I'm not a Starbucks connoisseur. I don't like PSL and rarely go there unless I have gift cards. Now, I do like their app and the ease of ordering and paying and picking up with their app. Why doesn't everyone use this?! I usually get the green tea, or maybe a hot drink if it's cold out. Every once in a while if I'm feeling super sluggish I will order an espresso drink with extra shots. Don't judge my caffeine addiction please! Everyone is always nice and polite and friendly so I do appreciate that as I'm sure they get some crazy orders from crazy people. If I go in it's just to pick up my drink but the inside seems pleasant as well. There's a new barista at this location that wasn't here when I made my original review - he is the nicest - most chipper barista , acts as if nothing is too much of a hassle and just overall acts like he wants to be there and do his job well . He is always so welcoming , and willing to assist . When I go as soon as I hear his voice at the window I know it'll be a good visit . This is definitely not my favorite Starbucks location but it's closest to home. I've been here several times now and the service is NOT friendly unless it's one of the guys. The ladies are not warm or welcoming here at all. I always order the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and honestly it's not consistent. I guess it depends on who is making it. Today it was served without the pumpkin spice dusting on top of the cream. I didn't notice until I drove away. That really completes this drink so it's not the same without it. Bummer. But sometimes it's not a pumpkin "cream" cold foam at all - it's more of a liquid instead of a cream. Maybe it's a pain to make it so that's why I get less than stellar drinks at times. But customer service goes a long way. A simple "good morning" or "welcome to Starbucks" or even a smile (gasp) would be appreciated. You'd expect stuck-up workers in certain neighborhoods like River Oaks but this is Alvin so I don't get it. I will probably continue coming to this location for now because it is the closest one to me. But hopefully, they'll build a location even closer. Or at least on my way to work. read more

When the barista, Jada, handed me my hot latte, I asked if I could please have it iced instead, she was so kind, like it was no problem at all. Went through the drive-through to order something for my dog. When I asked the girl what she had, that was good and small that I could give my dog, she informed me that she could not give me any food. What kind of person would assume we were there asking for free food? The Alvin location sure has some dumb people working there. After informing her that I was paying for food for my dog, I asked her for a suggestion. She suggested egg bites. So I ordered them and asked her not to heat them up & that the dog could eat them cold. They came so hot that I had to let them sit for a few minutes before the dog could eat them. My question is what the hell is in their food? She enjoys old garbage almost daily, and the occasional culinary treat of dead decaying animal that she happens to drag up. She eats everything but these Starbucks egg bites made her throw her guts up violently. If you witnessed the disgusting stuff this dog eats you would probably come to the conclusion that Starbucks is poisonous. I will never return.... read more

The past few nights I've came to work on homework the music changes at about 7pm to Screamo/rock music on the loudest setting. This is supposed to be a place where people can come to work or do homework but it's almost impossible when when you have scremo music blaring all around you. I camped out at this location about 3 times a week to get some studying done along with some leisurely reading over the past month or so. Overall very pleased with this particular shop. They offer a drive-thru service, which I haven't seen too often in a starbucks. Every single employee I've interacted with was very nice, professional and helpful. What really pleased me about this spot however - which led me to stop dead in my tracks of studying - was that one particular night they played a Stromae song! 'Tous Les Memes' to be exact. GREAT SONG! I highly doubt any of the workers or guests knew who they were listening to, but the fact they had it tuned to a station that would play such a talented artist gets major kudos from this guy (two thumbs pointing at me). This is the most unfriendly Starbucks I have ever been too. I went to this Starbucks on 10/27/19 around 5:30 pm . I ordered my drink online to pick up . The barista made it cold even though I chose Hot coffees . I wasn't upset about that though . I was upset at how dismissive she was . She didn't apologize or anything . When I said I wanted it hot she didn't even acknowledge me . I asked for the banana nut bread I ordered and she got it handed it to me and I said thank you and she again did not acknowledge me . She was so rude !!!! It wasn't even busy in there. I really wish the afternoon shift was as nice as the morning shift . The coffee was fair but the service is horrible at this location!!! It's a normal Starbucks but with decent seating and a great selection of food and drinks. I wish they would get a couch and some comfy chairs to relax in though. Ok so I'm over this location the people here just aren't that good yes there is a few but when you come multiple times all the time and every time you get a hot drink you have to ask for a sleeve or the drink just taste terrible it's ridiculous never have I been to a Starbucks that has messed up more times then I can remember . And it's usually the same crew all the time morning and eve time and when you ask for a sleeve it's not just like here you it's more like ughhhh are serious fine here . I travel often and go to many different Starbucks locations. This one is hands down the best. I am one of those weirdos who orders the same drink every time but it has a lot of components. Can I give this place a - 1 review? I ran in cause the drive thru had a line of 5. No one was in line to order :) I ordered, ran to the ladies room, then stood there while all the drive thru people were serviced.. And.. A friend of an employee placed an order and received her drink (who ordered way after me) before me. I asked if they forgot my drink. I was told I was up next. Wtf???
