Store 2449. I ordered a large black iced tea. It was $3.69., and I put $1 tip in container. Aside from waiting 10 minutes, I watched the "barista" use the same shaker cup she just used to make a mango drink. She added an inch or 2 of tea & the rest water and poured it over a cup full of ice. Left-late for nail appointment next door-tasted it; and, it taste like water flavored with a bit of mango. Love this place. I started drinking cold brew because it was easier on my stomach. I go there everyday before work to get my morning (and afternoon) fix. They are always very polite, attentive and always try to remember my name if they haven't already. They always make my grande vanilla sweet cream cold brew the way I like it with a little less cream and two pump vanilla. And by god, it's always consistent no matter who's making it. I am always trying to tip when I have the money just because of how well they treat me. Can't reccomend this location enough. read more

Maybe it's because I stop here for my 5 AM caffeine fix on the way to work and rarely visit on weekends (get my coffee fix at brunch). I love my corner Starbucks. The staff are friendly even at 5 AM. My coffee comes out piping hot, the staff remember my order, and there's always parking right out front. It's a nice feeling to be able to walk in, hand the barista your cup, and know that in 2 minutes, it will be filled with heavenly goodness. It does get crowded on Saturdays, but the baristas are always bustling and getting drinks out as fast as they can. If you don't like crowds at Starbucks, just avoid the rush. Or get some Via. Occasionally I score a free shot of espresso - always a plus. Love the staff. Love the shop. read more

The people are really slow and not friendly. I only cane here since I know the store manager from another location. The store manager Megan is awesome but I wish she would of went to Clark and Addison location where u get the reserve bar. She will make things together and get new people to work there. The store is very small, very slow service even when there's no line and also as soon as you get into the bathroom people start knocking and kicking the door to get in to the bathroom. read more

It is a tiny shop, but the staff was really friendly. Way more friendly that most, they were chatty even. I noticed that there's a lending library there is the store which is a super nice bonus. If I lived closer I might actually take advantage of that. The bathroom was clean, which is a nice bonus. They would have had 4 stars, but I noticed when I looked at my receipt many hours later that the cashier charged me for a "venti" when I ordered a "tall". Dammit. read more

As much as I love the espresso, this Starbucks is way too crowded. Granted it's in a high traffic area in Lincoln Square, when there is so much floor space and cafes are meant to be chill and laid back, it stinks when you can't find a place to sit. Also, one restroom? In a place where coffee flows like water, you'd expect there to be more than one toilet. I have to say, though, I'm more likely to find a seat at this Starbucks than I am at the nearby independent cafes. I usually pick up my mobile order from here since it is across the street from my job. I work usually 4-5 days a week. My coffee is usually on point . I always order the same thing. I can tell when someone new makes my coffee because i like it very specific and sometimes it doesn't come out exactly how i want it. I ask them to add something if i taste that it is missing and they never give me any trouble for asking . The staff is really nice and they even having charging stations ! read more

The good: The staff are friendly. They always keep you up to date on specials, especial with holidays. The drinks are pretty consistent. I've never had an issue with seating, but I always sit when it's not busy. The bad: Expect lines to be crazy during rush hours, or weekend brunch hours. It comes in waves. The biggest issue I had with this Starbucks is the higher than normal rate of theft and attempted thefts I witnessed while there. I even overheard a manager complaining about theft there. This chain needs to up its security or have baristas more alert of suspicious individuals because it does not make me, as a paying customer, feel remotely safe in this establishment. I honestly think they need to lock that back door because that back door is out of the baristas' view and easy for thieves to walk out with merchandise. Just my opinion. read more

I try to avoid Starbucks because of the sugar and overall crazy involved. When I do go, which is rarely, Starbucks is a treat. So, I expect that every time I walk into any Starbucks what I order will be the same as any other location. According to another review here, they use computerized machines. If that's true then why is it every time I order a caramel macchiato or white chocolate mocha its never sweet enough?. I'm not a diabetic or order them that way, so if I do happen into this location, I have to ask for it sweeter otherwise it's always diet. read more

Probably one of my favorite Starbucks in the city. Really friendly baristas, quick service, nice atmosphere.. Product is consistent thanks to the computerized espresso machines they introduced 5 years ago so what sets this one apart is its friendly staff. read more

Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Outdoor seating on Lincoln is awesome when the weather is nice, but the inside of the store is a little small and seats get grabbed up quick. The other Starbucks I've been to don't know how to make the caramel iced macchiato like this place does, I ONLY get the iced caramel macchiato. Yes, it's a chain, but the long windows give a safe view of your bike while you wait for the group to come up DamenAvenue before your long weekend ride . Or just bring your wheels in the door facing the 6 corners intersection - the room is long enough and the staff accommodates, provided there's not twelve of you. The coffee is, as always, reliably good. But I am constantly disappointed with coffee shops' - and Starbucks in particular - tendency to hand everything over "to-go." Even when I ask for it "for here" it's in one ear and out the other. Now I specifically ask for a plate and a cup. Nothing is more wasteful that using a bag for a pastry and a full-sized coffee cup for a doppio espresso that you are going to consume immediately. Let's practice what we preach, eh? read more

This Starbucks is tiny and funny-shaped because it's on a weird little corner at the intersection of Lincoln/Damen/Irving Park, but they still make my soy chai lattes just the way I like them! Despite the funky shape, it's big enough and the baristas are quick enough that there's not a giant line winding out of the store at 7am like some of the other Bux's in this city. read more

I stopped in here this morning around 9am when the morning rush was still in full swing. I barely had to wait a moment before I ordered, and my coffee came right away. I'd ordered a pretty basic brew, so I was pleased but not overly surprised... And then I sat down to enjoy my drink and people-watch. And holy crap, my people-watching turned almost immediately into watching with mounting awe how well the baristas handled the absolute non-stop deluge of customers. Everybody behind the counter was upbeat and friendly, and worked SO well together. All their interactions (including my own at the register) seemed extraordinarily genuine - Which, listen, I'm in the service industry myself, and while a good attitude is always necessary, it's human to have to take a break from the emotional labor of being constantly On. So I was blown away by how seamlessly the workers here combined efficiency with such spectacular customer service. I saw customer after customer after CUSTOMER respond positively to the environment they created, which is the pinnacle of success as an industry worker, to me. I left feeling better about the damn human race, man. That's a hell of a thing to get along with your coffee in the morning. read more

An all-around unpleasant coffee run - I felt ignored by the 4 employees - 3 of them stood around laughing and talking about Pamela Anderson movies while only 1 was actually working, although he was making incorrect drinks for the people in front of me... OK - I hate to diss Starbucks because I do really really like their coffee however it seems that the quality of the experience varies so much between differant locations. This one, unfortunately get's a "Meh". The are always so slow here. And the seating situation could be better. Maybe I am spoiled because I generally go to the downtown locations and you know they are hopped up on so much expresso they are practically octopusi - is that the right plural?. I've never worked/studied at this location so I don't have anything to say for that aspect of it. However, whenever I've stopped in for a drink the baristas have been quick and attentive in providing the service. Plus they're one of the cleaner Starbucks locations I've been to. read more

The people who work at this Starbucks are great. Absolutely no complaints with regard to the employees and the service they provide. That said, I avoid coming to this Starbucks unless absolutely necessary due to how loud and dirty it is. It needs a remodel/reboot. Shame because I live across the street and would come in here daily if it wasn't so gross. read more
