Smog check was $39.75 and if it passes they add $8.25 so that would be $48 total. That's the cheapest I could find in the small amount of time I had. Place looked sketchy and next to a gas station that I couldn't even tell if it was open or not lol. It's only one man working there. He takes the calls, handles the payments and what's under the hood. Kudos to him! There was only one person in front of me but he was just finishing up with them. Then it was my turn, I showed him the coupon and honestly he didn't care for it lol. Dude was in motion, barely any small talk. Fine for me cus I wanted to be in and out! He didn't take long at all. Just told me $48 and since I paid with card they charge an extra dollar or in my case, 99 cents lol. Not bad! He literally only took 10 mins or less. There's a beat up couch I sat on but he does have a little heater in the small wait room for us to keep warm. Got my certificate and receipt and went on with my day. I did the right thing and came here the next day and they were able to help me out right away. Here's a difference; when you go to a smog shop, you can ask them to run a quick check using a very simple computer to see if the emissions are ready for testing. It doesn't cost them anything. That's what these guys did after I explained, that the truck had been sitting for a while, and they very quickly told me it wasn't ready for emissions to drive it a few more miles and then come back and it would give me a coupon. The Cummins diesel oil filter can be tricky, you can only access the filter through the passenger-side fender well. On these trucks, you really have to know what you're doing, right front tire has to be removed to properly access the fender-well opening and extract the oil filter.
