The service was so slow. I sat in the drive thru for over 15 minutes and hadn't even received my drink. Yes it was the lunch rush but there was barely a line and the parking lot was empty. I understand mobile orders are important but why are we prioritizing customers who aren't even in the store versus those who are there and waiting. Do better. read more

Like many Starbucks, the staff changes and so does the environment and service. There has been enough positive change at this location to warrant a new review (see below for previous review). When in Kalamazoo, this is my choice location to get work done. The current staff is very friendly and on many occasions, recently, they have gone out of their way to be service oriented. I enjoy my time here but sometimes it is difficult to get a seat. As far as the product, it's Starbucks. You can tell there has been a shift in management or training. Not a lot to be said. It's your typical Starbuck's. They did a good job making a consistent drink in a quick turnaround time. I would always recommend ordering ahead using the app. They have a really nice rewards program. I use Starbuck's a lot because of this program. While the coffee and atmosphere aren't quite as nice as local roasters and shops, the convenience makes it a regular choice for me. read more

The sandwiches are good and freshly made, very hot and delicious, my husband's sandwich fell off of the bag as the bottom just opened up, luckily a barista saw what happened and immediately offered to make him a new one, nice, they forgot to make his coffee so he had to ask for it, by then I had finished my sandwich. He got his coffee and me sandwich and we proceeded to leave, his sandwich fell off the bag again as we got in our car, , it fell on his shoe, he still ate it, we were in a hurry. we just left. read more

Gotta love my Starbucks! While I do love other coffee places as well, Starbucks, in my opinion, has the best rewards program as well as running special promotions where you can earn extra "stars" or double "stars". The staff at the Stadium Drive Kalamazoo location and the B Dr. North Battle Creek location have the friendliest staff! They have some food items -- I typically get a bagel or the lemon pound cake because I can't eat eggs -- I can eat eggs that are cooked/baked into other things, but I can't eat a cooked egg without a bad reaction so I stick to the snack type foods. I really like their plain bagels but if you come later in the afternoon, they typically sell out of the plain bagels. While I know many people comment on "corporate store = corporate coffee" but the staff at the Kalamazoo Stadium Drive and the Battle Creek B Drive North locations are really personable! read more

I really have NO idea why this location has such a bad review, the workers are great, helpful and quick on their toes! They got me my drink (and yes I timed it being curious) in 3 minutes 19 seconds and they were SWAMPED, they have a cute little set up inside, and one thing I love is the comfy seating. Yes they are semi connected to another business and the drive through is a weird mess, but they are efficient, nice workers, clean and have great prices. They have this amazing little thing I didn't get the pleasure of taking a photo of (left my phone in the car) but, they have a couple baskets to collect toiletries, like shampoo, feminine products, lotions and so forth! I think it's a very amazing thing to do, plus, they have coffee and let's face it, COFFEE IS LIFE! If you have given a low review, try this place again! I recommend the Caramel Frappuchino ! This particular location is great. My drink is consistent (i basically get the same drink every day) and the staff is very nice, even at 6 in the morning. I like to come to this specific location to study and do my homework because I cannot do it in my room and I love Starbucks so why not. I do like the setup, the open space, and how close it is to me. BUT it is absolutely freezing inside, might not feel like that to the workers since they are running around and obviously working. BUT the lobby is astonishingly cold, I feel the need to almost bring my hat and gloves with me. Anytime I come in I do not see one person take off their coat around me. A little disappointed with my morning coffee this morning. I ordered a grande caramel white mocha with and extra shot of espresso at a warm temp so I could immediately drink it and it not be to hot. They completely forgot to put any espresso in it at all. I called and they were very good about remaking it. The girl who made it wrong the first time even gave me a Venti this time instead of a grande but then made it too hot for me to be able to drink, even after asking me if I wanted it warm again. Kind of a weird location. If you are coming from the wrong direction, at the wrong time of the day (like I was) it can be difficult to get to. However, the drive through was easy with easy access to the highway. My order was quick, but then the guy at the window just walked away. A lady returned with my credit card (I'm always nervous when people pass my credit card to each other)... and the guy never came back! However, it's drive through... and they handed me my receipt without having to ask (which is a bonus!). 3 STARS read more

This Starbucks is basically the worst. Not as bad as the one on West Main, but pretty close. I went in today to order some coffee before class, and I ended up waiting over 15 minutes (at 5:00pm) for my drink. Why? First, the barista who rang me up scanned my app and used my remaining money even though I told her I had stars to use. She then proceeded to use the stars to pay for the rest of the drink instead of the entire drink. She did not offer to fix her error. Then my cup sat on the bar for 13 minutes while the barista making drinks proceeded to fill 3-4 other orders that came in after mine. She asked what I was waiting for. I told her. She said my drink would be out shortly. It sat there so long after that, the label fell off the cup and everyone just ignored it. After I had waited for 13 minutes someone else asked me what I was waiting for. I told her and pointed to the cup. And she picked it up and said "sorry 'bout that" and then hastily made the drink. By the time I left I was there for 16 minutes and was late for class when the store was not even busy. The drive through was busy, but my drink should have been made quicker and had I not said anything I would have been waiting even longer. No one offered me any kind of solution to fix the money issue or the extra wait time. read more

