The food is typical Starbucks but served with a smile. I'm a pink drink expert. I've been drinking them for many years. Way before it was even on the menu. It's a nice pick me up. Very refreshing! The staff is always nice. Very approachable but a lot of Starbucks are intimidating. Not here thank goodness. The decor is minimum which I'm not fond of. I wish it were more cozy. It's pretty stark and to the point. We visited a SB in Tennessee for a football game and it was fantastic. A fireplace, and real seating. Very inviting! I wish this one was like it. Starbucks is Starbucks. The drinks and food here are the same as any other location. It might be a bit pricier (I've noticed prices are not consistent across locations), but whatever. The location, however, is tricky. There is no drive through and it's located at the dead end of a parking lot so you have to turn around if you can't find parking which makes it cramped and awkward and turns this into a run on sentence. Add that to awkward streets and turns near a busy intersection and it's kind of a mess. Definitely not a quick trip. If you have time to kill or need to sit with your drink for awhile, this is probably a good spot to go. Cheers. read more

Impossible breakfast sandwich looked nasty and my drink just didn't have any taste to it, not made correctly. Besides that the service was fine just the food was terrible. I love this Starbucks location. It is sort of hidden away from the main traffic areas of Hamburg. The staff is always friendly and they generally remember me every time I come in. Their coffee has always tasted good as well. I do get somewhat overwhelmed with their parking lot. It's shared with Chipotle. This is honestly the friendliest location I've ever been too! I was greeted upon entry by at least four of the employees. My drink was made promptly and correctly and my pupper loved his puppaccino. Lets start by saying, its a Starbucks. This one specific location doesn't have a drive thru. It is stuck in this hole beside a Sprint store opposite Hamburg. I have been here a few times, but to be honest I don't like getting out and walking into a place that I don't want to sit in and hang out at. That being said. Staff are nice and friendly. The coffee is exactly the same as every other Starbucks in the world. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. I very rarely post horrible reviews. Maybe that means I try to avoid horrible places; I'm not sure. It's also my belief that any problems encountered should try to be addressed immediately with a manager. This was one horrible visit that I was unable to resolve at the time I was there. I arrived in the early evening last night (February 4th, 2016) and ordered a tall decaf coffee. For those not of the Starbucks world, a tall coffee is the smallest, plain old coffee you can get. And no, I don't know why they call a small a tall. Since Starbucks stopped making decaf readily available after a certain hour, I had to wait for it to be brewed. I had no problem with that, thinking that it would at least be fresh. Maybe it was, but it certainly wasn't really hot. This itty bitty cup also cost over $2.00, and no refills allowed. I was not given a receipt. This always annoys me when I'm not at least asked whether or not I'd like one. A receipt shows me the exact time I was there. In this instance, it would also have reminded me of how much I paid for a bad experience. We were sitting in one of the tiny tables near the food case. I faced the case directly. My daughter and I were really looking forward to this experience. We love Starbucks coffee and we wanted to just enjoy our drinks. However, I couldn't help but be distracted from our conversation. The girl who had waited on me was filling the case with her bare hands on each and every baked good. No gloves. Nothing. Bare hands. Then she did something worse: she wiped her nose--really wiped it--several times with her bare fingers on her right hand and proceeded to handle more baked goods with her bare hands, loading them into the case. I couldn't take it. I went to her co-worker--the only other person working--and asked for a manager. He said there wasn't one. I asked for someone in charge. He said no one was until 5:30 the next morning. I told him what had happened and that this was a serious public health violation. I said that I was reporting it to the health department. I returned to my seat. He then told the girl what I had said. She raised her voice; I could hear her say very loudly, "Oh, REALLY?!!!" in a snarky sort of way. (I figured we were going to get our tires slashed at this point.) She then stormed to the food case and wrote "For Display Only" in bold letters. (This, I know, is a blatant lie. All food sold comes from the case.) THEN--she proceeded to sell the food she had handled with her bare hands. What I did wrong--and which I deeply regret--was not confronting the girl personally and not advising the man she sold food to that it had been handled in an unsafe manner. I really wish I had. What I did do today: I reported this to the health department restaurant inspection division. (By the way, it is also against the law to not have a certified food service manager on duty at all times.) I then called Starbucks corporate office to report the violations. I had an uneasy feeling that I wasn't being taken seriously by Starbucks and the process took a long time. I also didn't like their initial question of whether or not I'm a Gold Star member (or whatever they call it). That had no relevance. But I was insistent. When I was just told they would contact the store's manager, I figured it was going to be swept under the carpet and was doomed to be a lost cause. However, perhaps because someone was tired of hearing me, I was finally told it would also be referred to a district manager. I will follow up on this complaint. Why? Because I actually like Starbucks. I also dislike snotty girls with an attitude who serve me barely warm overpriced coffee that I love. I also dislike things like foodborne illnesses and being blown off. In the meantime, friends, please avoid this place. Also avoid the tall, snotty girl in her 20s or so with very long dark brown hair, large eyeglasses with brown frames, and a large tattoo on the inside of her right wrist. It's hard telling where else those fingers have been, but they've been all over the food and the coffee she serves. