It's surprising how inconsistent Starbucks locations are. We were traveling from Mississippi to Texas and stopped here for a coffee after having lunch nearby. We paid extra for add-ons that we did not receive; we didn't even get the standard components of our drinks! As for the atmosphere, while we were there, a customer and an employee were openly arguing. Perhaps that created a distraction that caused our drinks to be disappointing. It's also possible that the customer's drink was terrible, and they were disputing it. My take - If you order a coffee, expect mostly milk, none of the syrups, zero whipped cream, and totally apathy. If you order cocoa and pay for some whipped cream, you probably won't get it. We paid extra and tipped - it made zero difference. We marked this location off the list for our next road trip. read more

I came in around 6:30 PM to get some work done and didn't order anything--I was completely locked in and focused. About an hour later, a staff member kindly came over and offered me a free coffee, followed by a water. I never asked for either. I'm not sure if it was because I was so clearly deep in my work or because I had my phone, iPad, and laptop spread out--but the initiative and generosity really stood out. As a business owner, I truly appreciate self-initiative, and that level of thoughtfulness goes a long way. I've never experienced this kind of service at Starbucks before. I have visited literally hundreds of Starbucks' location since they've come into existence and although they all seem to be pretty consistence with the quality of the products they offer; the service, quality of the product, wait-time, cleanliness and accessibility of the location are the five things that are important to me. I don't normally go to Starbucks, but sometimes they are the only option. I stopped here several times on my trip to Baton Rouge to mainline some caffeine. The first day I asked for French roast. I was politely advised that thy didn't have French roast, but they did have something called bold. It was ok, but not great. If it were only for this experience this would be a middle of the road three star review. Today the staff upped my rating one star. The barista working the register was very friendly, offered suggestions for next time (she even offered an off menu idea) and really made today's trip a great experience. Next time I am in Denham Springs or on my way to Baton Rouge, this will be my go to coffee shop. read more

So I have gone to this location of Starbucks for well over a year. I have ordered the same thing nearly everyday except for some rare occasions. Debra and Ariel were the ABSOLUTE BEST Baristas ever. Both have moved to other states and I must say that the experience there had changed. I have gone there a couple times since both have left. Everyone use to say good morning when someone walked in. My most recent visit this am was so drab. I walked in no one said anything. I actually had to say good morning to them. After I said it, one barista said good morning back. The barista that worked on my drink made it incorrectly. When I politely inquired about it she rolled her eyes but she did re make it she apologized. ( The re make was amazing) I miss the vibrance and the community feeling. I really felt appreciated and apart of the SBKS community before my 2 favs left. Now I will visit there again. I LOVE STARBUCKS!!! However, oftentimes while traveling and being away from my normal STARBUCKS it's often hit or miss with my customized favorites! This Starbucks not only got me and my daughter's drink correct they were spot on with customer service! My customizations were perfect and given with a smile! This route is a typical travel route for me, and this Starbucks will become a normal stop. This Starbucks has got to be the worst Starbucks I've ever been too. I get up for work pretty early. So on my way in I stop and get coffee. Can't do that at this starbucks. Advertising open time at 5am and do not serve anyone until 7am. I have driver through the drive through at around 6:20 the past 3 weeks in a row and have no be able to be served. It is infuriating seeing workers inside and not able to serve you because they are not ready at 6:20 when advertising opening at 5am. This is a joke and something needs to be done. On numerous occasions I have attempted to go here to see if by chance they would be open now and nope, never. I have never been able to get a coffee at 6:20 in the morning from this Starbucks. Of course I love STARBUCKS but this location often falls short on service. The staff is not friendly. They mess your order up and make you feel it's your fault. Miss the Hellos and Welcome to Starbucks! So just like Shan posted, I have been coming to this location for over 2 years. This location has gone down hill. Service was pretty good until the O'Neal location opened. Did all the good people go there? Did the employees just stop caring at this location? It seems that way. The Starbucks sign out front has been half-out for some time. Half-out meaning; the letters STARB is lit and COF are lit. Embarrassing it has been out sooo long. It's not that hard to have Starbucks call their contract who repairs and replaces the lights to come out! Mobile order: Pain in the butt! I have placed a mobile order several times and the wife wanted something afterwards, gone in and ordered her drink from the Barista and had it before my mobile order was even started! It happened just the other day. Waited 5-6 minutes, daughter wanted something, I ordered from the counter and they asked if there was anything else I needed it. I said yeah, my mobile orders. They will place the mobile orders on the counter wit the cups and then do the walk in orders and then in between do the mobile orders. And talk (not to customers, but to each other) throughout the time. There is way too much talking about the employees personal life to each other and their work schedule. There are some good employees there. This location even with that could be a lot better than how it is currently. If I have a choice and may be running close to a scheduled meeting or don't want inconsistencies in my order, I go to the O'Neal location now. Even my 8 and 12 year old notice a difference in service, friendliness, and speed in this location. O'Neal, Sherwood Forrest, Antioch, and College are more consistent locations to spend your money at. Get better Denham Springs Location! I'm not sure what happened... I've been coming here for years...they know me by name and I hate to have to leave this review, but I do it hoping they get it figured out. For the past 2 weeks (that's 10 latte's) my drink ALWAYS tastes like milk...JUST milk. I've had them remake it, I've brought it to their attention, but it's the same "milk latte" every single time. Today I drove 12 minutes further to the Millerville Target that has a Starbucks inside and VOILA !!!! A REAL LATTE !!! I had both drinks with me and they were night and day difference. The one from Millerville was DELICIOUS while the one from Denham hwy 16 was like a cup of warm milk. So it's not just me or my taste buds.... The barista is making the drink incorrectly. Perhaps she's been trained to make it that way, I don't know, but I do know that I'm saddened by the fact that I will never go the hwy 16 Starbucks again even though it's 3 minutes from my home. More hits than misses I went today to get something to wake me up. I have been to this location multiple times. I would say that I have been through the drive-thru and inside about 50/50. In one drive-thru instance, I had the most soothing and polite voice I have ever heard on a drive-true intercom. It instantly put me in a better mood. However, a few times I have came to this location and received mediocre service. I wasn't expecting that type of service at a Starbucks in a suburb. On the positive, today's visit was awesome. I came inside and experienced a calm and relaxing setting. The baristas were very kind! I might just make this my new study spot. I hope it is consistent though. read more

