I was not informed of any sort of wait time and generally expect the service at a cafe to be a little quicker than, let's say, a sit-down restaurant. After the last person in my group finished ordering, we learned that the waiter informed him that sandwiches will have a 40 minute wait time. After all the rest of us ordered and paid, unknowing of this ridiculously long wait. When the food finally came out, it was a much smaller portion than I expected for the price. I'm not sure what took so long, if the oven/toaster was broken or something, but I'm not sure why that would've stalled the preparation of my COLD chicken salad sandwich like the bread wasn't even toasted from what I could tell. +2 stars because the person making the drinks was ON FIRE, tossing them out left and right! She was awesome and the latte was the highlight of my experience and the only thing that kept me sane while waiting. The staff behind the counter, while friendly, seemed distracted by each other and were honestly just lollygagging around when it looked like they could've been assembling sandwich ingredients. It was like being in purgatory honestly. Don't mean to be dramatic but it was like just a pretty disappointing experience with everything this place could potentially offer. Notes of roasted earth and faint sweetness did reveal themselves with each sip, as though the beans had been blessed by the Archbishop himself. It warmed both hand and spirit, making even the dreariest morn seem worthy of song. Thus do I proclaim The Blend Coffee Bar to be a house of uncommon mastery. Should thou seek potions brewed with care rather than haste, cast aside thy allegiance to lesser coffee merchants and make pilgrimage henceforth. As a result of that review, I spoke with Christina, who manages the shop. She was genuinely sincere, apologized for the issues, and assured me that things were going to change. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. On Friday, July 10, at approximately 9:30 a.m., I visited the shop again. I was the fifth person in line, looking at my phone, when I heard the first customer being told they had no coffee. He immediately walked out. The next two customers ordered iced tea. The fourth customer, who was directly in front of me, ordered two cups of coffee. I clearly heard the employee tell him there was no coffee available and that he would have to wait 5 to 10 minutes. Although he was obviously frustrated, he agreed to wait and took a seat. When it was my turn, I asked the cashier if I had heard correctly that there was currently no coffee. She confirmed they were about to brew a fresh pot. I pointed out that five customers had already been in line and that this was a coffee shop with no coffee available. After already turning away one customer and asking another to wait, only then were they starting a new pot? The cashier responded with an attitude, saying, "You'll just have to wait 5 to 10 minutes." This is exactly what I discussed with Christina months ago. I simply do not understand how a coffee shop can repeatedly run out of coffee. At a minimum, there should always be another pot brewing or ready so customers are not left waiting 5 to 10 minutes after placing an order. That is poor planning and poor customer service. It is clear that nothing has changed since my conversation with Christina. I asked if either Christina or Dan, the other manager, was available, and I was told there were no managers on duty. At that point, I walked out. I cannot recommend spending your time or money at a coffee shop that repeatedly fails to have coffee available. It would be like going to a grocery store with no groceries. If a business specializes in coffee, customers should reasonably expect coffee to be available.

It wasn't bad, just kind of middle of the road and not something I would go out of my way to order again. Service was also a bit on the slow side, even though it did not seem overly busy. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you are in a hurry. Overall, it is a solid spot with a great atmosphere. I would come back to try something else on the menu and see if it lands better.

We also tried the powerd toast ( peanut butter, fresh banana granola and chia seeds. Both was super yummy and the coffee was just delicious. A few things to note - ample parking. There is tap water and glasses for the table available by the drinks. You can order from the front touch screen order tablet or from a human ( I prefer placing my orders at the counter with a human). I also noted that they have really cute booths with power outlets so you can definitely bring your laptop and work there. Be careful though..... the pastries look amazing. BUT.... I saw they have healthier options like yogurt bowls with fruit ( also going to try next time I go). Give this place a try - you will definitely be glad you did!
