CLOSED FOR EMERGENCY Was in a hurry last Sunday and Lu Lus better coffee was closed. Zoomed into the parking lot of Starbucks and was greeted by this sign reading CLOSED FOR EMERGENCY. Judging from the other bad reviews, I suppose they were finding new staff and/or we're actually trying to stock up on product. I'm sure they reopened eventually, not that I care to ever come back. The first time I went here it was admittably busy. Tea took 10 minutes to make and then I got my coffee 15 minutes later. I was in a hurry as my guest was waiting in the car so I failed to check my cup. Got in the car and went to take a sup of my coffee and it was cold. After 25 minutes of waiting, I was served luke warm coffee. I tried calling and when the person answered they immediately hung up. I was too upset by then to call or come back. I'm sorry but in Houston, whenever I do find my self stuck at a corporate coffee shops the least they can do is serve a quality product. I am in love with Starbucks. There customer service, cleanliness, and expedience are uncanny. I am especially impressed with the mobile ordering service that allows you to pre-order and pay for your beverage or food prior to arriving at the store. Believe me, the lines are extremely long, especially first thing in the morning. Starbucks, please build another location, possibly on the East side. read more

I just moved to this town about 5 months ago and I have been here twice. They are getting better, not great yet, but give it a few months. I would have gave 5 stars but the blonde barista was rude, and I really didn't appreciate the attitude. The remodel changed a dated looking Starbucks to something I would want to be seen in. The windows, the open feel, the cut down curb in the drive through so you don't have to curb check every time you stop in. All these things have made this place so much better. I am going to edit this depending on my next experience here. If it is good my edited review will reflect that. I do like this location over all though. read more

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews considering my experience today was overall enjoyable. Stopped by for an iced coffee and a panini, didnt have to wait that long, and the employees were friendly enough. I am also a fan of the newly rennovated exterior and the updated drive through ordering system. This is the only Starbucks in all of Lawton, and I can see how it could get pretty busy, but I would hardly blame this establishment. Maybe Lawton just needs another Starbucks again! read more

Starbucks has always been my go to coffee place when out of town. While I have very few negative things to say about the quality of my drinks. On more than one occasion my drink either has been picked up by someone else, or several people have touched it to read what kind of drink it was. What happened to calling out a drink and a name!! Especially when it gets busy, and there are many drinks at the pick up!?? The worst is to receive my drink after way too much time as gone by, and the ticket reads drive thru, when I'm inside. Obviously to everyone my drink has been sitting in the drive thru window! I wish the higher-ups for Starbucks would read these reviews and do something about the new manager. The employees are running around trying to get things done while their new manager sits on her butt in the lobby. It doesn't seem to matter how many people are in line, she just sits and chills. I can't count the number of times they have been out of something to make the drink I order. It was never like this before the new management. I went in there last Thursday on the 8th for the happy hour, while yes there was alot of people there thats not the issue the issue was with a worker called Chloe she was very rude to alot of the customers, and she made one of them cry. The other workers fixed the issue with the woman crying but, it was very unprofessional about her being rude. She also seemed to not want to help any of the customers with their problems they had, yes I understand there was alot due to the happy hour their drive through line was past home depot at the time I understand being slow service wise but the rudeness was uncalled for. read more

It's the only coffee shop in this town and it is ran very inefficiently. I have been frequenting it because it's the only option for coffee. They are under staffed and the employees aren't educated on coffee. I know that I am spoiled with coffee, since I am from Washington state where there is a coffee stand on every corner. It takes forever to get your coffee and they forgot to make my boyfriend's drink both times we went together. Employees don't know how to ring out customers properly and both people in front of me were over charged and then given free drinks. Then drinks were made incorrectly and were just sitting up at the bar counter where customers go to retrieve drinks. This Starbucks badly needs help. I have never seen a Starbucks operate in such a disastrous way. read more

After avidly visiting Starbucks all over the world I have to say that this location is a serious disappointment. I have waited over 30 minutes for drinks on multiple visits. They are always out of food and drinks or cups and straws. Depending on the time of day you go, the staff is mopey, pissy and just overall just have no desire to be there. I would recommend a visit during the morning on a weekday where the more competent staff works. There are also constant issues with their computer systems, app-ordering and drive-thru. Hands down the SLOWEST cafe I've ever been to. I don't know who's fault it is but it shouldn't take 25 minutes for a black coffee. 25 mins. Black coffee. This isn't the first time as well. Little to no standardization on staff training when it comes to how orders are entered into the computer system. Several times I've been charged different amounts for the same order all because of how it was entered into the computer. Today, I had a five minute argument at the window because the venti size drink I ordered, that comes with 3 shots, said "quad" and the label, so I got 7 shots total in my drink in stead of the one additional (4 total....hence the "quad") that I wanted. Simple simple stuff like that needs to be fixed by a manager who knows what they're doing. Also, I am so tired of this place being "out" of food items. What kind of place is out of food before breakfast rush? Who doesn't have ANY fruit whatsoever in the store? Non locals don't want cake pops, brownies, and soda for breakfast. It used to be great, but a change in management has caused this place to fall off a cliff. I used to buy a beverage from them every day. EVERY day. The wait in the drive thru has gone from under 5 minutes to over 30 (36 minutes tonight - 09/12/2014). And the beverage was still made incorrectly. "No foam" means no foam, not 2 inches worth at the top of the cup. The employees don't care - they have to be giving away more beverages then they are actually selling. Cars drive off after waiting for their beverages to be remade because they came out wrong the first time. I went three weeks without patronizing this location and decided to give them another try tonight. "Can't get any worse, right?" WRONG! Save your time, and your disappointment. Stay away. read more

Awesome Starbucks w/ DRIVE THRU! Although I had to go in to order 4 drinks w/ 4 different payments (i know pain in the ass), but the barista was cool about it and didn't give me any attitude. This location was pretty busy and all our coffees came out perfect. What more can you ask for. Also I was happy to discover Starbucks now rings up your vanilla latte as a latte w/ vanilla syrup, which was a problem when using your Starbucks Gold card before as you get free flavorings with your gold card. I used to always have to order a vanil latte as a latte w/ vanil syrup but the barista informed me they can't order vanilla lattes on their system anymore it's just latte + whatever flavoring. read more

The best Starbucks I have been to... Been to many locations across the nation and they location has been the friendliest and fastest. The coffee is always fresh, and the people are always in a happy mood. The only down side is the parking can get a little congested , but I have noticed this seems to be the same at all of them, unless it's located in a target or mall.
