I feel like I should update this review because lately I have noticed the service seems to be better. The baristas seem happier and the overall cleanliness has improved as well. I still think this is a really busy location so not great for a meet up. And the seating here is awkward and uncomfortable... but the improved service makes me more comfortable for popping in and out when I need my caffeine fix. read more

They have been messing up my order for so long now but I keep giving them a chance because i think they will get it right. I only get an iced coffee with 2 pumps of white mocha.... how hard can it be? Today the barista decided to add 4 pumps or maybe more. Again, it's a Starbucks. This one is located at 75th and Shadeland on the corner of a little strip that also houses the popular Caplinger's Fish Market. Inside is VERY small as is the outside so seating is limited. Great for a drive through -- you have to go around the other end of the strip mall by Donatos to access it. This is my all time favorite Starbucks. Sometimes when you have a harder drink order, with substitutions and what not, the taste of the drink varies on a daily basis depending on who makes it. This Starbucks is the ONLY Starbucks to constantly make my drink correctly and tasty. The employees always have such a great attitude, even when they're busy and running around all over the place trying to get you your drink as fast as they can. This Starbucks always actually HEATS UP my food. So many times other stores will 'warm up' my sandwich, but it's done so half ass that my bread it still tough. If you've had a bad experience at a Starbucks I most definitely recommend trying out this location to make the experience right. read more

This location has always had quick, accurate service. One time I was feeling sick and had a particularly bad day, so I thought I'd go to Starbucks for a drink and a small treat. That's a big deal to me too because I only go to Starbucks maybe 5 times a year. I reached in my purse to grab my wallet and realized I had left it in my gym bag. I told the barista that I'd have to go home to get it, and then he just told me he'd cover the order himself. I almost cried I was so happy! I don't frequent this location much, anymore, since we moved. But when I do, I rarely have any issues. They're nice and check on things before you order them, to make sure they're still available. They always roll out the new menu items so I'm able to try all of the yummy stuff Starbucks has to offer. I gave them 4 stars because they get packed and backed up at times. During the super busy times (before and after work), expect a wait. They try their best to be efficient so be patient. There's always the drive thru but the way it is set up, it wraps around the back of the building and spills into the parking lot, in front, making it somewhat of a nuisance. I come here often to get work done and occasionally a strawberry frappuccino. It's always clean and inviting. I give this location 4 stars because of an employee who made my experience more frustrating than necessary. Starbucks recently changed the strawberry frappuccino recipe and name to "serious strawberry frappuccino" but I had been used to ordering it as a "strawberry frappuccino" for years. When I ordered it, the barista said "We don't have that anymore." and left it at that. I was very confused as I had just ordered it a week prior which I mentioned. She then replied, "we have the serious strawberry frappuccino..." How annoying is that... I'm quite sure she knew what I meant. read more

This is the slowest and least friendly starbucks I have went to in Indy. I work close to this location so I frequent it quite often. They are slow. Even when the lobby is close to empty and the drive thru is slow. I have waited and waited and waited on basic drinks with barely a smile when my order was finally ready, let alone an apology for the extended wait. I am usually very patient and have never said anything to them except thank you but this evening was it This has happened repeatedly to me at this location so I had to come to yelp. I have had great experiences at other locations and will make it a point to not come to this one anymore. Clean store. My drinks are always correct and delicious. However, the service is very slow. When doing a mobile order it typically says 4-9 minutes but I end up waiting 5-10 minutes for my drink AFTER arriving. They need more staff but drinks are on point. read more

My opinion might be slightly biased because waaaaayyyyy back in the day I worked at this location. Although, the fact that I am now a customer should speak to the quality of this store. Overall this store is clean and fairly efficient. Sometimes they can be uber sloooww in the mornings, which is why I marked them down a star. On more than one occasion I had to wait quite a bit of time. Fortunately, I went in today around 7a and everything was easy breezy. Most of the baristas are fairly friendly and are always ready with a drink recommendation. One thing I like about this store is that they value their customers and make an effort to learn something about you especially if you are a regular. Not only was the staff pleasant and happy, they did so today under duress. Bad weather had taken out their ability to accept credit cards. When i was about to cancel my order since I had no other way to pay, they gave me my venti specialty coffee on the house! Free! With a smile! And I am not a regular customer - I'm not even local. Great service, great atmosphere and great coffee! Parking is limited ans seating inside can get cramped, but it is still one of my favorite locations. It's a little like Cheers, where everyone knows your name! Why don't people who go often use the Starbucks cards, don't people realize that after so many drinks you get a free one! My coffee shop of choice yet somedays they miss the mark. A couple of years ago, I ordered a vanilla cappucino and after driving away, found out I had paid $4 for a cup of hot milk....they forgot to put the coffee in. Today I order the same thing and there is no vanilla in it. It tastes like plain 'ole too-strong "just coffee" (which is why I add vanilla to cut the bitterness of the strong taste of their coffee). There have also been times my cappucino has been more foam than coffee. Make no mistake .... I like this store and I like their coffee. Just once in a while it is disappointing. read more
