OMG the beignet slider sandwich's are KILLER!!! Never would have thought using a beignet for a breakfast sandwich w bacon (or sausage) egg and cheese would be good, but trust me it all works. Leaving you wanting more and more. Their beignets were also tasty compared to other places around BR attempting to sell beignets. (Like that place on highland rt past the interstate, that's a shame they sell what they call a beignet over there). $30something bucks for a dozen beignets and 4 sliders. We went through the drive thru to place our order. The person taking our order seemed bored and unsure of any of the products or pricing. She then charged us twice the amount listed on their website and the drive thru board. When we asked her about it she said that couldn't be and that wasn't the right price. Take then left the window and did not return. I went around to the front and inside. She was talking with the owner/manager (?) who proceeded to tell me that there was no way he could fulfill my order for the price listed on his website. I could tell this business did not value its customers or customer service so I asked for a refund. He preferred to not get any business and a bad experience/review than admit it was an error on their part, fulfill the order or find an acceptable alternative, and fix the problem later. "I can't get $42 so I'm not going to be happy with the $21 it should be." This is not a good business model and I'd be surprised if they're not out of business in a year or two. read more

I've given this place a few tries. The food is great, coffee is good but I'm not impressed with the customer service. It is not so bad to where I don't want to come back but a simple smile goes a long way. Customer service is everything especially when running a small business. It's not everyone in there, I've had several great experiences but you're only as strong as your weakest link. Overall ambiance is decent. I'd consider adding grits to the menu as a bowl option... quick, easy and a solution for people with egg allergies. This was our first visit and even their A/C being out didn't put a damper on our experience. (They did have a sign, so we knew to expect some warmer than normal temps but they had fans going to help out.) The space was larger than I expected from the outside and was cute and inviting. They were patient with us as we looked over the menu and all of the staff were very friendly. We settled on a beignet flight, a regular order of beignets and a breakfast sandwich. The beignet flight comes with three sauces and we went with chocolate, caramel and strawberry. The caramel was my favorite, which surprised me, but it wasn't too sweet and tasted decadent. I felt the beignets were the perfect size and had a good amount of powdered sugar, but there is more on the table if you prefer your beignets drowning in it (like my mom) My dad got the breakfast sandwich and he said it was good, but next time might spice it up and try a beignet slider instead. They have a variety of flavored lemonades and we got the blueberry lemonade which was refreshing and had a good blend of flavors. I also got a latte and it was good as well. Very unremarkable place- neither of us could see ourselves coming back. The two of us got lunch paninis- they were very plain and sad. Besides the bread, meat, and cheese, each "topping" of like lettuce, tomato, onion, etc was an additional $0.75 charge which we felt was very cheap of the business... charging for avocado I can get but basic sandwich toppings come on. They have punchcards but only offered one stamp per visit, not on number of beverages gotten. The panini was barely toasted like the cheese hadn't melted and we were thoroughly underwhelmed for a lunch date. It was empty inside with lots of seating so it made catching up easy but nothing worth coming back for. The place was looked to be clean and staff were nice- although our table was slightly sticky. I got my matcha latte with lavender syrup to try something new- for beverages they had quite the selection of sweeteners/syrups for additional $0.75 charge. I personally wouldn't get that syrup again, I should've stuck with honey, as it felt too subtle in sweetness but pretty lotion-like lol. My friend enjoyed her caramel macchiato but couldn't bring herself to eat more than half the sad panini. It was very, very mid. It was worth the try supporting local. Oh man this was awesome! I had the eggs scrambled with cheese and bacon on the side! Eggs cooked perfectly and the bacon was so amazing and flavorful. Haven't had bacon that good in such a long time. Crispy and hot! My wife had the same but also a couple of beignets. We shared the beignets and loved them. Not too heavy for a breakfast meal. She finished the visit with a low fat peppermint mocha hot coffee....and she said it was great. So clean in there and relaxing. We look forward to our next visit! read more

