Very disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered one buffet and one à la carte meal and very lightly shared the food between us which is very normal scenario. The staff pointed that very rudely and asked to pay for two buffets in addition to the à la carte order, which felt unfair and unreasonable. The staff also made statement about checking camera footage, which they should really check how less of food I ate from buffet. What made the situation worse was the rude and unprofessional way the staff spoke to us when we questioned the bill. Instead of explaining politely, they were disrespectful and made us feel uncomfortable. Good customer service and clear communication matter just as much as food quality. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and we would not return to this place again and would not recommend this restaurant to visit as a family. Advise to the restaurant owner: In such scenarios, you must clearly tell people about your sharing policy at the time of ordering the food and not at the time of paying the bill which will save you and the customer this unpleasant experience. read more

I used to really like Star India Restaurant, but their service has gone downhill. I went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and there were only a few customers. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Saturday. The guy at the counter on the restaurant side provided the worst customer service. We waited 45 minutes for our food, only to find out that he never even gave our order to the kitchen. The food quality was not that great either. I'm really disappointed with the overall experience. What a surprise! While on a business trip and staying at a hotel next door, I was craving tandoori chicken. It was delicious! Ordered the four piece dinner with a side of Naan. Really good food. At first it seemed pretty basic, but if you wait until the naan comes out you will for sure eat until you drop. I'll be honest it takes a little while for the naan to come out, but it's worth the wait. I would request it right when you you get seated. The naan with butter chicken and some of the white sauce next to the cucumbers and onions was perfect. They give you an option to upgrade the butter naan to garlic naan too. Als very good. This is a small restaurant located in a plaza with shared parking lot so it can a little hard to find parking. Restaurant is clean and has various sweets displayed. It's an order first at the counter and self seating. We ordered samosas, Goat Curry, Butter Chicken, Tikka Chicken Masala and of course Naan. Food was delicious and very filling. Stopped in to place a to go order for a quick dinner. I've been here before to grab some small cakes and samosas which were very good. We ordered the Dal Tadka, Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, and Garlic Naan. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for our food, and were quickly on our way home to relax and eat. The samosas tasted a bit different from the first time that we came, and were not as flavorful. The tamarind chutney and the green sauce were very good. The Dal Tadka and Chicken Tikka Masala were not very flavorful, and definitely lacked the spice that I expect when I order these dishes. The garlic naan was decent. The food was not bad, it was just unremarkable. If I'm craving some unique desserts I'd definitely stop here again, as the cakes were very good. I have been having bad experiences the last few times I've been to this establishment. The girls working there just stand there, and ready to help the men who walk in but not women. Maybe it's a cultural thing waiting on men and ignoring women. Anyways after a few bad experiences I decided to give them one more shot yesterday. I wanted to dine in with my daughter and was told to go sit in the restaurant area. We did and waited there 20 mins or so no one came to help us and kept helping the men walking in. At last I had no choice but to get up and leave. I guess they didn't need my business. Never going there ever again and telling all my family and friends not to go. No respect for customers. They made me drive there to take my food. I paid for door dash and extra tip, which was not worth it. Today, I went for dine in. There was literally no one there other than us. First of all they forgot to bring rice for our food. I had to keep waiting for someone to come. No one came to ask if needed anything. We needed water, no one came. We waited 10-15 mins for someone to come and ask for takeout boxes. No one came! No one came with bill either. I went to pay at the counter and told them the same. I told them because no one came to ask us or give us to-go boxes we had to leave our food. They said nothing. The server was at the counter and said nothing. They charge so much and no service at all. I wont recommend this place to anyone or go there agin. Instead try "Ulavachru Tiffins". They are great at service and good food. We went to this place for the first time to get some Indian sweets for an occasion. I was there when they opened up so I expected some fresh Indian sweets. I was not happy that they gave me Jalebi's which must be sitting there for many days. Also the gulab jamun was stale as well. Took my daughter there to purchase their sweets. There were two females working at the time. They were extremely rude to us. Then started speaking in their language. looking at us, and laughing. I thought this was so disrespectful and they provided such horrible customer service. I had thought about treating my daughter to eat at the restaurant but after being treated like this, decided not to. I noticed that the two female employees treated their nationality so kind and were helpful to them until it came to helping my daughter and I. Will never return back to this place of business. Went in to get some sweets and snacks and my mom was letting thr lady know that previously we bought some vegetable pakoras and they came with less vegetables and was filled with mainly flour. The lady started saying how that's not possible because it could happen to 1 or 2 pakoras but not the whole order itself. She started being rude to my mom and another man cane back from the inside and brought pakoras as an example to show this is what they look like but the day was different obviously. We should've brought the pakoras back the same day but again it was just something we were bringing to their attention and they took it negatively and started being rude. I finally paid for our order and she didn't even look at us and told us to wait. Then she started mumbling stuff to herself and another lady. Instead of her just listening, she started being rude and arguing back. Very unprofessional and will not be returning here.
