The worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I have been here 6 times, and they have only gotten my order right once. Twice, my requested cappuccino has been a caramel macchiato. Once, my requested cappuccino has been a cappuccino with blonde espresso, which I did not request. Once my requested cappuccino has been a vanilla latte. Once, my requested shaken espresso with no sweetener was received with all of the sweeteners that I asked them to exclude. Once I requested egg white bites and received bacon and egg bites. My butter croissant today is stale and I had to swap out the caramel macchiato that I received for the cappuccino that I ordered. I always have to request a sleeve from the very unpleasant baristas. I dropped in this past Sunday for a cappuccino. There were people sitting at tables inside and outside. The guy took my order and then 2 minutes later informed me in an angry tone that they were actually closed, but they would go ahead and make my beverage anyway. He could have just told me that when he took the order. The barista was throwing me dirty looks and I had to request a sleeve from her, but it's the only time that they actually got my order right. read more

I placed an order through the drive-thru and ordered two sandwiches and refreshers for $22.68. I gave the barista $102.68 and clearly said the amount I was giving to avoid confusion. When I was giving the barista my money, she gave me the wrong change back, which was $71. She gave me change in mostly fives and ones. I told her that I received the wrong change and should have gotten back $80. She asked the manager to come over and he gave me $73, instead of $80. I ended up going back into the store and said that I still received the wrong amount of change. He started counting it in front of me but miscounted. When I asked him if I could get back $80 in twenty dollar bills, he said "I'll get you your twenties." He came back and gave me the change. I said "Thank you so much", but he didn't say a word. I love the open concept of that newer Starbucks and this location is no exception!!! Even though this location has been open for a while and I've hit the drive thru a few times, yet this was my first time actually inside. The interior is lovely!!! A more modern concept is taking over the newer location. Bigger pictures, comfy large chairs and a unique aspect in each location. Plenty of seating and the floor is not overcrowded with merch. If you ever drop in for coffee grounds fir your garden, this location has them right by the front door, just FYI that's not a small silver trash can lol. There is also generous outdoor seating in front of the location. The baristas were friendly and customer service was swell. Ordering was a breeze and the wait was minimal for my Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade with no Dragonfruit inclusion. read more

This is my favorite local Starbucks. I literally pass 4 Starbucks because the service and attention here is worth it. I started coming here about a year ago and fell in love As of recently the hours have been a little wonky because of labor shortages I assume but nonetheless when they are open they are great. If my drink is ever incorrect they remake it or adjust it. Everyone smiles and is kind. Including the manager who you will frequently see working side by side with the baristas. He made my drink earlier this week. I HAVE to shoutout Mercedes and Henry! My two favorite baristas They both know my order by heart and go out of their way to smile, and speak to me. Very glad One Loudoun has a coffee shop input. A bit perturbed that it's a Starbucks which is popping up everywhere in Loudoun arrgghhh! I will give the new locations credit for installing taps for cold brew coffee on tap and the cozy atmospheres of plush sofas and chairs along with a bar table top with plugin outlets for electronics. Way to adapt to the evolvement of people's electronic needs and addictions. Their coffee is what you'd expect: sweetness overload and caffeine overload. Probably explains why so many are addicted to their coffee. Be careful going in late, their pastry/sandwich display is pulled so hard to get hot foods. While I wish the place could've been a more independent/mom&pop/local spot for coffee & tea, they will do fine here. read more

I go out of my way to go to this Starbucks as it is apparently the only one on the planet that can make a iced sweet cream vanilla cold brew with the perfect blend of coffee and sweet cream. The most consistent Starbucks I've been to, with generally good service. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that if you are inside the store and need help, the baristas sometimes act like they can't see you rather than asking if you need assistance, which is a pet peeve of mine. I just recently quit this establishment over a month ago. Now that I let my emotions settle, I need to share my thoughts on location and company. I started here when I was on the tail end of high school and now I am in my first year of college. On the contrary, this job is not for someone who cannot handle stress. Before I became a barista and frequented Starbucks, the job looked easy from the outside looking in. I've worked as a waitress at two different high volume restaurants and nothing compared to Starbucks. I have an outgoing and kind personality but found myself completely drained after working here. My second week of working, I was obi new and wasn't the fastest or most knowledgeable barista. I got put on bar after peak hours at 12pm. A lady comes up to me demanding her drink be remade. I said no problem and continued to remake it. After handing it off to her she proceeded to tell me "It is like all the baristas here are ret***ed" and storms off. I wasn't the one who made her drink, but even if I was, what an awful thing to say to someone. I have a brother who has special needs, it's very disheartening hearing that come from an elderly lady. A week or so after, we were short staffed on a double stars day. There was only 3 of us and if you don't know, we have 4 positions that need to be filled to function the store efficiently (it's really 6 but we need min 4 to run properly) Since I was still new, I was put on handing out/taking orders, one person on espresso bar, one person for front register and helping us. With mainly one person on bar, mobiles were behind by 16min. A car came up to the drive thru to tell me "this is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I've been in the drive thru for 5 minutes." I apologized and told him we were down on staff and trying our best, and even paid for his drinks. After handing out his first drink, he started calling me slurs because we weren't fast enough. I asked for a manager to handle it and she gave him a next one on us card. I understand being in customer service means being overly accommodating, however, I did not appreciate the disrespect and being called fat being rewarded. Another thing to consider is the location is low staffed. That probably should have been the first red flag when I started working there, finding out (5) people quit in the short time period of a month before I came. It's because of instances where grown adults lack basic human empathy and think of baristas as machines. I was told we get upwards of 900-1200+ customers a day, most come during our busy hours. My body can not physically be more than one person. Though some of the days I felt like I was. Running to take orders in drive thru to front register to food while getting yelled at for being slow. It's inhumane. I get you are tired and need your coffee. I'm sorry that in the early months of training I wasn't fast enough to keep up. However, I did what I could with a smile on my face. I did not deserve the treatment I received from management or customers. Not sure if the new hires who were training with me are still there. Though, with how the majority of the customers and how management antagonizes new hires a week in for not being fast enough, they likely scared them off. Which is ironic that there's comments complaining about low staffing and slow service when simply being kind goes a long way. There's many more stories of a customer who threw their drink at me, an elderly customer sexually harassing a 16yr old barista, a customer screaming at me about a drink that was already called out and in front of them. If you get anything out of this, please let it be to show kindness. I get it's frustrating to wait, I do. It's not an excuse for grown adults to act like children because they can't be patient. If in any way you want to call my review childish or want to say that I'm complaining about customer service. Then you are a part of the problem. Most of the staff are young age high school college students. Imagine it if was your son or daughter being told they are idiots/fat/ret****d/slow/bit***s or having things thrown at them over COFFEE. You are being disrespectful and rude over COFFEE. I mentioned I was a waitress and a darn good one at it. I only quit bc I moved here from Texas. I know and love customer service and am actually still in the business right now. Never have I ever had such a negative experience with people until I started working there. read more

