‼ In honor of Labor Day, I thought I'd share a little leadership story (and a confession). Exceptional leaders are hidden everywhere! It is no secret I have a really bad habit... Starbucks. But hear me out--coffee is cheaper than therapy, and SARA at the Forest City drive-thru is basically my life coach in a headset. When she's on the window, it doesn't matter if the line is wrapped around the building, halfway down the road, it moves like magic. Sara is always chipper, kind, and smiling. Honestly, I've seen less efficiency at corporate board meetings. This morning I told her: "I have to commend you on your drive-thru management skills." She shrugged and said, "I don't know if it's me." Umm, no Sara--it's DEFINITELY you. She laughed and said, "Well, feel free to leave me a Google review." So here it is: Sara deserves ALL the reviews. I live for coffee. My work life isn't sustainable without it. But Sara doesn't just hand me a latte--she hands me the energy to survive meetings, conquer the impossible, and pretend I'm well-rested. That's leadership. The good kind--the kind you can't find just anywhere. So thank you, Sara! I hope you see this. And I hope the rest of you leave her an amazing Google review too. Because if Starbucks ever loses her, I'm going to need a formal bereavement leave. read more

Luke warm coffee for the second time. Poor service and the place wasn't busy. Not happy

always rushing and running only to get the orders wrong. After the third attempt I was able to get my drink and breakfast sandwhich served correctly. Expensive prices and crappy service. No wonder they need to close locations down. I will be supporting my local cafes instead. read more

This morning I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. I received said sandwich and got a $12.28 price tag on the bread?

This Starbucks has one of the most RUDE workers ever. A tall mixed girl who is usually at the drive thru window. Last time I was there, I had ordered ahead about three minutes before I pulled up to the drive thru. I got up to the speaker and told her my name and that I'd just ordered. She told me to come back around in five minutes because they weren't ready. I just don't understand why the people who are ordering at the window can stay in line but I have to come back around. Then, when I got up there, she handed me my drink and sandwich without even glancing at me. She's done this multiple times. She absolutely sucks as a worker and is giving bitch. The others are nice and my coffee is always good, but this woman almost always ruins the experience when she is there. read more

The staff are INCREDIBLE for the majority. Very friendly. The coffee however is terrible. It taste old and my order is never consistent. Paying almost $9 for a coffee is already outrageous... at least get it right. Sometimes they have your mobile order ready in 1 minute and there have been times I have waited 20+ minutes past the time it says it will be ready in the app. There are days they only allow you to come through the drive thru and the doors are locked. I even saw a customer leave with a mobile order once and come back minutes later saying he grabbed the wrong drink. The staff member put the drink back with the other mobile orders!!! I really was shocked they didn't remake it since it went out the door! I am so ready for Dunkin to come to the area because I will not return to this location. read more

My drink and cake were both delicious and were made exactly as ordered. Wait time was very reasonable. The staff is super friendly and the store is very clean inside. I'm so happy that there is a Starbucks in Rutherfordton now! read more

You have 1 job... make expensive coffee drinks. Why is it so hard to get right??? Like, there's even a little sticker that goes on the side of my cup that says exactly what should be in my drink, yet it's wrong almost. every. time! Then when you re-make it you usually get it wrong again! Unbelievable! I usually have to make 2 trips through the drive through or just deal with having paid an exorbitant amount for something that's wrong. PLEASE figure it out read more

Our family was inside enjoying our drinks. The lights were turned out on us before closing time. There was no warning. It was unsafe and unprofessional. Very disappointing. read more
