Came in one afternoon to get a necklace fixed. My 2 year old broke the bail connecting the pendant to it, which is either a quick repair or replacement of the bail. This isn't the first time my son has done this, and I typically wait 30min at most while a jeweler fixes it for ~$20. No big deal. Nobody was out front despite there being tools and jewelry sitting on the counter, but I heard a guy in the back on the phone with someone so I waited it out. 15min later, this guy was still on the phone loudly cursing and reliving his glory days in the 60's. Tried yelling to get his attention to no avail, so eventually just banged one of the instruments strewn on the counter on a piece of metal to get him out there. I had my wife and kids waiting in the car and thus couldn't afford to wait and listen any longer. Keep in mind I am in a jewelry store by myself with merchandise sitting on the counter (LOL). Explained what I needed, and upon reply the jeweler clearly didn't listen to a damned thing I said. First he wanted me to leave it with no explanation, then he talked about going somewhere special to get a new bail, and then talked through how complicated this very simple task was and hard it would be to fix. He then asked me if I wanted to spend $50. My answer was of course no, seeing as the whole necklace cost ~$100 and that would've be 2x what I've ever paid. His response then was to push me back the necklace and say that he "couldn't do anything for less than $50". $50 for what exactly, getting off his butt? Because he wanted to try and gouge for probably one of the simplest things you could ask a jeweler to do? Fuck that. He was incredulous. If you can't handle simple things like this, why would I ever spend real money with you? What a pompous, out of touch and stupid response. Not sure if I dealt with an owner or not, but who ever it was needs to retire if he can't handle simple customer requests in between talking to his 'friends'.

When we got engaged, my husband surprised me with a gorgeous CUSTOM engagement ring he designed with Eduardo!! I can't tell you how absolutely gorgeous my ring is and how special it is to me, more so because he designed it personally, so there is none other like it anywhere. My husband isn't artistic, but he was able to look through models, choose one he liked, and make tweaks and adjustments until he knew I'd love it. The diamonds are high quality and shine brilliantly! The designs on the bands are flawless. This is not a mall, chain store where you're going to see much of the same old ordinary thing, you will see on everybody. But if you want the trendy stuff, he has that too. We also bought my husband's band. Plenty of styles to choose from, he got something unique and very "him". My husband's ring size guess was a little off so we had to get some slight sizing done. It was smooth and easy, I dropped it off and got it back in an hour. Eduardo suggested a specific (and easy) type of modification that was better than stressing the ring through resizing. It fit perfectly. Great service! I was so impressed with the ring customization program he has in his store! You can literally make ANYTHING you want! We decided I would get to design my wedding band. I got to make it exactly what I wanted, adding a little more bling to the band, but still perfectly matching and complimenting the engagement ring. It was such a fun part of the wedding process, sitting together in front of the computer with my (then, future) husband figuring out what we wanted, all smiles. I just really enjoyed the whole process. It went smoothly, and the ring was ready ahead of schedule! I have to comment on Eduardo also. It is obvious how much pride he takes in his work, store, and especially in his trade. You will see he has a workshop in the store where he creates beautiful works of jewelry art and has the tools to repair and replace whatever might come up, truly an expert. You are not nickeled and dimed for every service, because perfection and your satisfaction is a big part of his overall goal. Very professional and organized. Not only all that, but he's a pretty cool guy. We ended up spending a lot of time there, and he's just a great person to talk with. I am currently 8 months pregnant, one day I put my ring on and it just wouldn't come off that night. Waited a day, ring wouldn't move and my finger was swollen. It was so frustrating. We tried everything and I was devastated because it was obvious we'd have to cut it off and soon because it was causing my finger to swell more. Called Eduardo and he told us he'd be ready asap for us. We were there in an hour and he started to work immediately. He had to cut it off, but he assures me, he'll repair it and I'll never know the difference!! I am confident that it'll be just as perfect when I get it back, maybe just a size bigger ;)
