Gosh, Nicola, where do you get off posting reviews of Starbucks? We know already! Right?!
Well, to be honest, I've been putting off reviewing this particular Starbucks establishment, but not for the reasons you're thinking. You want to know why? It's because.... it's because I like it so much. And I know this sounds cheesy, but... it's my favourite Starbucks. And I kind-of-sort-of thought that it was Glasgow's best kept secret.
Wrong!
For the first 6 months to 1 year of this Starbucks being open, it was heaven. There is plenty of seating, including comfy seats. You can sit by the window, enjoy ample sunlight, read your book and write and generally enjoy the world passing you by. Well, it seems that is no longer the case.
The secret got out.
Every time I've gone in here since I moved back to Glasgow in November, it has been absolutely packed to the rafters. Perhaps there are still quiet times to be found, but I have not yet been so lucky.
So this 4-star review is cast out onto Yelp in the hope that those quiet times still exist. And if not, well, the secret is truly out now. There is still plenty of seating, it's still very tastefully decorated, and it's still the cleanest and one of the newest Starbucks in Glasgow.
Oh, and one of the baristas looks like he could be James McAvoy's brother. Score. read more
