Such a terrible experience. The older gentleman started doing my full set. It was clear he had no real experience. He used old dirty tools that didn't work properly. They were saying how dark I am and being extremely racist towards me, not even knowing I'm part of their own race. Just constantly making fun of how dark I am and comparing to the African American woman that sat next to me. She had left when I was getting started so I could only imagine the things they said about her. I've been coming here for three years, my mom has been coming here for more than 20. We are not coming back anymore! Not only did they talk shit about skin colors but they made fun of characteristics about it, like noses. Nice service, horrible people. Worst manicure I've ever gotten. I've never had a manicure where they don't apply lotion or oil afterwards and just leave dust and nail polish on my fingertips AND my clothes. My cuticles didn't get cut or anything and I paid $50 just for a REGULAR mani and pedi. I don't know the lady's name that did my nails she was older than the rest of the staff. She was rude to me didn't acknowledge me only tried to upsell me, and she rushed. I could not understand why she was so rude it left me in an extremely terrible mood. After she was done she just left went to another client without saying anything. I waited to see if she was done because she didn't lotion or put oil or offer to help find my shoes. I used to come here for a simple mani and pedi. Abandoned this place for many months trying to find new nail salons to try out. This place gets packed even before it opens! Anywho 3 weeks ago I went to a "hot & new" nail salon and got full set I was not too happy with the job that I overpaid for. So today I thought I'd come back to Star because I recall they have such a good selection from colors to crystals. It was time for a fill. I didn't have an appointment so I came right at opening (9am). Sure enough it was already packed as usual but worth's wait. I met Derick for the first time Ana's right away I could tell he knew how to do some nails. He completely revamped my nails and my fill trumped my initial full set I got done at the other place.
