Grabbing a coffee here is always a planned treat. It's planned because the cost has truly risen in the last few months and my ticket seems to vary depending on the time of day I come. I always have to be be prepared to pay possibly more. I ordered my usual super grande caramel latte, made with oat milk along with an extra espresso shot. The drink was made perfectly prepared by a pleasant barista who hummed the entire time. I popped in during what seems to have been their quiet hour. Definitely one of my top places to study in Baton Rouge. Friendly staff, competitive prices, good variety of food, snacks, and of course coffee, and plenty of seating. There's an outdoor seating area, a long table that can be used as a standing table to do work, booth-like seating, and standard round and square tables. Outlets galore, the music is pretty neutral, and I can usually always find a spot to sit somewhere, though at times it can get kind of loud and busy. Oh and they offer free refills for their standard drip coffee and iced tea. I highly recommend getting a CC's card to start racking up rewards. Free WiFi, easy parking, and clean bathrooms (one for men and one for women). Overall, I would definitely recommend this location of CC's for studying, a casual meetup, or even just if you want some alone time. read more

Something tells me if you've been to a Starbucks, you've probably been to a CC's as well. The only difference is, CC's has a much nicer staff, it's far less "corporate" than Starbucks is, and is most importantly to the locals, a Louisiana brand. Has it converted me to enjoy coffee on a regular basis? No, but would I prefer a CC's over one's average Starbucks? Absolutely. The legions of caffeine addicts, which include most of my Louisiana friends, make this place their frequent stop for the morning runs and afternoon coffee boosts. And with good reason too, the staff is nice here, the wifi is free and plenty of space to lounge and relax. There is also a drive-thru, which seems to be their busiest outlet. I hate giving one star reviews (you can look at my review history for proof!) so it was a tough decision to give CC's such a low rating. I have had a bad experience 4 out of the last 5 times I've been here. I drink nondairy (almond or soy) milk and apparently it is very confusing for the baristas to receive a non-milk order. Either that, or they are just on autopilot and automatically grab the regular milk without double checking the order. Either way, I had to stop going through the drive through so I could actually watch my drink being made after it was made with regular milk too many times. Two weeks ago, I ordered an almond milk pumpkin pie latte. Seems simple enough. I was given a regular milk peppermint latte. I asked for it to be remade and was given a regular milk pumpkin pie latte. The third time, my drink was made correctly (not before I had to again correct the barista who *almost* poured regular milk into my latte again). I was almost as annoyed with the lack of apology as I was with having to wait so long to get my beverage. Last week, I ordered my usual pumpkin pie latte and the woman who was making it definitely sneezed right into her hand before she started working on my drink. Throughout the drink-making process, she proceeded to wipe her nose with her hand and touch her face several times. Meanwhile in the background, another woman was stocking pastries wearing just one plastic glove (why??). I regret not saying something to the barista about her sneezing because I definitely did not want my drink after that. I will point out that it was made with almond milk the first time... All of these experiences coupled with other random poor experiences (e.g., baristas not knowing what "half caf" means; getting drinks that only fill 2/3 of the cup) have added up, and I won't be back. read more

This little coffee shop is located on a busy corner across from P. Rowe, which works to their advantage. Nice amount of seating with tables large enough to get "work" done. I really wanted to avoid writing a review like this because I love CC's Coffee and haven't had any problems like this at any other location in Baton Rouge. First of all, this is the closest location from my house which also happens to be in the same immediate area my wife works, so we go here a lot. However, after our last experience we will never be back. We always get the same thing, it's not a complicated order by any means. Usually they forget to put sweetener in our coffee which I just kind of accept as a typical experience here, but this time when we received our latte's, they were filled with coddled milk. Yes, I'm serious. Luckily, we immediately tasted it so we didn't drink enough to get sick. We will never, ever be back. Which sucks because now we will have to go out of our way to get coffee. I love me a drive-thru for coffee. I wish all coffee shops had drive-thrus. I was leaving Baton Rouge, and found myself a CC's. While I've snobbed out real hard in NOLA on delicious local coffee shops, and all but turned my back on CC's, I will say their pretty consistent at all of their locations. I ordered a grande mocha and their spinach and feta croissant that they warmed up for me. My teller Jordan was very soft-spoken and I think we both struggled a little hearing each other. The drive-thru was quick enough and for 16 lovely ounces and a steamy croissant, I was no longer Morgan, I was a Baton Rougian named London enjoying a crisp Friday morning in the Red Stick. read more
