For some reason, I associated Leesburg as a rural area with not much going on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This fancy coffee shop was an unexpected surprise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] W&OD trail is a few feet away you can see the sign from the cafe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was quite hipster.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A good amount of seats inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was crowded in the morning but they had enough staff take care of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got my cortado in like 2 minutes despite the amount of people in line. They work fast. The cortado I got was okay. It's not something I'd drive to Leesburg for. My friend said the matcha latte is good. The breakfast other people were having looked great. Parking wasn't easy. I had to get past all the new apartment buildings and park at Market Station and walked a block. Drinks were delicious, pastries, however had a processed texture and taste. I'd bypass the Pain Chocolate (Chocolate Croissant) the next time. $27 including tip, for a latte, hot chocolate and two pain chocolatés is step when you toss most of the pastry. I was very disappointed with my experience last week. The menu clearly states that the Austin Breakfast Tacos order includes (2) tacos. Based on that description, I ordered two tacos. I did not order four tacos, nor did I ask for two separate orders. I simply ordered the item as it was described on the menu. Unfortunately, the cashier entered my order incorrectly and charged me for two orders instead of one. As a result, I was charged for and received four tacos when I had only ordered two. I did not realize the mistake until after I had already paid and received the food. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was very disappointed that no refund was offered, even though the mistake was not mine. The menu clearly shows that one order includes two tacos, and I ordered exactly what was listed. Because of this error, I paid significantly more than I intended and ended up with extra food that I did not want or need. Much of it went to waste, which was frustrating considering that the situation could have been easily resolved. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a business responds when they occur. In this case, I did not feel that the issue was handled fairly. I recommend that customers carefully review their receipt before leaving the register and confirm exactly how their order is being entered. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression on me. read more

Great breakfast at Goosecup this morning! First, the staff was very attentive and the space is really nice. Definitely a cool vibe to it and would be a place I'd frequent regularly if I lived in the area. Started off with a drip coffee which was perfectly brewed and was piping hot. My wife ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and raved about it. Good way to start off! I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich and added bacon and tomato. I really liked them however the sandwiches were lukewarm. I understand they were busy however food should be served hot not lukewarm. Such a cute coffee shop in Leesburg. Immediately as I walked in, I was impressed by how beautiful it was inside. We weren't sure what to get so we started with a cocktail and sandwich. Just something light. I liked the cocktail, but my husband said it lacked the yuzu flavor it had listed. Unfortunately the few items I wanted to try were unavailable because they ran out of mushrooms. So we ended up getting a prosciutto and stracciatella cheese sandwich. The space is nice, though there could be a better waiting area after having ordered. I went with an iced mocha and the Austin breakfast tacos. The coffee was good. It's mild, light chocolate backend flavor, and unsweetened. The breakfast tacos had a nice flavor/ingredients, though they felt a little skimpy for the price. I gave them a shot knowing the price, $14 for 2 tacos, and though I enjoyed them, they definitely are $7 a piece tacos. My wife had a dirty chai and a breakfast sandwich. Though equally pricey, the sandwich was a bit more substantial. A lovely spot, tasty food and coffee, but it also didn't seem like $50+ for what we ordered was worth it. This place is absolutely a gem offering both great coffee creations, wine and cocktails oh and also mini bites. Here I am with your yogurt bowl review! TBH -- I like Goosecup. There's not really another nice coffee shop in the area. But their yogurt bowl was ... not good. The yogurt itself -- runny and flavorless. The granola was the cheapest possible granola they could have chosen. I've been to a lot of coffee shops, and usually they have a nice spiced granola with seeds and texture. This one was literally just honey oats that were way too sweet. Coming from Seattle, it's so difficult to find good espresso when visiting family near DC. I always get a plain latte without any syrups or additives, and I think that entitles me to judge the coffee quite well and say they have the best espresso I've had in Virginia, and dare I say within an hour of DC! This is a great coffee spot in downtown Leesburg. It's basically right off the W&OD trail making it convenient for bike riders. The staff is very friendly. The menu is pretty consistent but at times has new additions. Everything is really tasty. They have a large open interior seating area with a similar sized patio. They usually sell local flowers on the outdoor patio. If feeling up to it, you could grab the food/coffee to go and sit in the park along the W&OD trail. I love Scandinavian style cafés and this one didn't disappoint! The tall ceilings, large windows, and light color scheme make it feel bright and spacious despite the constant crowd of people flowing in and out. It's a bit noisy but I think it's still a nice study spot (mostly for lighter studying/busy work but the wifi is very reliable). I tried a dirty chai and a sip of their matcha latte. The chai was deliciously spiced and rich, whilst the matcha latte was a bit watered down. The egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches are fluffy and light which I really enjoyed. The chocolate croissant is everything you'd expect from a nice quality croissant. I preferred the apple danish more, but I do wish there was more apple filling. I liked both pastries, but I'd be more interested in trying their other pastries at my next visit! read more
