Starbucks food and drinks are pretty much the same wherever you go... We like that. What sets this location apart and gives it that extra special Midwest flair is the insane drive-thru line. Consistent 18-23 minutes waiting. Fine for those who have plenty of time on their hands to sit and do nothing while spitting out car exhaust and burning gas. Just for fun, no one seems to know what to do when the line extends into the Best Buy parking lot and entrance. If I could, I would open my own coffee/food location right across the street and show live video of the Starbucks line on an app. read more

I'm a diabetic and before I ran my daughter there I researched online my drink options. Satisfied with my choice, I ordered the drink I found online only to be told this location didn't have it. ( some sugar free vanilla spice option). However, the barista said she could make something very similar that would meet my sugar free requirements. Delicious! Thanks to her, I am a sugar free vanilla latte with 3 pumps chai addict. I've gone to other Starbucks and placed my order and have had comments made by the employees on how that must be yummy. This is my favorite chain to go to for coffee. The staff here is pleasant, most even remember me and my husband and say hi, ask how we are and what craft I'm doing. I've only ever gotten one mixed up drink, and that was quickly fixed when i asked nicely. I think most folks who have problems probably have them because of their own attitude. We will continue to come here so long as we are welcome! read more

It's true this Starbucks is truly a night mare when it comes to parking and going thru the line. However good news as they are building a new one out by the high school and SIU WHICH SHOULD DRAMATICALLY REDUCE THE CONGESTION PROBLEM. on the other hand I am more than pleased with the baristas. In particular the lady who normally works the day shift. She's on the ball, in fact remembers my reg order. I don't make it to Starbucks often, but when I do it's usually this location. Every time the staff is very friendly and helpful. A few weeks ago my friend and I went in here in the evening. I asked the cashier to recommend a drink that had little or no milk, and she quickly made a suggestion. Trusting her, I ordered what she suggested, and it was very tasty! I love the fall season because places like Starbucks start rolling out there pumpkin flavored drinks. I orderd the pumpkin spice frappuccino and within minutes my drink was ready! I had to have them add so syrup because of the overwhelming taste of spices but it was very tasty. The prices are always to high at Starbucks but for some reason people and my self included pay it. I also like the fact that at this location there is outside seating available. read more

I sent my daughter in for a cold drink. She came to our vehicle 13 minutes later. Other adults went into the store and came back out with their drinks before her. I will not be going back to this location. Come on Starbucks you can do better than that! Very disappointed. read more

I have gone to this Starbucks since it opened a couple of years ago and the barrista's are always extremely friendly and helpful and the coffee is superb! The only complaint I have is that they seem to change managers too often. The last Manager Mike was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure his customers were having a great experience and you could see that he cared about making sure his staff was happy and taken care of as well. The new manager they dredged up from somewhere is completely the opposite. Micah (new manager) is not friendly at all and has alienated several other regulars including myself by being just plain rude to his employees directly in front of the customers. Please bring Mike or another manager in that can actually do the job or you are going to lose long time customers like myself and many of my friends!!! Micah needs to go back to training and learn how to deal with customers and be a nice human being! read more

Terrible, terrible service. I waited 20 mins in line at the drive through to arrive at the window to realize they had not captured my order. Matthew, a Starbucks employee, was extremely rude and told me he could not take my order at the window and that i would need to go inside. I explained I had an infant in the back seat and that is the reason why I didn't go inside in the first place. He finally agreed to take my order at the window but did it in the snottiness way possible. Starbucks typically has a friendly staff so I was super disappointed to run into such an unpleasant person at the edwardsville location. read more

Attn: coffee drinkers~ If you are rude or just feeling grumpy, ask to have your drink remade, or ask for beans to be ground when you are ordering at a busy drive thru, the fabulous people at Starbucks (and I'm sure many other coffee shops) will secretly switch your much needed caffeine for Decaf, when ever they feel like it. This morning, I had a child with the flu and had to order my beans at the drive thru, despite my knowledge of this. I got an unmarked brown bag of my ground "espresso", rudeness and a smirk as I pulled away. I also ordered a drink, which I'm sure was made Decaf as well. Yes, we all get busy sometimes, and I'm sure running the coffee drive thru during morning rush hour is mentally and physically draining. I'm sure it requires unique high intelligence that other regular people just don't understand. Sure, someone asks you to grind them some beans when you are busy making drinks. You don't want to stop and do that. You know, *your job*. But do not deny people their caffeine they are paying you for, because you are angry at your coffee life or feel like laughing at the expense of others with your fellow workers. People spend a lot of money on Starbucks coffee, I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate it if they learned you gave them Decaf on purpose. You don't know peoples lives, it's not your place to decide who gets real caffeine and who gets tricked. Give people the drink they ordered, do your job, period. They didn't know that I worked at Starbucks in New York for many years and I know all the inside secrets and coffee power trips. I smiled back, pulled away, parked my car and went in, sick child and all to exchange my unmarked, suspicious bag of coffee. I will say, the looks on their faces were completely worth the whole ordeal. The morning staff at this Starbucks is one of the rudest and uppity that I have ever encountered. But I will continue to buy my beans there, and I will do it through the drive thru in morning rush hour if I feel like it. That's their job, and I am a paying customer.