This Starbucks magically never has oatmilk in stock whenever I go to this location, which I go to 3-4 times a week. Their customer service continually has gotten worse, today they didn't even have my order in the system after I ordered at the register. Terrible. Took 20 minutes to get through the drive through line only one car in front of me. Drink was poorly made and served with the wrong lid due to running out. To boot watched them hand my drink into the car in front of me who handed it back because it wasn't theirs. Not cool in covid times. Typically I love using the app to order my coffee so I can bypass the lines. This particular Starbucks is extremely slow. I placed my order 10 minutes before I stopped in. When I walked up to the counter there was no sign for mobile orders as they're typically is. I waited for a few minutes and then ask the cashier. My ticket had not even been started yet. People that came in after me receive their drinks before mine. This defeats the purpose of the mobile app. It's not like they were busy. This is by far the worst Starbucks on earth. Unless Mogadishu has a Starbucks. I came in at 2pm on Aug. 9th and they were SLOOOOOOOOOOOW. I came in because the cars wrapped around the building. The register female was so slow (and I'm not going to say it's because of her size) and surly and made no eye contact that I dropped my Veranda instants and went to the grocery store nearby for their generic bottled latte. And keep in mind I felt the hostility 5 patrons deep in line, because the girl at the register made a comment about the rudeness of Yokozuna when she walked off. Coffee Nazi alert!! Rachel the manager was very condescending to me after not listening to me when i asked to help describe how I like my custom made latte. When you spend $5 on a latte you like it to be made right. I told the Barista I had a custom order and she was very happy to work with me. However, Rachel stepped in and disregarded me altogether and started to make my drink wrong. When I asked her to start over she got irritated and told me I could let her do her job or leave. I thought helping customer's get the drink they want was her job. Rachel has some clear control issues where she feels customers are here to follow her commands. She finally threatened to call the police when I would not leave without my coffee. I've been a loyal Starbucks Gold customer for years. An absolutely horrible location. Every time I go they either are closing early with no explanation, or the workers are unnecessarily rude.

The lady (cute blond) behind the counter was rude. If you say, "How can I help you?" expect the customer to order. If it takes you a minute to login in say, "I'll be right with you." If the drink didn't have whip in it and you ask for no whip, don't snap like the customer is an idiot. And if your store is out something, don't roll your eyes because the customer ordered it. And if your checking them out and don't get the name in before they scan their phone for payment, don't freak out, we know what we ordered. You are in CUSTOMER service. read more

Please train your employees to manage the drive-through window appropriately. I ordered a Venti iced mango black tea and after I paid I was promptly handed my drink which I could tell was overfilled before it was even handed to me so I asked for a few napkins and it's a good thing I did because this employee ended up spilling my drink onto my car. This could've been avoided if the right amount of drink was inside the cup. read more

Not coming back here again, actually made an account just to share my experience. I go here because of the convenience, but the staff is extremely condescending. One staff member chewed me out in front of other customers when I pointed out she gave my drink to the wrong person (and wasn't going to make me another... how does that make sense?) and that was the last straw. I've never been so humiliated by a dining experience. Add the fact that they're always very slow, and really only show customer service to off-the-clock employees. Go somewhere else. The drive-thru employees are usually really nice, including Dorcas (who's awesome), but up front is a nightmare. read more

Starbucks -- you need to realize people like him will drive customers away. Starbucks can be a hit or miss. But I think the inconsistency is what turns a lot of people away. This location I've had some issues: wrong drinks and long lines. Even when I've complained, they seemed to not really care. That equates to poor customer service in my book. I do have to say that I do love their flavored teas. Really refreshing in the summer. When I do go, I like the iced lattes as well. Make sure you say light ice or they will fill your cup up. On a positive note, the caffeine is a great pick me up to start your day. read more

This location always seems to get drinks confused. In the drive thru, I have to repeat my very simple drink every time I stop. It's a bit annoying figuring I used to supervise a busy Cafe in the area and rarely had this issue. Most of the employees are very nice. Terrible service, unwilling and untrained staff. One star is even too high of a rating! All we ordered were decaf iced coffee pourovers and the barista said it was not possible to make this beverage! She said. "In the 4 years she has been with Starbucks she's never made or her an order for pourover iced coffee.". We enjoy these all the time at our local stores, and even when we explained how our stores make them, she still refused to even try! Anytime I ask for a bit extra caramel in a macchiato or cream in a cold brew, they absolutely drench it and give me a snarky comment about "hope you like it!" or "it was made with love!" On top of that, the store is never very clean, they're slow even when they're adequately staffed, and the employees are just plain rude sometimes. I have never written a review on yelp. However, I have been so pissed off, that this will be my first. At this particular Starbucks location it was the only time in 10 years a barista refused to allow me to pour my own soy milk. She said that if it was more than 3 ounces there was an "upcharge". I've been charged approximately three dollars for a coffee for 10 years, I couldn't believe she wanted to charge me more for adding sou milk.