Exceptionally rude staff, sloppy unkempt store, inconsistent beverages, and last but not least manager is very rarely present and visible in store to correct this mess of a staff on their unprofessional and frankly petulant manner of communicating with customers. To the manager I would simply say that you need to retrain your staff members (all of them) on the proper and professional etiquette that's to be used in dealing with ALL customers and in ALL aspects of a business. The drinks are average at best here. Usually their hot coffee drinks taste like the espresso is stale/old or burnt. The iced drinks usually are more ice than drink. Their customer service is horrible. There's a man that usually works there during the day... I don't know his name but you can hear how rude his tone is even through the speaker at the drive through. They just seem very annoyed to be serving coffee. Also, the drive thru line can take 15-20 minutes on any given day. Typically I just order my drink on the app and walk inside to get it because that's quicker than waiting in a 5-6 car line there. The only redeeming quality about this Starbucks is the location. That's the only reason I go there. If there was another Starbucks on my way to work I'd gladly switch. read more

If you're looking to make a QUICK stop for coffee I suggest you drive the extra 5 minutes down to the Starbucks on O'Neal because by the time you get your coffee from there you will probably still be in line at this Starbucks. I would come to this location almost daily since I lived 3 minutes away and had to change it, they have forgotten to put ice in my Iced caramel macchiato and forgot to put coffee in my coffee Frappuccino after waiting for about 20 minutes in the drive thru. My all-time favorite is the spiced pumpkin latte, the only thing that stinks is it's not all your round. This particular location has a good drive-through and they really did a good job putting the place back together after the flood in Denham Springs. My husband and I stopped at this particular location for some refreshments on hour 14 of an 18 hour drive to get medical treatment. Initially, my husband ordered two medium drinks, a milk and a cheese danish. The employee taking his order told him they were out of the cheese (maybe other ingredients) to make anymore and had already sold all they had for today because they had been so busy. "They scooped every one of them up." were his exact words. So, we ordered a chocolate danish instead, with the total being right at $16. My husband tried paying with cash, a $100 bill. The employee refused to take it and said it was "store policy". (No where was this policy posted.) I chimed in and said "Actually, a $100 bill is legal tender so if that's all we've got, you have to accept it." He got irritated and told me, "Lady, if Idid that, I would wipe out all my cash." I told him, that's impossible when you have a line inside as well as the drive through being full, too. ( Me knowing he's getting nearly $10 a pop for a cup of coffee.) I walked outside to look for some more cash, leaving my husband inside at the register, listening to more of the employees rants. He proceeded to tell him that regardless of how much money they have on hand, he wouldn't take a $100 bill unless we ordered $100 worth of product. He claims his brother is a detective with the local police department and he's instructed him "its about safety". This fool wants to believe if he doesn't have bills larger than a $20 on hand, he's less likely to get robbed?!? I was beyond livid once I made it back in the store. Fortunately, my husband found his debit card while I was outside and had completed the transaction before I could get back in. That was truly a blessing because I was so mad, I would have most likely met his brother, the detective, before leaving the great state of LA. I'm only giving one because zero isn't an option and my pink drink was really good. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Will never use this location, AGAIN! Starbucks can do better than this. read more

Recently visited and got my usual pikes cup of coffee and a cup of water. First sip of water immediately tasted like tap water. Starbucks prides themselves by having triple filtered water. This was obviously NOT! Brought attention to an employee. They said it was tap water, and they were waiting for approval to get the filter replaced. This is not good considering the coffee is being brewed with tap water too. Not a happy customer! read more
