I typically do not get this type of service up the street, was purchasing some ink from Staples and ended up deciding on getting Starbucks. Customer service blew me away extremely nice and helpful, my drink was discontinued, but Connor made it super easy to be able to pick a new drink. His friendliness and kindness made my day! And has now made me thinking of driving all the way down here to get my Starbucks instead of the one closest to me. Popped into this location because I was craving a Marshmallow Dream Bar. Surprisingly the location was not crowded so there was no line, no wait. The barista who assisted me was cool. He asked if I was getting a drink too and I told him no, I really just came in for the bar. He suggested an ice water because I was going to need something to wash it down. I could not argue with that so a ice water it was! The location is clean and spacious! I'm totally loving the layout of the newer locations.. more seating, brighter lighting and super inviting whether you are working or catching up with friends. They are taking on a more lounge like coffee shop vibe! read more

Not sure why the poor ratings. They must be outdated. Comparing to other Starbucks in the area, the Cowan, Bragg, and Carl D Silver locations, this one IS the best. I frequent each Starbucks regularly. Like, even though I prefer this one, the quality is pretty similar to the others and I usually do the closest one. Now why do I choose this location as my fave? 1.) They always have the most stock. I love the cups, and I frequent each location trying to find my faves. For some reason, this is the location with the most. They seem to be the busiest too, but handle the traffic well. 2.) The coffee here is absolutely the freshest of the locations. They'll put fresh brews on for customers, and let them know they're doing so. I have had old coffee at Cowan and Bragg more than I'd care to have again. 3.) This location has the nicest seating area, tied with Carl D. Silver, but this location has USB port tables. Utter slam dunk. 4.) THIS IS THE ONLY LOCATION WHICH REGULARLY HAS CARAMEL DRIZZLE. Like, whoever the manager is that keeps up with orders, freaking on point. If they don't have something, I know the others don't. 10/10 my favorite Sbux and I go here almost daily. read more

I've never encountered a friendlier staff. We're on a road trip driving through. Not only did they make my triple blonde espresso with cinnamon dolce and a splash of sweet cream over ice perfectly...they also served with a smile and the young lady in the drive through made us feel welcomed. While trying to transfer my Apple Pay funds she was generous enough to honor me with the cup on the house. Stopped in for some caffeine to finish out our long drive home and was SO impressed with this location. Store was very spacious and clean (although the bathrooms were a little gross, I think more so from people not being respectful enough to clean up after themselves and less that the staff doesn't clean it). They had tons of cups in stock too compared to other locations I've been to. I really wish I would've taken notice to the staff members names because every single employee was amazing and kind, and very patient with our group who couldn't decide what they wanted and ordered like four different times so close to closing lol. This is my of my favorite Starbucks to go to and get my caffeine fix. The entire staff is always amazing. One of their managers Devon always pay special attention to details and the baristas are always super friendly and willing to help in any way, especially Luke. This location can be busy at times especially the drive through, but if you are familiar to the area, you know the location of the store has a lot to do with the business. It is the closet drive through Starbucks to Interstate 95, and it is very easy to get to weather going North or South. There are I believe five Starbucks in the Fredericksburg area, if you are counting the one in the mall, but I will always make an effort to go to this location every time I am in need of my go to drink! read more

Listen, Starbucks is Starbucks. They have become the McDonald's of the coffee world, but I mean that as a compliment. I'm referring to their consistency... When I order a Caffè Mocha, it shouldn't vary much from store to store, and universally, Starbucks gets it right. This location makes as consistently good an espresso drink as any of the others, but the staff is fast and courteous, and this store has a drive thru window. Sure, I'd like to hang around and stare at the soccer moms all day, but I don't always have that kind of time, so the added convenience of the drive thru is a big plus. My rating of "moderate price" is also on a bit of a sliding scale. Their prices are par for the course as compared to other gourmet coffee chains, like the Caribou Coffee, or the Coffee Beanery. If you want a cheap cup of drip coffee, go to Dunkin Donuts, or the actual McDonald's. read more

