Christmas morning 2025, 8:30 AM. I'm the only customer in the store, standing at the counter waiting for some service. There are five people behind the counter working the drivethru, chatting, making drinks. Nobody seems to see me there despite my 6'2" 200 pound frame and bright red flannel shirt. A young couple enters the store and walks up to the counter. Immediately they are recognized and served, while I've been standing there for five minutes. I calmly ask the worker attending this couple, "You don't see me standing here?" She is stunned silent, has no idea what to say. All of a sudden the woman half of this couple decides to enter the conversation. "You f--ing rude piece of s---!" I don't even turn my head. I just calmly say, "I'm not talking to you." "I don't give a f---! You're f---ing rude!." I give the worker my order, pay, include a large tip (to keep them from messing with the order), and sit down. The couple orders and as they walk past me, the man half of the couple looks down at me in my seat. "Merry Christmas" he utters in his most ironic tone of voice. You can't make this stuff up. My family comes here often and it's usually great except with two certain managers (one named Ana); no greetings, no one is smiling and somehow our orders are always wrong in some sort of way. Today my daughter and I ordered 1 drink each on the app since ordering at the register has brought on mistakes with Ana. My daughter got her drink in a couple minutes but I had to wait 12 minutes to get my drink (while she just stared at me) -- with no one in the store and 1 car in drive through... worst part is my drink was made regular milk instead of oat milk as requested in the order. Being lactose intolerant this is a huge let down. Luckily there was another barista on bar who was able to help me and made my drink in less than 4 min. read more

I am a junior in high school and I come in almost every week day before school and the vibes are immaculate, especially when I come in and order in person and get to see/talk my favorite workers. I came on the first day they opened. The line was super long, but hey what do you expect? Cal city finally has a Starbucks! Took about 45 minutes total to order and get my drinks. No complaints. I then went on the 5th day since they have opened and the wait time was probably 10 minutes. The line was a little shorter that day, but I think the new Starbucks employees are getting the hang of it. (I also got my dog her first puppuccino, she loved it!) read more

They over charged me for my 2 frapps they're normally 10.40 and they charged me 10.90 they also messed up my order when I ordered on the App I ordered my usual and when my husband went to pick them up my frap was ready but his was not so he waited and as he watched them make everyone's drink in the drive thru then once he got his order 7 minutes later they told him they were out of whip cream, now I know this is a new Starbucks but it's not right to treat customers that way, and when I asked why the extra charge the drive thru lady told us that's the original price which it's not because I always order these same two drinks every time I go to Starbucks, and they're always 10.40, so be careful when you visit this Starbucks..... read more

Hello, Today I placed a mobile order at my local Starbucks located in California City CA, 93505. Apparently an item on my order was not available and instead of explaining the problem and offering something else the Employee switched the item on my order without telling. In addition the item she decided to give me, was of a lesser value and again, she didn't bother to tell me about it. Once I went back to the store to get what I had ordered, thats when she decided to come clean and explain that they were out of the item I had originally ordered. Went there this morning through the drive thru. My mom and I ordered 2 decaf lattes with almond milk, sugar free vanilla syrup, and cinnamon powder. We got our order and it was too sweet. I saw that they put a triple shot of espresso in both of our drinks. We are both diabetic so we can't drink it so I go inside to get them remade even though I was going to be late for work. The girl making the drinks has a bad attitude. I told her that they got our order wrong and I heard her say that she heard us say triple shots of espresso. I order this drink all the time why would I do that? I also heard her say when I told the girl about the problem that I should go somewhere else. I heard everything she was saying. I'm giving them my money. The shift leader or whoever she was gave me the money back for the triple shot of espresso of one drink but the not the other one. I was late already for work so I said I would come back another time. This is the only Starbucks in town so I can't say I will never come back but a barista can't just ignore their customers. If I didn't look at the drink I could have had some serious problems. Another thing the girl making the order and the girl taking the order need to wear a hairnet and gloves and maybe a mask because the whole time I was waiting for my order they would touch their nose and hair repeatedly while making the drink and handling the food. The remake of my order tastes a little watered down but I could still drink it because I don't think I will get sick. read more

Service was kind and great! I am a property investor in California City. One would expect scary people at a Starbucks way out in the desert. The staff that was chosen for this location are very nice. Don't let these low life people who prey from negativity. Everyone is human so I'm sorry if you had been charged slightly higher for your drink. I really like this particular Starbucks. For a very long time we were a very sad town and we didn't have much here. When Starbucks came along it was a game changer because before we had to go to Tehachapi. The employees are on top of their game, they always make the order correctly and on the few off times they make a mistake, they fix it. As for their app, what people need to keep in mind is that for some reason it's in Canadian dollars and so before you add money to your e-starbucks card you need to make sure you figure out the amount in Canadian dollars that you want to add otherwise you'll come up short. For example, $20 Canadian dollars is $14.49 in US dollars. read more

I went three other times and they were closed when they were supposed to be open in the morning. I love starburst but this one in Cali city is the worst I Ben to .. I called yesterday to let them know my 3 drink did not have any flavor in it tasted like water and they told me to come in and get new ones made .. I went today it pick up my new drink and it's stil Tasted like water still had NO flavor in it !! When they first open they made the Frappuccino right and now they make them half ass !!
