My wife went into the Starbucks on 103rd and Longwood on a mid-day Saturday and it seemed that the trainees were left to fend for themselves! She waited 20 minutes for a simple venti coffee trap using her star rewards. The staff kept making mistakes. The pick up counter was filled with around 8 drinks that were all mistakes. This was frustrating and excruciating to wait. There was no manager on site to complain. The drink was not good as it wasn't made the way it was asked. She simply took it because of the 20 minutes to even get it. read more

When I order drinks from here, they always taste great. Though sometimes they can get a bit busy so I like yo use my Starbucks app to preorder and I don't have to wait for my order. Great service! read more

I struggle with this Starbucks. I want to like it - and there are a lot of things to like: friendly staff, nice sitting area, nice outdoor area, and it is close to the train but it can be REAL slow in comparison to other Starbucks. I've tried to over compensate by mobile ordering well in advance (more than 10 min) of when I want to pick up but my mobile order is rarely ready when I get there. On more than one occasion I have left parts of my order at the store because it wasn't ready by the time I needed to walk to the train. There are typically 6 people working there on weekday mornings, but they don't seem to have a good system for identifying mobile orders when they come in. I probably will only visit this location if I have more than 20 min to allow my order to be ready. read more

This is by far the best Starbucks in the city when it comes to customer service. In the winter it's a little chilly inside at no fault if there's, but aside from that they are consistently pleasant, attentive, upbeat and my drink is always perfect. I switched from my daily caramel macchiato to a flat white because my drinks were never the same twice. My macchiatos were constantly half foam, watery or both. After an unpleasant experience with a barista at this location I switched to regular coffee. Over the weekend I tried a flat white at another location. I decided to give these people another shot at a specialty drink. The flat white on one occasion it was good. My second visit was awful the first flat white was more than half foam the remake extremely watery. I hesitated returning the coffee for a third time and decided a refund would be best. I was given a refund, offered another selection and a complementary gift card to make things right, all of which I refused, vowing never to return. I don't want freebees, all I expect is a good specialty drink at 6:30 am especially if I am willing to pay $5+ daily. read more

Ok..... 1st pls let me say I'm not one for negative reviews or comments as I feel everyone is entitled to a bad day here and there. Since this has happened on more than 3 occasions in a short time I feel compelled to say so. NOTE: it's just 1 Longwood employee that's REALLY..... well U know. He's the only one who always seems overwhelmed (doing nothing) and bcuz of that he comes across as frustrated, aggravated or worse w attitude. No one in line/ no one waiting on their drink yet he takes FOREVER. Shouldn't feel dread when I walk in and see him behind counter. He's certainly not a new employee, has been there a long time. Always get that vibe his co-workers wld rather do for themselves, regardless of who's job it is, versus hv'n to deal w him. Which is completely unfair since their tips get evenly dispersed. It's like rewarding bad behavior or worse those employees who hv great interaction/communication skills get punished for his inability to the same (his job). Now I go 2 miles outta my way and swing by 103rd/Cicero which ALWAYS has a Great Crew. read more

Kudos to Starbucks for preserving this building, the old Christian Science Reading Room. They've even preserved some internal structural features as well, like the fireplace/mantle from the old CSRR. I'm not really a fan of Christian Science or Starbucks, but its good to see a historical Beverly edifice remain for posterity, even if it is just a coffee place. read more

Walking into the establishment everything seemed nice. Until I made my order! The barista got my name wrong after spelling it out to her. The manager didn't know how to make my drink and they took forever! My sister also ordered a chicken sausage biscuit and asked for no pork strips and they still did it anyway. They are very nice here. I used to eat breakfast here every single Monday before I took the train to class and after about 3 or 4 visits, they knew what I usually ordered. Friday around 3 pm they were slammed. Two people on registers and two baristas. It is very congested area where you order; Pay to park but they do have a lot you cannot see too well from 103rd on the side of the store. Store is crowded with marketing stuff by the counter. They should move it- people kept bumping into it and it would make more room to wait.The pink unicorn drink taking it''s toll on the amount of time to make; slowing up other orders. Some people waiting 15 minutes to get the order of coffee. 10 minutes into our wait a third person came out to help behind counter and cashier was even making drinks. They were very nice staff but short staffed. Outside seating garbage was full- chairs in disarray and not cleaned up till rush was over. Patio view nice- a big castle on the hill -sunny and good people watching. An after school hangout on the patio. I would go back just because I like Starbucks brand. read more

I tried to use the mobile ordering app to place an order as this recently re opened location is only during pick up orders and not accepting cash. I know that the store does not administer the ordering app. I tried several times to place order to no avail a good 90 minutes b4 closing.The app wasn't finding location in question. When I couldn't order I phoned the store and the young girl who answered the phone had no suggestions, so she put ger MANAGER on the phone who told what I already knew as I told her. I related that I had a gold card which could be debited as store couldn't accept cash. Manager again says she can't accept cash which I was not asking her to accept. I wanted to know if my gold card could be debited. Again I was told that I would have to use the mobile app if I wanted to order, in spite of what I just told her. I was told to try another location. SOUNDS LIKE THE STORE DIDN'T WANT MY BUSINESS/REVENUE. TOLD MANAGER TO SCREW IT AND I WAS GOING TO DUNKIN DONUTS INSTEAD. THE $20 WORTH OF BUSINESS OF MINE WENT TO ANOTHER BUSINESS.
