Best way to describe the ambiance is, sleek, modern and minimalist. It makes a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy your coffee and have a meaningful conversation with friends. My visit was on a Monday, so it was a great way to kickstart a new week. Once I glanced over their pastry case, I knew exactly what I wanted. I'm a fan of scones and blueberry-lemon is a favorite flavor and they just happened to have one in their case. As my caffeinated beverage, I choose a vanilla and honey latte iced. The scone was top-notch. I was impressed by the number of blueberries that filled my scone. I also enjoyed the tangy flavor the lemon gave it. Blueberry & Lemon, in my opinion is a perfect combination. The texture of the scone was right in the middle of moist and dry, which gets a two thumbs up from me. My iced latte was a great way to start my Monday and new week. The vanilla flavor with the blend of honey, went well with my scone. I enjoyed that they used whole milk in the preparation, it adds a richness to the latte. The cashier who took my order was super friendly and made giving and taking of an order a fun experience. Having been a barista, I liked the professionalism of the young lady who made mine. The tone of voice from a supervisor, is what kept them from getting 5 Stars. This shop has a great and cozy atmosphere. The baristas are nice and quick with the orders. They were also handling drive thru orders, so kudos to them for making it seem. The drinks were delicious. Also, I loved how they made the cold foam on the sticky toffee latte vegan. My lactose intolerant self was happy! I love Goshen Coffee! They have a location in Edwardsville and Soulard. The style is very funky and fun. I love their merch items because it's stuff you actually want. They have a large menu of drinks and always do seasonal drinks as well that are always delicious. Service is awesome with super friendly people. This place has a modern vibe with a small-town feel. The pastries are STUPENDOUS! And as are the decor. People working here are really nice as well but it never feels like you are under any kind of pressure despite obviously being catered towards college students and busy professionals. I'm been here several times now. It is such a great place to get some work done while enjoying a hot or cold beverage, or even a little breakfast or lunch. Today I tried the hot chaider--steamed apple cider/juice, house-made chai, and a splash of orange juice. I tried it iced the last time I was in, and I liked it alright. I really enjoyed it hot, though! I also grabbed a bite for lunch. I've had one of their Avocado toasts before and enjoyed it. Today I got the kicking goat cheese whip toast. Yum! At $9, the price was meh, but it tasted good. I don't love their hot chai, cold brew, or many of their lattes; I really wish I did. However, I've been returning anyway to get some work done. The seating and electrical outlets are plentiful, and I enjoy the environment. The food is nice. And now I know a few drinks I enjoy. I'll likely continue coming back here from time to time for a few hours of deep work. read more

I had a great first experience at Goshen coffee! They are doing drive-thru and order ahead as of right now. Remember to wear your mask in the drive thru! What I ordered: I got a latte with oat milk and sugar free vanilla syrup. Communication is terrible, and I was told that every single weekend is that busy and I should expect to wait 20 minutes for a coffee when visiting. No coffee is worth that kind of insane weight. I discovered this place on Yelp while staying at the Country Hearth Inn down the road. It's all that a coffee shop should be. Great scones and other pastries, good tea selection (for us noncoffee-drinkers). They even have comfy chairs. Plenty of outlets to plug in laptops. Music is nice but not too loud. read more

Recently, I tried their espresso tonic, which is shots of espresso poured over lemon seltzer water with a pump of simple syrup. It was really refreshing and I enjoyed the lemon and coffee together! Pleasant and cozy coffee spot. We dropped by on a Friday afternoon. There's lots of seating and it wasn't too busy. They have some cute store themed coffee merch and some gift baskets for the holidays that looked really neat. Next time I stop by, I'm gonna check those out a little more. It's a shame because their coffee is amazing but I was in the drive thru when their machine broke and they had absolutely zero plan of action besides having us sit there and wait. Where are the critical thinking skills? Have the first car pull up so the rest of us aren't trapped? I'm not kidding we were there behind one car for 40 minutes due to the employees' utter lack of problem solving ability and the stubbornness of the car in the front of the line. We asked the driver to pull up after a half hour and they refused and the worker at the window said we were harassing their customers? For some reason an employee was able to come out to explain that the machine was broken but they weren't able to instruct the cars who wanted to wait to pull up so the rest of us could leave. If you can come out to apologize you can come out to bring the guests who want to wait for hours their coffee. This is why people can't function in society, it is just absolutely mind blowing how badly people work through any type of conflict especially something as simple as a broken coffee machine. This place is AH-mazing! The overnight oats are a personal fave - sweet & filling with fresh fruit and yummy granola. My kid loves the sticky toast. Coffee is some of the best you will find anywhere. I took off a star for a couple of reasons - first, pricing of some of the items is high (is the sticky toast is basically honey/butter on a small piece of toast and it is $4. Second, the drive-thru process is terrible - there is no preorder so there is always a long line at the window. Which brings me to my last complaint - the online ordering platform is less than ideal. You can only order a short list of items, customization is limited, you have to add items to cart multiple times for it to take. read more
