Totally enshitified coffee shop experience. $40, 20+ minute wait, zero customer service.

I go to this Starbucks fairly regularly. The reason I continue to go here is because it's very close to my house and work and the service is relatively good. It's like any other typical Starbucks coffee where they spell your name wrong sometimes miss an ingredient in your drink but the overall results are still well received. My experiences with this particular location have been vast but I have never been inside the store. I continue to use the drive thru for all of my encounters because of the convenience. I will say that the drive thru at this particular location moves pretty fast compared to others I have used. They typically have your order ready to go when you get up to the window. There are several good standard and seasonal items to choose from but my go to drink at any Starbucks is a dirty chai. I prefer to get the slow roasted ham and Swiss breakfast sandwich. read more

They follow recipes and handle long lines pretty well for the most part, but I can't tell you the last time I got coffee via their drive thru and my drink wasn't over flowing from lid contact. I'm perpetually cleaning my car's cup holder and console because of this lack of attention, and forgotten 4th grade liquid displacement science lessons. read more

This might rank up there as an epic customer service fail. I've been coming to this location for years. Recently in the last year, I've suffered through wrong orders, given half full cups of coffee, coffee dumped on my car and most recently last night had some stupid Muppett take my order, take my money and FORGET me in the drive thru. After 15 minutes, I called the store in their drive thru. This might seem acceptable, except this was the SECOND time in a month. Bottom line: Go any where but here. read more

The thing that sets this Starbucks apart from the rest is the staff. Before hitting the road back to Kansas City, I stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat in the car. The employee I interacted with was so kind and provided some suggestions of her favorite lunch items. The BBQ chicken bento box didn't disappoint and within five minutes I was back on the road. Let me start by saying I do not drink coffee. I came here for a business meeting with a coffee drinker. We walked in the door to the smell of coffee (surprise) and people everywhere on their computers. We were not greeted by staff, simply looked at like "what do you want". I ordered the double chocolate pound cake. They took it out of the case, placed it in a paper sleeve, and handed it to me. We found the only two comfy chairs left and got to work. My double chocolate pound cake was moist, chocolatey, and delicious. It was nothing special, but my cake was yummy and we got our work done. Win Win. read more

There are a lot of bad reviews here. I have to give it to Starbucks, because the day I was there, so was the Regional Manager, interacting with customers and trying to run the store. I just don't think this location hires great people. Obviously one kid behind the counter was new, but he was just bombing it. The drink was made fine by the barista, I was able to sit and do my work near an outlet, but I could tell this was a hot mess and I lucked out with a good experience. Sorry, Starbucks. read more

At one time, this particular store would have deserved 5 stars. Unfortunately, the last year has seen a drastic decline in service, attitude and atmosphere. Let me start by saying that I frequented this location daily for nearly three years, so I have seen many employees come and go and of course have had my favorites. In the last year, the accuracy has gone down hill and many of the staff seem less than knowledgeable. I quit using the drive thru all together, as I have to repeat my order, often more than once and they seem confused with what I request. Besides this, the last time I pulled in there were vehicles backed all the way to the main plaza entrance. Recently, when I didn't like what I ordered, I was treated with indifference and could visibly read the complaints on the particular Barista's lips as they remade my order. As it turned out I did indeed misread the small print on the menu and apologized for my mistake with zero graciousness on their part. It just so happens that my daughter cannot have one of the ingredients that went into it and I was left feeling as if I should have been apologizing for requesting my nearly $15.00 order for 4 drinks. On the positive side, the store remains very clean and the majority of the people there are polite enough. The new manager is always kind and has a smile on her face. I just miss the old days when a $6.00 drink brought me smiles, people who learned my name and drink preferences. The high price was worth the excellent service I used to receive. read more

I love coffee! That being said, it kind of follows that I would like Starbucks. Right? I mean, what could go wrong? Service at this location is usually pretty good. Although I often wonder why it takes so long to get through the drive-thru. That could be explained by those who order for the whole office on their way to work, I suppose. No, the only real complaint I have with this location is how often I hear the phrase, "We're actually all out of exactly what you had your heart set on...". How hard can it be to order enough of ANYTHING to ensure you don't run out before your next delivery. Come on! I've just sat in line for 10 minutes and I don't have time, now, to go some place else! I rarely write negative reviews but I consistently have a bad experience at this Starbucks. The baristas are rude, seem put out by you being there, and never apologize for messing up an order (which often happens) or taking excessively long to make your drink (with no explanation). Usually Starbucks employees are super helpful and friendly. What gives, 3100 Broadway? I've been going to this Starbucks for the sheer convenience, but it's Dunn Brothers for me from now on. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks in Columbia. They are so quick to make your drink, even if there are 10 cars in line (5 min wait time at max). The restaurant's tables are always clean and the staff is extremely friendly. One of the baristas, Marissa is always so nice and patient with my complicated orders. Let me start by saying that I go to this coffee shop nearly every day. I will continue to go to this coffee shop, because it's closest to where I work. Unfortunately however there seems to be some type of training laps at the store. It doesn't seem to matter how many times I tell them that I would like my iced coffee sweetened, they seem to still manage to forget it. I would like to say that it's only one employee who seems to be forgetful, but it doesn't seem to matter who takes my order, my drinks remain unsweetened. Also, I wouldn't take the time to write this link via review if this was a one or two time incident, but this occurs every time I order a drink from there. I have taking time out of my busy schedule after going to the drive-through to enter the store wait in line and complain to the barista, but the problem still remains. If someone of influence reads this, please tell them to put an S on the cup for sweetened or a U on the cup for unsweet. I don't want to be the jerk that has to sit in line and make everyone else wait while I taste everything, but....... Sorry if your in line behind me. read more

Not super impressed with this starbucks they have messed up my orders multiple times and they have also had broken blenders and other issues to where they couldn't make my drinks for some reason. read more