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location in Lexington! The lack of a drive thru is a blessing in disguise at this particular store. You can be in and out very quickly with a mobile order, or even stopping in and getting in line! The staff is always friendly and get you your drink quickly. In regards to this particular location there a few things to know. 1. No drive-thru. Yep, you have to get out of your car and walk. Gasp. 2. Parking sucks around lunch time. This is the best Starbucks in town! They always score 100% on their health department evaluation! The baristas are always on point, and friendly! If you ever get a drink you don't like, be it from here or another Starbucks, they'll always remake it for you with a smile! Also in response to Karen D. I know that they always have a food manager on hand, and this is the only Starbucks in town that uses the food case for display only. All the food in the case gets thrown out trust me -- I've seen it with my own eyes, and I've often asked for things that are sometimes "sold out", even though there are pastries in the case and they will tell you it is display only. I'm sure if you would have approached the barista she would have been able to make it right! They are so nice about customer complaints, and concerns. The store manager, Greda knows her customers and knows them well! You can often catch her in the lobby sitting down speaking with customers when they aren't busy! She frequently keeps up with me and my crazy life, and considering she sees hundreds of people in a day I think that's pretty amazing. Side note, I refill my brewed coffee frequently for only .53 cents -- as is the case for iced coffee, iced tea, and hot tea. Any Starbucks will gladly refill these drinks a maximum of two times in-store. (Can you tell I visit a lot?! LOL) I would give this Starbucks a visit, as they have done an excellent job at elevating the customer experience, unlike a drive thru where the only goal is speed of service, you get both speed of service and customer orientated baristas here! read more

I have stopped at this place too many times as I have gone up and down I-75 recently. While it's not the first Starbucks north of Knoxville (there is one in London and one in Richmond), it's a good midway point for my travels and a great place to fuel up on caffeine. The location is a little tricky, with the store visible from Man-O-War but having to enter from a back street. Yes! This is a great Starbucks and of course, they have wonderful beverages! I think the only negative thing about this location is that it doesn't have a drive thru. :( It makes that element really inconvenient. I'm kind of surprised because it looks like it would be really easy to make one on the side of the building but maybe someday. I think they recently re-did the inside and it looks really nice!! The people there have always been SUPER friendly and happy to help!! Went here today to take advantage of the holiday drinks and will be back for the next 2 days. What is happening these next three days (well actually, the last four days)? It is BOGO holiday drink promotion. You buy a holiday drink and get one for free! So I listed all of them alphabetically (8 in all)and I bought the chestnut praline and caramel brulee drinks. I figure I would stockpile these in my fridge because the half-life of caffeine is apparently 8 hours and if I drink one right now (3:30 p.m.), I probably will not get sleep tonight (shh..do not tell anyone!). Also, I had to get back in time to watch college football 3:30 p.m. line up. Side story: It was pretty funny because the promotion mentioned to share a drink (focused at maybe a relative, a stranger etc.), who one may meet and I saw a gal near my driveway walking with her dog. Chivalry would dictate I offer her one; however, NOT DURING FOOTBALL SEASON! I kind of rushed her to pick a side, so I could drive up and make a beeline to my t.v. I NEED COLLEGE FOOTBALL! This is the worst Starbucks in Lexington as far as staff goes. They used to have some great people working there but the last few times I've been it's been a bad experience. It's a nice location to meet someone for coffee but the service could be better. There is no drive thru at this location, and it isn't exactly convenient to get to if you are traveling on the interstate. I frequently visit the Starbucks because it is close to home. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always get chai tea latte without sugar, but recently when I went they told me they did not have chai tea latte without sugar. I was surprised to hear this and explained that I got it before but she said that they no longer carry it. She was very kind though and said she would give me what they had and if I did not like it she would take care of it and give me something else. There's a good amount of seating. There are plenty of healthy snacks such as a little lunch snack trays, juices and granola bars. There also some fun not quite so healthy options like danishes and muffins. They have merchandise in the store that you can purchase and they would also make good gifts if you're looking for any. The biggest issue with the Starbucks is that it does not have a drive-through.