This Starbucks is on Route 3 but it's the one across the street from the older mall with the Big Lots and the Allman's Drive-thru BarBQ in it; not the one in the newer Central Park/Spotsylvania Mall area. I like this one better. Its drive-thru seems to be hopping all the time, but inside it's quieter and more conducive to cerebral work as opposed to just a lot of mindless chatter. Much of the staff comes from UMW; maybe that's why. In any event, they do try to remember you and your poison, and for me anyway they often get it right. And this place seems cleaner, including the restrooms. It makes for a good excuse - I mean, reason! - to ride to Fredericksburg just for a cup of Starbucky Joe! read more

Simply put, their coffee and espresso taste like they never clean their machines. Go up the road and brave going inside for a good drink at the Bragg Road Starbucks. Every time I've come to this location, I've been treated to a muddy-tasting, bitter drink. It doesn't matter what I order. If it contains coffee, it tastes somewhat like dirt. The iced tea also tastes consistently over-brewed. Service is quick but hit-or-miss in the friendliness department. Starbucks employees are usually chipper and facilitating. The ones here are prone to being short and flat, not much different than a McDonalds drive-thru. The busier they are, the less likely you are to get that warm, Starbucks greeting. At the Bragg Road and even the Southpoint location, everyone is upbeat even when they're swamped. The people here feel like they're being crushed by the weight of the sludge building up in their espresso machine. Overall, not a good representation of the Starbucks brand. It seems like they need more employees to keep up with maintenance and prevent burnout. read more

One word to describe this drive-thru is SLOW. I waited 20 minutes in the drive thru today. They only had 1 espresso machine working at that time. This is the 3rd time this year they've had only 1 working espresso machine. The drinks are consistent and the staff is friendly. I pass this one everyday on my way to work, so I usually stop there. I am very surprised at the low reviews for this location! I never have a bad latte there, and have never had a latte that tested like dirt. I have had lattes that taste like dirt at the new drive thru on Route 1 and Bragg Rd. I stopped going to Bragg Road for that very reason years ago. Back to the reason I am writing this review. The lattes at this location are excellent, not just the drinks, but the personnel are friendly work had to keep things when it is busy. They are tops to me! read more

Previously on coming to this Starbucks location, I was very appalled at how the staffs attitude was. The cashier was very rude and treated me like I was stupid when I asked for "Mocha Frappicino" and claimed they didn't have it, then she walked away made the wrong drink and the wrong size. This past experience was awesome though. I had just gotten back from Sky Zone with my friend and the cashier was amazing. We had always wanted to get a cup of whipped cream for it is delicious. He gave it to us free of charge! He was nice and the service was fast even though it was packed. I love this Starbucks location, however, a barista made me feel very uncomfortable yesterday. My family and I are dairy-free for health reasons. We know this can be a pain so we always preorder. We ordered two impossible sandwiches no cheese. When I got to the drive thru, the barista told me that the sandwiches had been made with cheese and that it was very difficult to remove the cheese. Concerned, I asked if some was still on the sandwich. She said no and repeated that it was very difficult to remove the cheese. At this point, I didn't have confidence in the food I was about to receive. After a long pause, the barista then said that she could make new sandwiches if I really wanted them. I felt embarrassed that I needed to ask her to make sandwiches the way that I had ordered them. Because it is a health issue for my family, I went ahead and asked. When I got to the window, the barista did not look at me and didn't say a word to me. I felt absolutely awful and it wasn't until I talked about this experience with a friend who is also a Starbucks employee that I realized this was not okay. 5 stars because I have never had a bad experience at this Starbucks and will continue to go here, but I don't think I'll order at that time again. read more

I stopped at this location once, I will stick to Spotsy! The tax in Fredericksburg is probably not that big of a deal to most people, but to me it's ridiculous. I like the fact that the drive thru is open 24 hrs, so is the one in Southpoint. But I will pass on the one in Southpoint, until one day, someday! The regional manager or someone higher up gives some of the people that work there the boot, and hire friendly staff, who smile and love their job, and please for the love of god FIX your machines, the drinks that I order taste like they are watered down, and I'am paying almost $7.00, get it together!