I really like the location at One Loudoun. It's easy to get in and out of. Plenty of parking. Service is great and there are no excessive displays on the floor getting in the way of lines. Waited 15 minutes to not get our pike place coffee. Went back two days later and waited for ten minutes, while several people who came after us received their drinks and again they forgot our coffee. Went up to ask for our drink and the girl making drinks rolled her eyes and didn't say anything. My husband mentioned this happened the other day and again she said nothing, rolled her eyes and walked away. She was also rude to other guest, when they asked for their drinks. Great location and a friendly store. The set up here is different than many of the older Starbucks locations, and this is definitely better. If you like the Nitro Brew cold coffee they have a bar set up with the tap in front and a wrap around bar with lots of seating. Great service, great staff and a friendly manager. Hopefully this is the way all new Starbucks locations will look (if they have the space.) The drive through gets tons of service- and it's easy to see why with the main roads in Ashburn so close. All i have to say is Starbucks workers aren't always the best here i mean why wouldn't they its there temporary job but man i went in and met a gentleman named Bruno and i thought to myself are they trying improve their store? If they are they need more people like him he was so straightforward with me, got to know me, and in that process he said he stayed longer to help out the store. It's beautiful how people still care about other things than just themselves. A lot of the time i come here they not only don't put the cold foam on the drink they hand it over to me. Over time you don't want to spend good money on just not getting cold foam. Horrendous service. Drive through takes over 30 minutes to get through and it's not because of the amount of cars. It is because the employees are slow and completely disorganized. I visited this new branch a couple of times and I liked the service. But today I had a disappointing encounter with an incompetent cashier. I ordered coffee and a pastry that was not visible on the display counter. She, the cashier, told me she just sold the last one. So I substituted the pastry with another sweet and proceeded to pay except that I noticed my original pastry was there but on a different shelf. I asked her to swap the one i paid for with the one i want that was supposed to be sold out. She looked annoyed but I insisted. Now the pastry that I want is cheaper so I was entitled to a refund. She ignored me and focused on the next customer. So I said what about the price. She was dismissive. I did not see her name tag but it was Sunday around 3pm. I usually really like this location. This morning I went through the drive through and asked for a cold brew, no ice, no water. As I am given my drink at the window I see there is ice and politely tell the young man I asked for no ice, no water. He was kind and of course took it back. I overhear a young woman tell him to just go scoop the ice out, at which I interrupted and mentioned I didn't want water. She responds by abruptly telling me "we don't put water in our cold brew". Funny, I've watched water and ice be added to their cold brew with my own eyes. Oh, and my water- I mean cold brew- tastes like... well, water! Disappointed. A mistake on a hot drink would have warranted a new drink for someone else, but it's easier to just give me my $3.66 grande water and lie to my face. My rating reflects how I feel personally about this location, and with many other options nearby, I will be skipping this store. Since I am leaving a review, however, I want to mention some positive aspects as well. Thank you to the gentleman who was working the drive through first of all! I can't fault for someone for being polite and professional while handling the situation to the best of his ability. One Loudoun is a nice location, the store is clean and well kept. The service is good and all that but I feel the drinks are not always that good being the coffee I got it warm and quickly gets cold because it's not hot it's like lukewarm and when I get a latte it's not extra hot it's warm like regular temperature so I don't know what they are doing different but really that's my only issue is stiff is not hot. Okay, so this is Starbucks. You know what you are getting when you go. It's heavy calories coffee like drinks with pop indie music playing in the background. Now if you want caffeine we all know Starbucks is basically the master of this along with marketing strategy. Everyone gets their panties in a twist over Unicorn traps, holiday cups, etc. I want to say this location is nice. The staff is super friendly and even though they probably put up with more than the middle aged suburban mom with the bobed hair cut who wants to talk to the manager. I have to say . This is a peaceful place to be for a quick snack and some remote work. More so than the neighboring Barnes and Nobels in my frank opinion. The smell of caffeine alone get me going but I apreciate the peacefulness of the space. Disclaimer I am not a huge Starbucks fan but I do consume a small/tall of their Pikes every now and then along with the ice cream in a cup that call a frappacciono.
