I've been wanting to try Red Oak Cafe for a while…read more I love their back story and Christian theme. My friend & fellow elite and I arrived on a Saturday around 11AM and didn't have to wait for a table. I had the Big Breakfast which includes 2 pancakes. They have so many different mix-ins for their pancakes, anyone's bound to find their perfect mix-in combo. I think I found mine with the banana pecan mix-ins and sides of strawberry butter. The pancakes are huge. I ended up taking one home. The bananas weren't too sweet and had the perfect amount of ripeness for the pancakes. I ended up getting 2 sides of strawberry butter but could've easily eaten like four of the small . The biscuit with the big breakfast was fluffy and delicious especially with the yummy strawberry butter. The eggs over medium were cooked perfectly. The cheddar jalapeno grits were a little bland but did the trick. I tried my pal's hash browns and they were perfectly seasoned and thoroughly cooked but not crispy. The hash browns are definitely the better option over the grits. The bacon was delicious and perfectly crispy. I asked the waiter for crispy but not burnt bacon and he got it just right. The restaurant was warm and inviting. The waiter was super personable and helpful. I felt like I was at breakfast Disneyland. I was able to get anything I wanted with no problem and with the kindest most helpful attitude from the waiter. I look forward to returning!

Upon driving in, I thought I was lost because it is located right next door to Dillon's Liquor (so don't fret! You are at the right place lol). Walking in I was immediately shocked by how spacious it is for a donut place lol. Definitely somewhere you can hang around if that is your vibe. On a Sunday afternoon, there was no line so I got to ask about all the menu options. They have all the classics, as well as more unique donut shop items like croissant sandwiches and boudain kolaches! Me and my friends tried the brisket kolache, the giant kolache, the sausage, egg, and cheese croissants, and the glazed donuts of course. In terms of the giant kolache, it wasn't exactly giant but still SO GOOD! The brisket kolache was super filling and is honestly enough meat to call it a sandwich! (Butt it is in kolache bread, so its a kolache). The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious too. The donuts were also good, they are more on the airy side which is how I like mine personally. Overall, it is a greattt local business, and I'm excited to get to know the rest of the menu!

I was sitting thinking about a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese with mayo. So I start…read moreperusing door dash and stumble upon Dillon Donuts. I've never had them before and I'm super leery about getting donuts from a new place because it's hit or miss with donuts and breakfast food. Keep in mind, I was using DoorDash so it's not like I could look at it and the food and decide for myself. The food arrived within 12 mins of me placing the order, it was hot and delicious. The bacon was a sweet smoky bacon, so if you don't like sweet bacon get something with sausage. The sandwich had 3 pieces of bacon and they weren't fatty or limp. Anyway the donut was also delicious- soft and sugary. My only complaint is there were no napkins.. so I had my delicious, greasy croissant with bacon, egg and cheese and no napkins.. and a sugary donut with no napkins. I made do with my Kleenex and hand sani at my desk, but it would have been better if they sent a few napkins.
