First time and I did a walk in. The drive thru configuration of this location is the worst I've ever seen across the country. Super tight and no way to navigate that's why I went in. The staff was nice and cheery which was nice. The tables and station was not clean unfortunately. Sugar and coffee spilled everywhere so they definitely need to stay on top of wiping down the lobby. After seeing that, I didn't want to clear the area so I just took my items and ate in my car which I hate to do. Not sure if return. read more

I'm a member of the Starbucks reward system. I buy items from Starbucks probably 3 times a week. I'm a frequent customer and I was just at one on yesterday. I am in the area running errands and decided to stop in the Starbucks on Torrence in Calumet City, I stood in line and waited. When it was my turn, I asked for water in my personal Starbucks cup in which I earned through my rewards. I was told, that I have to make a purchase just for water. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Terrible service! I honestly try my best not to come to this Starbucks because the service is always terrible. I ordered curbside had to wait over 20 minutes. When I finally got my drink, it was wrong. I told the barista it was wrong instead of making it over, they scraped the whipped cream off the top when the whole drink was wrong. The barista gave me attitude and when I asked for a refund he gave me an even bigger attitude. This is the worst Starbucks. read more

There is always a long line at the drive thru window and the wait is usually very long. However, when you arrive at the drive through window they offer service with a smile and are always super friendly. I am not sure what is happening with the long wait..but it is all worth it in the end with a good hot cup of coffee and a smile. I cannot provide four stars or higher due to the extensive wait. read more

service gets slower and worse everytime I come in. This time I placed an order at the register and almost waited 15 minutes from the time it was placed to receive it. Apparently the person who had taken my order didn't alert that I was waiting for the order and didn't put a name on it either, so the order was sitting in the drive thru window all that time. A huge inconvenience when you offer mobile pick up in dining area, and you get to this location and they have sign saying drive-thru only. Mobile order to be picked up inside should not be an option. Went in today to pick up my mobile order of a caramel macchiato and a bagel. I got nothing but attitude , a long wait, and a disgusting drink. It's funny you want to let me know you only make the drinks in a snarky way and the drink was made completely wrong. Always good to get your coffee here, because the staff here are pretty much the best staff ever they make sure you are ordering the right stuff even offering suggestions to try something new. This place is great for college students that need to study for their classes. Book clubs are always welcomed as long as they don't take up space for the next person. They dont just sale coffe they are also serving fruits, vegetables and sandwiches as well. My favorite has always been the apple caramel spice ( Steamed, freshly pressed apple juice and cinnamon syrup. I don't know what's happened to this place over the past year or so but things have gone seriously downhill. I've been in the area and going to this Starbucks for ten years or so and it's never been this bad. The line is never short, EVER. Expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes in the drive thru if you choose to go that route. The employees used to be super friendly and helpful, now they're just teenagers and college kids with bad attitudes. They don't even have decorations in the windows, or the sign outside anymore. Always a good trip here. The drinks are always on point. Never tooo hot as some places can be such as McDonalds. The baristas are always patient when I customize my drink as well. I would give this particular starbucks five stars if they had a much more convenient drive thru. I feel like it takes a little patience sometimes because with the other businesses in the same strip, the line of the drive thru tends to be in the way of other shoppers in the area. Starbucks itself should be placed in an area without other stores. They are pretty fast, clean and patient with customers. It's pretty spacious inside so you can work as you snack or just enjoy your cup of joe. If it wasn't for the limited parking or drive thru space, i would return more frequently. read more

I had an outstanding experience here. Admittedly, it was just the drive thru but it was just that extra something from the guy at the window. When I placed my order the man was super friendly and asked nice follow up questions. When I came around to get my drink and OK, I admit it, a chocolate croissant as well, he was super personable. We got into a discussion about teaching and he told me he wants to be a teacher for his future profession. A good morning starts with some sort of caffeine. A great morning starts with zipping in a drive thru, and getting a triple grande white mocha - no whip cream. I love when I have enough time to stop for Starbucks and this location is my favorite. The drive thru is extra efficient. Plus everyone who works here is friendly and remembers to give me a sleeve and a stopper (you know the green stick that keeps your drink warm). It is also the most consistent in terms of drink quality. I don't get to the end and have to endure an overly sweet gulp. This location has high traffic and the store is rather long and narrow. This is located adjacent to what appears to a now defunct River Oaks Malls. The parking is fantastic. Yes, Starbucks is expensive. However, I've come to except that you have to dish out the cash, for good quality (and tasty) things. The Skinny Vanilla Latte, is one of my favs. Plus, I can feel less guilty (about the calories) when I'm drinking it. Ha!
