Horribly slow. Only people in line and we waited over 15 minutes to get our drinks with three people working. Ordered a Venti and they only filled it 3/4 of the way up (had to ask for them to add milk for so it could be full). They also got my husbands drink all wrong. I would hate to see this place busy because the two times we have been there they have been extremely slow! If you want some good coffee I recommend the looney bean a little further down on the same side. read more

Have to concur this is one of the slowest Starbucks in the universe. The coffee and drinks are very Starbucks, but if there is any kind of line you're doomed. One of the points of Starbucks is reasonably quick service. One other mixed blessing: this is one of the only places in Bishop to buy a real, paper edition of the Sunday New York Times (that is really nice) but half the time the staff never cuts the string on the bundle of papers, so if you don't bring your own knife you have to wait in line to ask for scissors, then wait in line again to pay. I know I'm a weirdo for reading a paper newspaper once a week, but please have your goods ready for your customers. read more

The Starbucks in Bishop, Ca. is the worst Starbucks I have visited. The main problem with the Bishop Starbucks is that at 11 am in the morning on a Thursday during the holidays they were practically out of all the food items on their menu. What is worse is that the employees admitted that they always run out of food, especially during the holidays. So...since they anticipate the crowds why not buy more??? Duh!! Worst Starbucks anywhere! They cannot even keep there outdoor area clean. Trashcan is always overflowing and windows filthy at 8:00 am. What is it like by noon? Instead of remodeling they should work on management and staff training. read more

Sadly this particular Starbucks gets the order wrong about half the times you use the drive through. For example today, I got a cup of black coffee instead of the latte that I ordered. Staff seem nice enough but it appears to be not the most well run Starbucks. read more

Not happy with this place at all and I wouldn't go through here ever again if I didn't have gift cards! I was freezing working yard duty out at the elementary school playground this morning. My husband stopped by with a tall Starbucks hot chocolate, it hit the spot and thawed me out. Good stuff! Have yet to try any sort of coffee from Starbucks, but I hear it's great. For you non-coffee drinkers, their hot cocoa is very good. This location just doesn't get the whole Starbuck's efficiency thing. At my first visit to this location I was told at the drive-through to "just hold on a minute." Who does that? After waiting 5 minutes I drove to the Starbuck's inside Von's. In all fairness I decided to give it another try. After waiting 10 minutes for my order (two drinks, both the same) the order was wrong. And because I have a three strikes rule I tried this location again last weekend. Because the "barista" knew the woman in line behind me her order was made before mine. Sorry Bishop Starbucks, but you need to up your customer service game. read more

Live in town, wait times for anything 20+ minutes, rude employees, I have never met a rude Starbucks employee until this store. Was told yesterday that I could not get ground coffee in the drive thru, really! I was at least 7 cars back and knowing how slow they are already. I didn't realize that was such a challenge. This was supposed to be a quick pit stop on the way home from Mammoth that ended up taking 40 minutes for two Americanos! After waiting 15 minutes with no progress in the drive through I tried walking in, only to wait another 20-25 minutes for two simple drinks. They came out totally different, one with barely any soy creamer and the other with way to much water. The two people in front of me got the wrong drinks entirely, and the staff seemed overly frazzled for 11 on a Sunday in a sleepy town. read more

We come here every morning when in town. Being this is the only Starbucks for 30 miles your stuck waiting for extremely slow sluggish service. The place is always packed and the drive thru line seems to take priority over the guests inside. The workers (aging staff) don't hustle and get drinks out like most Starbucks do. Management needs to come order a drink and see how much they like waiting 25 minutes for your order. Not to mention one of our drinks was made wrong on this particular visit. read more

I am not a fan of Starbucks and when I am at home I will not got to them. However, I was very pleased that they were open at 5:30 AM (I was there in October) which provided me my much needed caffeine fix. Also on all 4 visits during this trip the workers were extremely friendly and service oriented. read more

WORST place ever!!! I only gave one star because yelp makes you! We decided to do the drive thru! Big mistake we waited 15 minutes for coffee! And the only reason we waited was because we were stuck in line! I finally had to get out of my car and see what was going on! When I went inside there was no line and only couple customers sitting . They had 5 employees working yet it was taking forever! I asked to speak to the manager but he was to busy to come and talk to me and I was not going to wait any longer! Finally they gave us half off for our order but honestly that was over paying for such poor service! A month ago they ran out of black tea and today they are out of Trente cups. So instead I get a Venti that looks like the size of a grande. I also realized later it's not a Starbucks cup and so it's not a Venti, this cups half the size of the Trente. Someone is slacking on keeping items in stock. read more

My favorite coffee purveyor ever - not just because the coffee tastes like coffee (listen up, Looney Bean) - because they have the best staff in the world. They notice when I haven't been there for awhile, even though I only come in once or twice a week. They bring me water for my service dogs. They bring my coffee to me if I've been able to snag one of the big comfy chairs. And they bought me coffee when one of my dogs died, and when someone hassled me over the handicapped parking space. This Starbucks is light and airy and has the best atmosphere, too. No wonder my husband calls it The Mother Ship. read more

The guy at the register must be new. The line wasn't moving at all for about ten minutes. Then when we finally got to the front he wasn't listening to us very well while we were ordering. I asked for a venti green tea sweetened with peach and he let me know that they only had black tea green tea and passion tea. I clarified that I said green tea with peach sweetener. My boyfriend ordered an iced coffee sweetened with no room. Both of our drinks were close but not accurate. His coffee wasn't sweetened and my tea had classic instead. I don't know if they just don't have peach or what but I would have ordered something else if that was the case. Overall, very disappointed. Had almost no breakfast items in stock at 9am. Everything we wanted to order was out so when deciding to get whatever they had left one of our orders wasn't sent over to be made and by time we realized it was given to someone else's order and of course it was last one of those items. Then asked for whatever breakfast sandwich was left and order was never made. Just ended up leaving after paying for an item we never got and tipping (since u do that at the counter) to staff who didn't once apologize. I've worked customer service my whole life so I get when things are beyond your control but this was definitely the worst Starbucks experience ever, and we frequent Starbucks often.
