenges with Wild Child are around parking and timing of classes. Though there is a lot on Watseka that does free 60 min parking, it can be difficult to time parking so that there is adequate time to get in and out of class with a toddler within the time frame. Secondly, many of the classes and Free Play for my son's age range were at times that conflicted with his schedule. For the price point, I would like more options that work for us. TLDR; I would recommend Wild Child and I hope Wild Child offers more morning class times.

They splash around in the waves with staff and the staff is wonderful. The highlight is when the ice cream truck comes by after lunch and everyone buys a treat. All treats are pre packed with easy to read ingredients, so very accessible for those kiddos with food allergies too. All the classics - big sticks, ice cream sandwiches, bomb pops, jaw breakers, snowcones, pickles, banana on a stick, cotton candy buckets, paletas, and more. It's also one of the few camps where you purchase by the day vs the week, so the flexibility is great. It's California. Going to beach camp is a rite of passage. So is the sand you bring home in your car too.

Since I don't attend the camp myself, I asked my 10-year old what he liked about it and he said: "the staff is really friendly because even if you make a mistake and do something wrong, they don't yell at you. They let us play in the sand, there are tons of games and activities (there's a game where they said a certain type of action and you have to do it or you lose; there's also a game where we pair up in teams and capture the flag), we go to the ocean two or three times a day to swim and play games there. They're really nice and there's ice cream truck every day and pizza on Friday." Speaking of the staff, they are truly one of the best (especially Jessica!!!) and so responsive! Truly one of the best camps around. (I wish they have them in the Bay Area). Highly recommend!

This location is at the beautiful Turning Point School in Culver City, adjacent to Surfas, and the metroline. The parking lot is small but the staff were great at directing traffic and getting everyone in and out. They ask you to walk your child for check-in on the first day, and then your child may be dropped off at valet on the subsequent days. Pick-up is always inside and you must show ID (nice safety measure). My daughter made a vacuum and was so excited to share her experiences each afternoon at pick up. She also had an unfinished (?) nightlight in her bag on her last day. We purchased the extended care for the week (because we work full-time regular office hours and planned to have our daughter there from 8-6). The last day (Friday) had a "closing ceremony" at 2:30 PM. I was disappointed because we weren't aware of this at enrollment. It was very difficult to attend and the entire camp literally closed down afterwards. Luckily I got the day off, but otherwise, my daughter would have been "stuck" there until 6 and it really did feel like they were "done". Most of the kids already had a mindset that they were done and packed, and the staff seemed to be ready to say goodbye as well. Meals and snacks are not included - bummer! Choicelunch, a hot food delivery service is available. One other disappointment for me - I decided to change locations (from Culver City to Brentwood) because of the commute and was charged a fee. Culver City was already waitlisted, so in my opinion, I just freed up another spot for them and shouldn't have accrued a charge. The customer service representative told me that it "takes a lot of work" to exchange locations but I just don't understand it. Galileo is new to So Cal and I would expect them to make some exceptions, especially if I'm helping them out (by freeing up a space). It's difficult to say if we'll return to Galileo next year. My daughter enjoyed it but she has enjoyed all the other camps she's attended. She's got an outgoing and fun personality, and she doesn't have difficulty meeting friends and enjoys challenges. There are other camps in LA that are also fun, offer meals and/or snacks and are less expensive.