Texas resident who went to LA for vacay & HAD to try authentic beignets. Everyone here was super friendly, and the lobby was clean & comfortable. They had tables, bars, and lounging spaces. The mocha they used tasted like regular coffee, not overly sweet just deep & cocoa-ey. The beignets were fresh and (in my personal opinion, delicious). The 4.3 stars seem a bit generous to me. My family and I ate here to kill time before my son's Basketball camp started. We ordered a few quick bites and here is our take on each: Food 1. Beignet Fingers - No real taste to them except for the powdered sugar. They were very airy which was nice but the Beignet batter seemed like it was missing an ingredient, maybe salt? 2. The hash rown bowl was fine, I don't feel like it was very special, just regular hashbrown, scrambled eggs on top and my bacon was cumbled on top. It also had an extra ingredient that I didn't ask for, hair. I didn't make a fuss, I pulled out the hair and discarded the portion of the food exposed to it. But the only flavor I got came from the cheese and bacon. I had to add salt pepper and Ketchup. 3. My husband had bacon, eggs, and 2 beignets. When I say airy, they were completely hollow inside and shared the same flavoring as the beignet fingers...none. The powdered super were the saving grace. 4. The bacon egg and cheese beignet sandwich. Not very impressive. 5. The coffee was fantastic. I had a cappuccino and the hubby had a latte. We were very pleased. I'd highly recommend making sure you grab a cup. Venue The restaurant was very clean, as was the bathroom. It was really cute inside with about 6 tables or so. Service The service was fine. We were promptly greeted entering and acknowledged when exiting. All in all, I think they need to go back and evaluate their beignet recipe or do something to ensure consistency if this was a one-off experience. With Beignet in the name of the restaurant, I expected more. Also, they may want to considering adding something to the flavor profile of the hashbrown and eggs as well. I had to come back for another review because everybody's taste is different. My first review got 3 stars but I took these beignets home to my kids but forgot to tell them so they sat on the table overnight. When I remembered and told them they ate them anyway. ALL of them! They agreed they needed more powdered sugar but I don't think they cared. They said they tasted like donuts. I think the fact that they ate them cold with barely any sugar (it had mostly melted away) speaks volumes. They might not be my favorite but they've definitely got something going! read more

I love this little place! Their beignets are really good but what I love, love, LOVE the most are their beignet sliders. I get the sausage, egg & cheese ones and they're so good! Best idea ever! It took me a while to try them bc I kept getting the turkey/havarti panini. It's delicious! The turkey they use has sun dried tomatoes in it and it makes it taste so good! Then, if you add avocado & tomatoes to it... AMAZING! But then I tried the beignet sliders and now I'm hooked! They're both amazing so it's just personal preference. FINALLY! A beignet spot near Shenandoah. It confuses me how there seem to be such limited good food options in this area even though it's heavily populated, so I was happy to see a beignet shop open up and am pleased that it's GOOD! My daughter and I came here for a Sunday morning treat around 10am and before we ordered, the staff said the wait for food was 20-30 minutes (love the transparency!). We sat at their one outside table and our food ended up coming out in just under 20 minutes. We ordered one large beignet fingers (12) and one standard beignets (3). The food came out hot so even though we ordered it to-go, we sat down and ate one finger each while it was still hot and fresh. My daughters response: "5,000 thumbs up!" And I very much agreed. I added a little extra sugar with the sugar shaker at our table before leaving. Next time, I will order online to reduce our wait time. Otherwise, it was a great experience! read more

