OMG! Waiting 25 minutes for a cappuccino! Crazy. Would not recommend. Perhaps they need more staff.

Today, I spent some time clearing out my father's home and helping my nephew, who'd been staying with him prior to his death, settled in a new residential situation. As I was driving through Danville on the way home, I stopped at the town square and decided to have a late lunch in the area. To be honest, I headed first to Square Burger. However, as a wheelchair user I was dismayed to see a step into their establishment. No go. I wasn't in the mood for Mayberry Cafe despite my love for the place. I looked over and realized this was a great chance to check out The Beehive. The Beehive is just off the square and shares a building with Two Guys Pies. The US 36 entrance is not wheelchair friendly, however, the back entrance has a nice concrete ramp (I did find the sidewalk a bit narrow - I noticed as I entered here that had I desired to visit Two Guys Pies there was a bicycle on the sidewalk that would have easily blocked my access). This is an attractive building. The Beehive has been here a little over 10 years. I'm not sure I'll describe The Beehive accurately - it's sort of a coffeehouse meets breakfast/lunch joint where you can also get fresh, local honey and other frozen goods to take out. They do catering and offer deli sandwiches, beer/wine carryout, a build your own salad menu, local meat and produce, and the aforementioned frozen goods. They also have a small retail area where you can buy honey, t-shirts, and other items. A good amount of their sweets utilize honey instead of sugar. I parked on the square in one of their accessible spots (parking is free, up to 5 hours for accessible parking but only two hours for others). I wheeled around the building - someone was planting plants/flowers and was super friendly and stopped his work to make sure I could get through). They close at 4pm on Saturdays - I arrived about 3ish. I ordered one of their combos that included a 1/2 sandwich, chips, and a drink. They do have unsweetened iced tea, fountain drinks, and a variety of canned/bottled drinks (including Choc-ola!). They also have a ton of coffee/latte type options. I found the prices to be reasonable. This is especially true given these are healthier options (though certainly not everything here qualifies as "healthy."). The employees were friendly. They were quiet, however, service was quite good. I loved the atmosphere. I had zero issues finding a wheelchair friendly table. I could independently reach everything I needed, though I'm sure they'd have assisted if needed. This wasn't a mind-blowing experience. It was simply a really good lunch in a pleasing atmosphere at a fair price. After an emotional experience like clearing out my family home (which isn't yet done), this was a great way to relax and calm the emotions. I enjoyed the sandwich, which is toasted, and they had Miss Vickie's potato chips. I'm not sure why it took me so long to stop here, however, I'd easily return for the simple yet wonderful menu, great drinks, warm atmosphere, and friendly employees.

Arrived and noted that there were not many donuts in the display, but we were told they would make them for you. Okay, great. No worries. We ordered two donuts, the breakfast tacos, and a breakfast sandwich. We got milk and a regular coffee. The breakfast items came out fairly quickly, but no donuts or coffee. Kind of waited for a little and then finally had to ask, nothing was being made. Able to get my coffee and the donuts finally arrived. They were not the normal quality at all. I am not sure what they are doing. PROS: A donut place between Avon and Danville, so great for the community Parking is not an issue, but not many ways in the lot CONS: Place was not clean, tables were dirty Process to order and get items was in disarray. (they were training a new employee on the register, no issues with that at all, she was doing what she could and was being trained, they were doing a great job with that. She was not made to hurry and was learning, so all good) Items received were not the quality expected as they are making the as you order, rather than having items available so poorly made. Meaning, when they finally realized we had no donuts, they asked what we ordered and made them. The donut with chocolate icing with sprinkles was just chocolate thrown on it, melting everywhere and it was not appetizing at all. I hate to leave a bad review or a low review, but we are not planning on coming back to this facility. I will definitely try the other options.

Great selection of donuts and some non donut options if sweet breakfast isn't your thing. The drink my daughter got was a mango slushy type drink and it was OK. The mango syrup they used was a little too artificial and perfumy. Later ordered some donuts for delivery and the maple bacon donut was good and the coconut cream one was a definite hit!

With the beginning of the Statehouse Market in downtown Indy for 2023, I'm once again discovering…read moresome of the hidden gems and newbies in the realm of food trucks and farmer's market vendors. One such truck is Milkhouse Brew, a Mooresville, Indiana based mobile coffee truck serving locally roasted coffee, specialty beverages, and locally baked confections. Milkhouse Brew is a partnership between cousins Haliena "Hali" Mynatt and Suni Johnsons. Hali also owns Morgan County event venues 5 East and The Barn at Milkhouse Lane. Suni is a longtime photographer in the area. Both women are locals who graduated from Mooresville High School. Milkhouse Brew has a fairly basic menu, or at least did today, including cappuccino, latte, macchiato, americano, chai latte, and hot chocolate with some variations and flavors available. Prices were pretty darn reasonable and all the drinks could be served either hot or cold. They also all came in either 16-ounce and 20-ounce sizes. Prices primarily were in the $3-6 range and for that you get a tasty drink, awesome service, and the thrill of supporting local. I ordered a 20-ounce iced americano. It was served fairly quickly and they seemed to do a steady business today. A food truck offering coffee has been a serious lacking at Statehouse Market and I'm hoping they will return. Coffee is from Timber City Coffee and Tea - an establishment that recently opened up a storefront in Plainfield. Milkhouse also plans to carry Circle Kombucha, though I did not see it available today. They are also exploring options for root beer on tap. I loved my drink, though I did think the ice melted super quickly and that slightly hindered my enjoyment of the drink. I still enjoyed it, however, that does keep me from forking over a 5th star. Who knows? I hope I get to award that in the future as this new kid on the block, women-owned and operated, really gets going. There's much to love here with an appealing truck, friendly service, quality products that are also local, and an overall winning experience. Here's hoping they'll be back at Statehouse Market in the near future. I could not find an actual address, though they are active on social media and do have a website. They seem to be particularly active in the Morgan/Hendricks county area.

I like the menu is simple and to the point. Expressos that can be iced or hot, cappuccino, lattes, Americanos, chai lattes are what they offer. Milks - almond, oat, or whole. ALL of the staff members were so friendly and helpful with us trying to decide what craft we wanted to do. We ultimately all chose to paint and got to take our time- we were there for hours, but never felt rushed. They assisted us multiple times with finding paint colors or making ones that were a blend of multiple colors. You can also do candle making (which other people did while we were there), macrame, faux succulent planters, make your own water bottle, etc. I chose a mushroom planter and it turned out so cute! I put one of my pothos in it and it fit perfectly and now sits on one of my bookshelves. Two of my cousins chose to do different face/bust vases, my third cousin chose to do a travel coffee cup, and my aunt chose to do a trinket dish. All of their pieces turned out beautifully as well, but I didn't snap photos of those after they got them back. My aunt picked up my piece when she went back to get all of theirs and then I got it from her the next time I saw them, but you can also have it shipped to you if you don't live close by. The inside has a big shop area with decor, ornaments, etc and then there is a cafe in the back for coffee, tea, sodas, and little treats. If I didn't live an hour away, then I would be here every weekend lol Percy, the shop dog, was so sweet and was napping up by the register when we came in. My cousins are obsessed with him, so they even got a photo with him before we left. A true diva.
