He applied for a third party payment plan in their office, but before any treatment was performed, he canceled because the cost was simply too high. The office is now trying to charge a 15% cancellation/restocking fee based on an approximately $1,800 procedure that he never had done. On top of that, additional services were added that he never signed for, and the only document he did sign even had his name misspelled. When I spoke with the front desk, instead of helping resolve the issue, I was met with arguments, even with a customer present. I was told it could take up to six months to cancel the financing, but when I contacted the financing company directly, they told me it could be canceled within about 30 days if the dental office agrees to the cancellation with no issues. Fast and easy. It makes no sense to be charged a significant fee for treatment that was never performed

Fortunately he took me seriously and pulled it. 4 stars because it was my first wisdom tooth extraction (no stitches), and I was sent out the door with only a printed piece of paper of basic instructions. Didn't even know I needed a syringe to get food out (when to use it), what to look out for in the hole to know if it's healing properly, etc. Despite the lack of information, the dentist and staff were really nice, & the appointment times are surprisingly decent. Although he can't pull one of my other wisdom teeth because of how bad it is, I might return to get at least the other two done.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a dentist please avoid Dr. Kappel Family Dentistry!! I'm so mad at myself for not walking away with the first red flag of them breaking my tooth during a cleaning and making me pay out of pocket for it to be fixed. Fast forward to other procedures they did on me, I had a horrible cavity in one of my molars and requested for them to take it out and they told me I was to young to have my teeth pulled but I knew what I wanted and didn't mind because it was a molar that nobody would be able to see.. anyway, they went ahead and started the procedure to put a crown over it however due to the big cavity I had they never cleaned it up or anything just put my crown over it and sent me on my way.. they started this procedure August 4th and had me come back FOUR different times for them to try to get my crown to fit correctly and finally the last time they told me they had "special glue" that would work for it and wouldn't cause it issues.. when all was said and done I got my permanent crown from them August 26th and it still was not fitting correctly. Last Friday my mouth started to throb while at work and I didn't think anything of it lost my appetite and did not drink much water or anything throughout the entire weekend. I went to work Monday and felt a little worse with the throbbing so I called the same dentist and tried getting in and told them I was a little soar and was swollen on the same side they did my procedure. I was supposed to go in the next day but woke up puking, had shivers/hot flashes and wasn't able to keep anything down so I ended up in the ER Tuesday night. The next morning I went to that same dentist and all they did was prescribed an antibiotic to fight the infection I thought they'd at least take the crown off and see what was under it as it literally felt like it was going to explode in my mouth! They didn't.. I came home went to bed that night and woke up the next morning with my mouth swollen even worse so I reached out to a different dentist that got me in for a consultation the same day (yesterday) and was able to get me in today for an emergency root canal to stop the infection and relieve some of my pain.. they were so nice and walked me through every little step they were about to do before they did it. My swelling is already going down because they took the time to care and actually help me out. Sorry for the long post.. but I hope everyone looks more into who they allow to work on their teeth! I drove all the way to the dentist today traumatized from this dentist that worked on my teeth.. Arrived at the new one and everyone welcomed me with open arms today even when I was sobbing to them about not wanting the procedure to hurt.. I have NEVER cried going to a dentist but I did today because of my last experience at this dental office.

My grandson kept his mouth open the whole time and when prompted opened wider . Then DR Pain came in and did not even introduce himself. He just kept asking if i have any questions. He proceeded to do the exam on my grandson and i guess the dr was in a rush as he yanked my grandsons mouth open to look at the back of his mouth. He proceeded to aggressively bush on the vitamins to his teeth. What kind of vitamins ? obviously if its a vitamin i can purchase it over the counter. My grandson had an overall okay experience except for the dentist. I thought this was a kids dental clinic which catered to children and were compassionate and gentle . Not this DR. The rest of the experience was good. Front desk, games and ice-cream after told not to brush for 8 hours.

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to review "Texas Kids Dental Care" Let's…read morebegin with we are a Military family who moves lots and the first time we were in Fort Bliss we found out that whomever was my child's dentist 1. was not part of our network and 2. didn't have a specialist in house. So, to avoid having to pay extra for services and going to different locations for care we were referred to "Texas Kids Dental Care" (their east location off of Joe Battle) and we were perplexed by their facility. From that moment on, both my child and I loved going to the dentist. Then, the military moved us to a different state and every time we visited a dentist we couldn't stop thinking about "Texas Kids Dental Care" So, we came back to Fort Bliss (El Paso) and we were originally referred to a different dentist and we highly disliked it. Then, I called this new location near Sunland Park and was happy to know they were accepting new patients. Let me tell you why Texas Kids Dental Care Rocks... 1. Their staff is Happy and their costumer Service reflects it 100% 2. Quality Care, 3. Massage Chairs in the waiting area 4. Water, Ice Cream, popcorn, cookies is always offered 5. The waiting area consists of: Carrousel, Theater, play area, tablets, and free large arcade. 6. During service, kids have TVs on the ceiling where they can watch their favorite movies. Yup, at this point I don't understand how can the rest of the nation has not yet moved to this rocking dental experience. They also have partnered with an Orthodontist and offer orthodontist work. Don't go anywhere else!

Jackie called me back and basically told me to hightail-it to the office because my symptoms did sound good, especially with a red rash like showing from my jawline. After the exam, Dr.Khan said I had a major root infection spreading in a tooth that was already damaged... and it needed to come out. Showed me the x-rays and I agree with her 100%. The young lady expressed they took the review and used it to update and try to change their practices. I can respect and appreciate someone calling to ask questions provide feedback and even send me free cleaning kits. I communicated with the awesome lady and we both agreed that the practices for billing may not be awesome but are protocol. I as a former soldier and a government employee and understand and respect this. What is enlightening and refreshing is that the review was read, reviewed, investigated, and used to attempt to make improvements and changes. We learn by trial and error. This is true to both company and customer. I am not one to bash anyone and even more so give respect and credit where due. The young lady who called was professional concerned and absolutely user friendly with explaining the miscommunication and delivery of message.