I had the pleasure of getting to go to Beignet Done That in Baton Rouge on Friday, September 30, 2022, around lunch time. Every time I am in this area, I HAVE to go to this fabulous shop! No trip is complete without coming here. I ordered- to go- two flights (I special ordered all dipping sauces) (Flights are 3 beignets with usually 3 choices of dipping sauces), Biscuits & gravy, a small vanilla milkshake, & a Hot Café Au Lait. As always, please don't go to this shop without at least getting a Beignet. Please... They are fabulous, piping hot, soft & pillowy, with mounds of powdered sugar. Y'all, I didn't think you could improve upon the perfection of their Beignets alone, but then I met their sauces. BOOM! You can tell a lot of work & dedication was put into their sauce creations. Staff was kind enough to label each sauce container for me. Sauces include, *drum roll* - white chocolate, seasonal flavor pumpkin spice *insert drool here*, chocolate, strawberry, Raspberry, caramel, honey, blueberry, & matcha. For your traditional favorite dipping choices, you can't go wrong with the white chocolate, caramel, honey, & chocolate. White chocolate sauce was so creamy & smooth. One of my favorite smelling sauces was the strawberry one, & it really tasted like a strawberry shortcake. All of the dipping sauces were fabulous, but the ones that stood out the most to me because of their magnificence when considering their uniqueness were definitely the pumpkin spice & Matcha. The pumpkin spice is absolutely superb, the smell out of this world, has a lovely taste of cinnamon, is perfectly spiced... When I got my food home, I went around having various family members marvel at the amazing smells & tastes of the pumpkin spice sauce. Now, regarding their gem of the Macha sauce- I wish I could give all readers a virtual sample through this review- it was perfect! I was initially a bit reluctant to try the Matcha sauce as I'm often not fond of matcha/green tea flavor being too strong. But I read review after review for Beignet Done that in Baton Rouge raving about the Matcha sauce, so I became curious. How they managed to get that perfect green tea twang with creamy sweetness remains a mystery to me. Ever have those "OMG" moments with food & that moment where it is like a chorus of angels is singing in the background? I had multiple of those while sampling! Somehow, I had missed in my earlier visits that they even have milkshakes & I was thrilled! The vanilla milkshake was very good. As for the Biscuits & gravy, I thank the staff that I did not have to request to please put the gravy on the side as I am in my car & didn't want it to spill. Biscuits were moist, warm, soft but not chewy (thank you), nice & fluffy. Café Au Lait was hot & had a nice & strong flavor. The interior of the shop is warm & inviting with tables & sofas. The décor is friendly. The location is perfect & easy to find with GPS. Y'all, if only I lived here locally- I could have an excuse to do my weekly Walmart battles & reward myself at the end of my struggle with piping hot beignets every week! Plenty of public parking is available. As always, service was fast, friendly, & professional. Every time I go, I am constantly amazed how the staff go beyond the beyond to give their customers the absolutely best service possible. Thank y'all for that! I always feel like a queen! I love I didn't have to ask for extra powdered sugar, as staff are so kind to include it in the order. In one of my pictures, you will note a drink holder. Usually, I would have to order at least 3 drinks to get that at other shops, but the staff at Beignet Done That in Baton Rouge was so kind to give it to me for only two drinks. Yet again, I didn't have to ask for it. So, without asking, I got extra powder sugar containers, excellent service, a drink holder, biscuit gravy put in a sealed container, labeling of all the dipping sauces, etc. A+ staff. A+ experience. & isn't the name of the shop perfectly witty? Please forgive some of the photos I took as I was so enjoying sampling my wares I ate too slow & some of the sugar on the beignets had time to melt, lol. For those of us like myself with small bladders, the shop has a lovely & clean single unisex bathroom stall at the front of the shop. Bought a 225 Best Eats coupon, $10 for $20. It was one of those promotional deals to get people in to try their product. I was all prepared to go eat there and noticed my deal had expired the day before. I called and they basically said tough luck, they weren't taking it. Seems weird when the entire reason is to get people in to sample their menu. So, they got my $10 bucks, but that's all they'll ever get. And yes, I know it technically was expired by a day, but I have no desire to ever give them my money again either. read more

Sunday morning! Since weeks ago this place has people waiting in line, on-line ordering and drive thru ordering. The beignets are light and airy, tons of powdered sugar and AMAZING dipping sauces. My favorite sauce is the raspberry, but did also dip into the chocolate sause which created heaven on a beignet. Also ordered a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit....melts in your mouth delicious! If you haven't tried this place, you are definitely missing out. BTW...the drip coffee is outstanding and this is coming from someone who grinds and pour over their own coffee... So, if you love great coffee and outstanding beignets, this is the place for you!!!! First time going there. I walked in to place a order to go, and took in the atmosphere as I waited. The person that greeted me and took my order was very polite and friendly. I got two of the sausage egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches with a regular order of beignets (3). WOW! My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVED the food. Everything tasted FRESH and delicious.
