Child came home every day asking for water and saying he was dying of thirst. He would ask the staff to refill it many times and was told "in a minute" it never got refilled and he would give up asking. It was 80 degrees all week. He would get picked up and drink 2 BOTTLES OF WATER after camp because he was so dehydrated (I am not the parent of this child) His lunch also got misplaced one day, so he was not given any food that day. It makes me extremely sad to think that they would let a child sit there hungry with no food. Upon me posting about this camp in a local facebook group, TWO people chimed in with similar horror stories.

We had to move out of the area and I notified the camp as soon as possible, asking to cancel and requesting a refund. I was told they don't offer refunds unless someone from the waitlist takes the spot--which would be fair if they actually tried. Despite multiple email follow-ups over several weeks and being extremely patient, no real effort was made on their end. I personally know someone on the waitlist for our session who never received a call or update. If the policy is dependent on the spot being filled, then it's the camp's responsibility to at least try to fill it. Parents--if you're considering this camp, just know that if anything changes, you'll be stuck. No flexibility, no proactive communication, and no accountability in their own process. And if you're on the waitlist, don't just wait for a call--because they may never make one. Be ready to chase them down. Really disappointed in how this was handled.

The first thing that stands out to me is the wonderful staff. You can see all the detail and thought that goes into the camp from the time you drop them off. Every staff member is uniquely caring and attentive. I am a teacher and I feel that I can spot good childcare workers pretty well. Even after the long hot days of summer camp, the staff was still friendly and helpful all the way through pick up! I loved seeing the diversity and representation on the staff as well. To me this is a kid's summer camp dream. There's no work or desks. This time isn't spent catching up or getting ready for the school year. It's a time for your children to play and experience so many things. They had themed spirit days and fun activities to go along with them. They did activities like giant soccer, age appropriate ax throwing, water polo, flag football, a silent disco dance, arts and crafts, Gaga (IYKYK), inflatable water slides, they swam daily, and more. Worst experience we've ever had with a summer camp…read more The camp was clearly overbooked. There is no outdoor space, and during an extremely hot summer, the kids are packed inside like sardines. I booked the entire week of August 10th back in July and clearly communicated that my child would be attending the full week. This was confirmed. After he had already attended two days, we received an email at 8:00 PM telling us he could not attend camp the following day, with nothing more than an apology for the inconvenience. Who tells a parent at 8 PM that their child suddenly cannot come to camp the next morning after their spot was booked and confirmed weeks in advance? Because of their poor planning, I had to call out of work at the last minute, lose a full day of pay, and cancel a doctor's appointment. Completely unacceptable, irresponsible, and extremely unprofessional. Parents rely on confirmed childcare arrangements and organize their work and personal schedules around them. An "apology for the inconvenience" does not make up for leaving a family without childcare with only a few hours' notice.

Absolutely appalling corporate handling, which ruined the goodness of the camp and we will never give Steve and Kate's our business or recommendation again.
